Indoor Swimming Pool

Yeap, it’s an indoor swimming pool in our house now. In fact, outdoor swimming pool is even bigger. The whole mooban is flooded to waist line and even the main road outside is one big pond now. Sigh…

We are safe and fine. Dun worry.

Parents are here

My parents are here with us until this weekend, and I’m so blessed to have them around so that I can work in peace. Both kids are with them mostly, and I don’t have to cook! Yippie!

I even had time to go for a facial and IPL session, and spent freaking 3.5 hours at the skin clinic! Without my parents here, I can totally forget about IPL. I don’t think I even have time for a home facial and using the blackhead remover. By the time I gao tim with the kids and send them to bed, I will be drop dead tired too. No joke. Really no time for home facial.

Ah…I’m so gonna enjoy my freedom now. LOL!

Kitchen Closed

MIL is here for a while, so my kitchen should be closed this week. She’s flying to China with FIL next Monday, but in the mean time, she’s cooking for us. Yippie!

She can’t do too much anymore, especially after her recent fall which hurt her rib cage, so I won’t place food orders like I did to my mum. :P We warn her not to clean up FIL’s apartment too, and also forget about changing the curtains. She used to do that whenever she’s here. Thank god FIL’s not using any heavy log furniture at his place, and she can just do some simple sweeping and mopping without moving the things around.

I’ll drop by her place after picking up the kids and getting them ready. Hubby and BIL will go there after work, which is slightly later. It’s best that I go there earlier to accompany her, instead of letting her doing the cooking alone. It’s not that I can help much in the kitchen but previously, she fell in the kitchen, stepping on mango skin!!! So, on the safe side, it’s best that we go there early.

Bye bye Suk Gong

Hubby’s uncle and auntie are flying back tomorrow, so the kids are going to miss them a lot. But anyway, we are going back next year so we will visit them again in Ipoh. :)

Healing Stage

I joked with hubby that this week must be the week that we made the most frequent trips to the hospital! We brought Isabelle to the hospital again yesterday, even if she’d just gone there a day before. Why? That’s because she had a high fever and we realized that we were out of paracetamol! This is the longest fever she has never had, for up to 5 days. Of course, she’s not catching influenza A or any serious virus, as tested, but her body is fighting infection.

Hubby thought we could just drop by the hospital and buy the medicine, but who knows, we had to queue for check up again. Sigh…But it’s ok la, at least this other pediatrician confirmed that she will be fine, despite the fever.

She’s still very active, but extremely moody and grumpy. She complains about dizziness and feeling hot, but other than that, she’s fine. As for Justin, he’s fully recovered. He’s back to his naughty self now!!!

Hubby is still having some coughing, but he should be able to get back to work on Monday. He’s been on MC for a week!

Right now, I’m back at work and he’s at home with the kids. I’ve fixed the lunch, so he should be fine with the kids. I did ask him to gao tim the laundry, clean the furnace filters at the sinks, and tidy the kids closets. Let’s see if he can do at least one item!!!

Hey, he doesn’t want a maid what, so sick also have to do house chores la. LOL! Anyway, he’s feeling better. :)

Visa Renewal Again

This month is a busy month for all of us. Firstly, we have to go to the immigration office on Monday, with the kids, to extend our expired visas for another 7 days. Then, hubby will apply his visa here in Bangkok and the kids will join under his employment. As for me, I will fly back next Sunday, and fix my visa the following morning.

I hope that my dad won’t mind driving me back to Ipoh after my visa submission as MIL is expecting me, and I need to pack some stuffs. It will only take a couple of hours, I suppose. There won’t be any meeting up with friends as time is really tight. Furthermore, my mom doesn’t seem to be happy with driving me around. :P

That’s the thing I hate about flying home as without a car, I feel so cacat. Very inconvenient to go out and meet with others or do my stuffs. So, now you know why I hardly go for gathering!!!!

Anyway, if everything works out fine, I should get my visa on Tuesday afternoon. If time permits, and if my dad can loan me the car, I hope that I can do some shopping! Really need to get a battery operated lash curler from Sasa!!!! And maybe some shoes? Oh well, that depends on my mom again. LOL!

I’ll fly back to Bangkok on Wednesday, and hopefully, hubby can handle the kids for 3 days on his own. This is the first time I’m away from the kids, and hubby’s taking over ALL THE RESPONSIBILITIES.

I’m not so worried about how he’s gonna feed the kids or if they have after school bentos or what, but my main concern is can he pick them up on time as the teachers leave work at 4.30pm, the latest!!! So, he better work on his schedule and don’t stuck in any traffic jam in the city.

As for this week, the kids will have some performance on Wednesday, in conjunction of Mother’s Day in Thailand, which falls on 12th (Thursday). Then, they will have a long weekend, and I might be working from home again.

Isabelle will perform a dance with some kids, and Justin is going to do his speech. He’s almost ready, but he speaks super fast and so unclear!!! It’s like a speeding bullet train trying to reach the destination ASAP. LOL! Oh well, like I’ve said before, as long as he’s got up there, it’s a big achievement already. :)

Isabelle’s got used to dancing on stage, so I’m not worried about her. She will be just fine. :)

Sleeping Separately

Isabelle’s nose is getting more sensitive, and she wakes up complaining about nose block some times. There was a night when she complained that she could not breathe, so she slept in separate room with daddy by using a fan instead of the air-conditioning. Me, on the hand, can’t live without air-conditioning, so I slept with Justin in my room. :P

Since then, she prefers to sleep with the fan. She even talks about moving back to her room and just use the fan instead of the air-con. But we haven’t make this changes yet as hubby was away last week on a business trip, and both kids tugged in with me again.

I don’t mind getting a new Sleep number bed if the kids agree on sleeping separately, but I know that hubby is suffering from separation anxiety. Yeap, not me, it’s HIM!

Maybe we should really do this soon, considering that Isabelle had already initiated it. But we have to talk to Justin into moving back to the kids room as well. Then, we have to settle the fan vs air-con issue. LOL! Justin will properly Select Comfort bed and cool room because he sweats in his sleep. So, it’s a tough compromise between the kids, unless they can sleep on their own in 2 separate rooms! That will be a major milestone, which I doubt will come any sooner.

Guests from Sing

BIL#2 and family will be here for a week today, and we are seeing them in a few hours. The kids really miss their cousins, and they have been talking about playing with them for days. Justin even wants to sleep with the boys, but I doubt that they want to tug in with him. LOL!

I’m not sure where are we going this weekend, but I think it would be great to make a trip to Funarium. The kids can have a great time playing there, while the adults can do some catching up. Or maybe all the daddies can play with the kids too. The best fat burner is to get sweaty and play with the kids!

For me, maybe I will just stick to my camera and snap photos. :)

Our House

I love my neighborhood. It’s quiet, peaceful, and the kids have lots of friends here. Most of the neighbors know that I can’t speak much Thai, so some of them speak to me in English. There are 2 Indian families here who have stay in Bangkok for more than 10 years, and I always meet the mothers at the playground. We have no language barrier, so we chit chat to each other mostly. Their kids love to come to my house too, and usually turn my place upside down. *slap head*

Our landlord stays in Japan, and she has asked us a few times if we would like to buy the house. Frankly, I don’t. I feel that the house is too small for us, and I can see some crack lines at some part of the house now. Most of the houses here have this problem, and I realized this after visiting a few neighbors’ houses.

If possible, I will try to settle Justin’s primary school first, then get another house in that neighborhood. There are a lot of home plans in this area, and it’s all depending on our budget. We have checked out a few house plans, and our favorite one is the one near to my office. But the gated community is too remote, and it’s too far from any of our desired school. Sigh…

But before we can set eye on any house plan, we need to build up our company first. We can only purchase the house with company’s name, as foreigners can only own condominiums but not landed property. That’s why hubby passed everything to me and said that our dream house is depending on me now. O.o

How stressful…

Fat FIL

My FIL is pretty fat. He eats a lot and he can’t go on diet. For his age, he might be too old for fat burner. So, he’s trying to take more veggies and oat instead of rice now. I bet with him last year that if he can lose some weight and put on his old pants, I would give him a treat of Japanese food. But then, he failed. LOL! He’s supposed to lose 2 inches on his waist but he only lost 1kg.

Now, he dares not put any bet with me anymore. LOL!
