Lots of bloggers and my friends and family have been asking me this question lately, is my hubby going to work in Bangkok?

Ok, the answer is “I’m NOT SURE”. He delayed his plan until no further notice. :P He still tied down with his work here, and won’t be leaving so soon. So, we are really happy that he’s not going away, for the time being. Both my kids are really attached to him now as they know that as long as daddy’s around, there will be lots of “gai gai” for them.

If he really leaves and works elsewhere, I guess I will have to get a web cam, or some other way of communication, like Ventrilo to ensure that all of us can stay connected. It’s really expensive to spend on oversea phone bills!

However, I wish that his plan won’t come through too soon. I hate to have a family in 2 different countries.

Seems like my uncle is still bothering my family. He can’t get any help from the bank due to his poor credit report score. He is very heavily in debt for some mortgages and credit cards, but to make things worse, he fails to pay them on time or lapse some of them.

I guess he is really in a lot of trouble now, but we had done our best in helping him in the past. We can be giving money to him like charity, unless my parents are millionaires, then they can be generous all the time. They have helped him a lot in the past, as every one refused to help him out, but only my dad.

I guess every one has a limit. He can’t just borrow for money without returning it whenever he has trouble. If he plans his financial wisely, and not racing for big condo and big cars as soon as his business got money, he won’t get himself into the same cycle over and over again.

I’m quite old fashion when it comes to respecting our parents. I think that by all means, we are children need to take care of our parents when they are old. I’m not staying with my parents, but I really hope that one day I might stay with them, somewhere near with my parents-in-laws too, if possible, so we can take good care of them when they are old.

If only they have critical health related problems, then only I will consider sending them to nursing homes as they have better medical stuffs and facility for the elderly. Long Island nursing home reviews provide lots of information and insights if you are looking for nursing homes.

There is a list of nursing homes listed online, and will be a good help to those who are looking for one in US. Even if it’s not applicable to us from other countries, but the guidebook will still be useful as reference when we are looking for nursing homes locally.

Last Saturday, we had a mini birthday party at home. It’s Xin Yi’s 7th birthday celebrated a day earlier. MIL and SIL bought lots of rubbish food fast food from KFC and McDonald’s for the kids, and my boy was so happy munching the fries!

Everyone couldn’t wait to get a piece of that cake!

Right after hubby finished his golf, we headed straight to Penang on Sunday afternoon. The kids were very excited as they haven’t been back since CNY as my parents were renovating the house. My mum was afraid that Isabelle will be attacked by mosquitoes again, so she changed all the flooring from brown to white tiles, both upstairs and downstairs. All the walls were painted white, and the place really looks bigger. Funnily, we hardly see any mosquitoes in the house, and even if there is, the mosquitoes will be killed easily! Probably due to the brightness of the house that the mosquitoes have limited spots to hide.

After meeting up with my brother’s family, we went to Golden Triangle for dinner.

After the dinner, hubby went to meet up with his friends while the rest of us went for kiddie ride at the supermarket near my parents’ place. My kids will always come here to play with the kiddie ride almost everyday when they are in Penang.

So, it’s Monday today, but we are still here. Needless to say, my boy skipped school. :P

Hubby and I wanted to bring the kids to the snake exhibition at Jusco, but we didn’t get there in time for the show, so maybe we will go again tomorrow.

As usual, Justin wanted to ride on the kiddy ride, but hubby only allowed him to ride once. Then we went to Popular for book shopping. Justin was so observant, he saw Barney flashcards as we were entering it, and wanted to buy that cards! I persuaded him for a while as the flashcards are really not that useful. I told him to find if there are any Barney books. Lucky him! He really found some, but again, hubby only allowed one. He doesn’t like to buy too many things for Justin at one one.

When I was browsing with Isabelle in my arms, she picked some books and flipped them too. I was worried that she might tear them, but she didn’t. Instead, after she flipped the books, she’d throw them on the floor! So, mommy was having a “good” time picking up and arranging them back!

Then we proceed to shopping for some household stuffs and food. As usual, Isabelle’s tired after 8.30pm, so we got to leave. When we were in the car and driving out from the car park, Justin was fussy.

Justin: Go Jusco lah, don’t go home.

Hubby: We had just gone to Jusco just now.

Justin: Go Jusco, go again. Don’t want go home. *Crying*

Hubby: Went already, now have to go home.

Me: Ok, dear, let’s stop the car and put Justin now. Justin, you go Jusco by yourself. Mommy, daddy and mei mei go home. Next time you bring your clothes and stay at Jusco ok?

Hubby: Ok, Justin stay at Jusco.

Justin: *Stop crying* Bye bye Jusco. Go home.

LOL! So funny lah, I really like my cheeky little toddler who’s learning to bargain and reason now.

Both my kids have dimples. Justin has it on his right cheek, while Isabelle has one on her left. They got this good gene from ME!!!

I have one dimple on my left cheek, and a small “li wo” on my right. As for hubby, he has 2 small “li wo” just near his lips.

So, we are one big DIMPLE family. :)

Since Justin’s starting preschool 4 days ago, I have a different morning. I need to get up earlier to get him ready and send him to school. He has started to tell me he wants to stay at home and doesn’t want to go. He cried when I was changing him, and refused to get in the car. But funnily, after a while he stopped and said he wanted to go. *scratch head* When we reached there, he cried when I left, but the teachers said he stopped once I left and he started playing.

I went there early to pick him up, and peeped at how he was doing yesterday. He was still having lunch when I was there, and he adapted himself really well. When we were on our way back, I asked him what he’s doing at home, he told him they played sand (they have sandpit), and toys. He told me what he were having at school, and when I asked if he cried? He said no. Really one big boy now…

When Justin’s at school, I have more time with Isabelle. I’ll play with her, and when she prefers to play by herself, I can go online. She will crawl to me sometimes, but now she really prefers to explore by herself. I just need to be watchful. She’s good at moving everything out from the drawers and racks, so more cleaning up to do! But she knows how to put the toys in the box, and I always clap my hands as encouragement whenever she does that, piece by piece. I realised that Isabelle and I have more quality together, even if it’s only for an hour and she’ll take her nap.

I begin to like my mornings. :)

When we were in Penang last week, we brought the kids to Halo Cafe for dinner. It’s their first trip there, and we were wondering if they would like the environment. There’s a local artist (not very famous one, :P) celebrating her birthday there, and she performed a few songs on stage. Both my kids enjoyed the performance, in fact, they were dancing and clapping too!

I wanted to stay back longer for the live band, but they only have it at 9pm, and it’s too late for my kids who were already tired and grumpy. See Isabelle’s “sour” face? She’s sleepy, and moody!

So, we will bring the kids here again next time, when they are older and can sleep late.

I talked to hubby about his plan to Bangkok while the kids and I move back to Penang. Seems like hubby is not going to Bangkok that soon as he’s having communication problem! He can’t speak Thai! He needs to take up some language course here first for the time being.

In that case, we won’t be moving back to Penang that soon. I’ll enrol Justin to a Montessori first, as he’s very eager to start pre-school. Gosh, I’ve stopped looking for school! I better speed things up a bit.

So, my business partners can be relieved a bit and stop worrying about buying my share. :)

We picked up hubby and BIL#4 from Penang Airport this morning. Justin was thrilled to see daddy, but Isabelle gave him a puzzled look. It looked as if she didn’t recognized daddy, even if he’s only away for 6 days!

I joked to hubby that if he extended his trip next time, she’ll call him uncle already! :P

We came back to Ipoh after packing up as I needed to bring Isabelle to her paed for a check up. I’ll post about this later as I’m in pain right now! Will also explain why I’m in pain….The pain killer is not working well yet!

I got to go numb myself with some paid posts! :P
