We arrived in Penang yesterday afternoon and our kids greeted us happily there. They refused to let go of us and I was carrying Isabelle almost until bedtime. Same thing goes to Justin who’s clinging on his horse aka hubby. He said can go horsey ride now. LOL!

Both of them must have missed playing with their toys so the moment they stepped in the room, the invaded every corner of the room with their toys. Some of the old toys which were long abandoned were taken out too, but luckily, they were willing to clean up the mess with our help. If not mommy will go insane as I didn’t feel well again. It’s the journey, I think. So, I’m down with flu liao. sigh…

Isabelle insisted that all of us slept together in the same bed last night. She still feels very unsecured. When hubby’s out from her sight, she will ask “papa leh?” Poor thing…

On the other hand, Justin lost a lot of weight and he’s super skinny now. I think I have to get him measured again for his new knit tee and make sure that he eats well. He had fever after eating out with my parents. He wanted to have pizza and hamburgers and after that, he got sick. Then he told my mother, “Popo, I cannot eat out. You cook at home la. I’m sick la…” LOL!

Both of them are happy to see the photos we snapped of the house in Bangkok. Guess what they are really excited about? The purple fleece blankets we bought for them. :)

Of course, hubby lost weight after 2 weeks of shopping and work. I gained weight because I ate too much Thai food and durian. Argh!!! Did I mention that my SIL cooks well? She can really cook!!!

So, I will be back to my detox plan again. No need to get any lipovox la, just eat well and be busy with the kids. They are really clingy since they miss us a lot. So, it’s more about quality family time at the moment.

We received an SMS early in the morning from Xin Yi. She’s asking when will Isabelle and Justin be back home as she hasn’t seen them for more than a week. She missed them. I remembered well I told her that I will bring Justin and Isabelle away to Bangkok soon and she was very disappointed. She asked me why I have to bring mei mei away? Wah, that’s a tough question, and I can’t remember what my answer was. :P

Anyway, she can still visit them during the school holidays and it’s really near only wat. Besides that, just fly with AirAsia as the flight tickets are much cheaper. Just write 100 paid posts about drug rehab can buy a return ticket to Bangkok already la… LOL!

We will be back next week, so the kids can play with each other again soon.

My maid is going back to Indonesia for 2 weeks, and I know I will be really busy for days to come. My kids are attached to me and hubby, but she’s great at helping out with the chores and watching them for me when I’m out. Since she’s away, I think I will be busy being a silai at home and I don’t think I can knit or blog much until she’s back. Anyway, there’s not much to blog about lah. LOL!

Some of my friends said that some maids won’t come back once they go back, so I’m mentally prepared for it. We did hold back some of her salary because she asked us to do so. For the past 2 years, every penny she made was being sent back to her family and she’s the bread winner for all of her sisters, brother-in-laws, nephew and parents. See? So cham huh? I think she has got to some sense and didn’t ask us to send back her money for the 3rd year. She has to save up for herself too, and better stop feeding everyone in the kampung!

So, I’m going to occupy myself with the laundry, dirty bed liner, cleaning and sweeping some part of the big house and getting myself used to the life without a maid. Who knows? We might have some problem getting her work permit in Bangkok and she might not be able to come along. Frankly, she really hopes to come with us but I can’t do much besides asking for the agent’s help. But then again, she has to come back from her holiday first before we will do anything about the permit.

My kids love to go to Oldtown Kopitiam and so am I. However, hubby is getting sick with it since we go there almost every weekend. He’s out of idea on what to eat as he has basically tried everything, but his prince and princess want to go there, what to do?

Daddy, this place is nice mah…

It’s funny to see someone who’s not really particular about food being reluctant to eat at the outlets with cheap and nice food. So, papa, here’s a photo of Isabelle “begging” you to go there again as soon as possible…

Daddy, we come here la, I will give you a kiss. Muak muak…

Nah, faster say my kids are cute. LOL!

That kuku is the sound of Chinese word, not KK* ok? Go wash your brain with some Dettol. LOL!

I will never be a Ah Yi because I only have a brother. So all his kids will call me kuku, and don’t ask me to type it in Chinese Star as I forgot how to use that software. You should know how to write kuku, assuming that you know some Chinese. So, this is my niece, baby Elizabeth.

I hardly got to see her because my brother damn lansi and busy making money with his insurance biz. You need to find any insurance agent, go look for him. LOL! Maybe he’s working hard to make money for his family and my parents lah, and he should give his folks money mah. It’s a guy’s responsibility anyway, don’t you agree? I’m doing that, so he better does that too. If not, really boh leong sim. LOL! Thus, I forgive him for being so busy and seldom bring his girl to see us lah.

BTW, Elizabeth has her own blog now, and check it out ya?

I have always wanted to get my kids a Christmas tree and teach them how to decorate it with christmas lights and lots of decorations. However, I’m not sure what will MIL think about this since she’s a Buddhist and I don’t want her to get offended. I can do this at my mum’s place, but I know she will complain about the lack of space for storing after the Christmas season.

It’s only 2 months away before Christmas and I still can’t make up my mind about getting a Christmas tree. Unless we are staying on our own, then there should not be a problem anyway. Christmas is one of the best celebration of the year, and I would like my kids to experience it. Maybe we can just do this at my brother’s place? He as a white Christmas tree, and I think it’s always at the corner all year round. LOL!

I’m not sure if the led christmas lights are still up there now, but my kids can help him to decorate it if he doesn’t mind. However, I am not sure if the effect will turn out to be nice. Maybe they will just screw up the look. LOL! But it’s the process of decoration it which is fun. Then they can feel proud about their “masterpiece”. Mmm….maybe I can just get a small Christmas tree and place it in the room? That will be great too.

My kids have been in music class for quite some time. When I told someone when they are having lessons in Kindermusik, they thought that I’m “forcing” my kids into piano or any musical instruments! LOL! Maybe not all parents are aware of it.

Hubby has some cousins whose children are very talented in music. One of them play the piano, drum, saxophone and maybe some other instruments but I’m not aware of. He’s performing for church or private function too and he is now going to music school for his degree.

Maybe one day he will need a helpful computer music software to help him in producing his songs. I heard that he’s trying compose some songs for his band too. It would be good if he can really be famous one day.

So, will my kids be so good at music? I’m not sure about that, but they love their class. That’s good enough for the time being.

I keep asking my dad to get a computer at home. Since Dell Personal Computer is always having promotion, I told my parents to get one and install a web cam so that they can see my kids over Skype. My dad is not really keen about it even if I assure him that it’s easy to use the PC now. Most of the softwares are user-friendly and as long as there is the “Help” key.

Besides that, with Cordless Desktop, my mom won’t have to worry about my kids playing with the wiring when they are there. Unless they decide to hide the mouse, if not I would advice them to get the bluetooth cordless desktop too. I was thinking about getting a cordless mouse for some time, but Isabelle likes playing with the mouse! I think she may even drop it accidentally, that’s why I haven’t got mine.

So, if my parents agree on getting their PC, then I don’t have to be the translator whenever they call my kids. They don’t have 3G phones leh, how to do video calls?

My mum knows that Isabelle is very fussy lately because of the weaning process. She offered to bring Isabelle over to Penang and take care of her for me for the time being. Without seeing me, maybe it’s easier to curb her temptation of nursing. But Justin refused to let her go. I told him that Isabelle will be away for a while, just for a few days and will come back later. He said mei mei cannot leave him. He wants to stay with mei mei.

So, my parents didn’t come yesterday to pick her up. Actually, it would be nice for her to spend some time with my parents too. They are just too lonely and bored. A little kid will keep them busy, but they will be happily occupied.

Most of hubby’s family members are frequent travelers, especially FIL. He flies more than the total number of times I go to spa. LOL! He has been flying around since the past 20 years as his business expanded, so he likes to use those Airline Credit Cards. He has been using the credit cards for a long time, and his reward points can be redeemed for 2 return tickets to US!

He has always asked MIL to follow him around, but she was reluctant to leave the grandchildren behind. Not my kids lah, I can take good care of themselves. They are BIL#1’s children because both the parents are working. If only the tickets can be transferable, then I will make good use of them!

Too bad I don’t travel that much, if not I will get one of those credit cards too.
