Anniversary

It’s our 12th anniversary, not ROM, or marriage, but counting from the day we started dating. Time flies!

Again, I won’t be getting any present from hubby who thinks that making money is more important than spending it. Blek…

Anyway, we are trying our best in getting our place here, so his reason is justified. Good for me too as I don’t have to crack my head looking for the perfect gift nor any travel gifts for men. Hubby is perfectly fine without getting any presents from me for donkey years. LOL!

Did I mention that my mom loves the condo and the house I’ve shortlisted? The only problem now is paying either one in CASH. :P

Any sponsor here? LOL!

Finding Fabulous Wedding Attire for Your Wedding

This sponsored post is written by Sado.

Having a memorable and wonderful wedding is the wish of every bride. New couples are always busy before their wedding. There are a lot of things they need to consider, like finding a wedding site, choosing wedding attire, preparing gifts, etc. Buying the wedding dress is always an exciting thing. If you want to get some useful tips on selecting your wedding gown and dresses for your wedding, please read this article on.

When buying the bridal gown for your special day, take your wedding venue and wedding theme into account. Think about whether you are going to have a beach wedding or church wedding. Generally speaking, outdoor ceremonies held on the beach or in the garden calls for casual wedding dresses. This type of gowns have simple designs and usually have short lengths, such tea length and knee length. For brides who are planning a formal wedding, for example, a ceremony held in the church, floor length gowns are popular choices to finish that elegant look. No matter what kind of dress you choose, make sure it compliments your wedding theme.

When buying a gorgeous wedding dress that flatters your figure, keep your body type in mind and find a fabulous style that can accent your best parts and hide your bad parts. Wedding dresses comes in many different designs to compliment different body shapes. For busty brides, v neck bridal gowns look very flattering on them. On the contrary, if you are a bride with small bust, stay away from dresses with v-shaped necklines, strapless gowns with empire waist are great choices to enhance your look. If you have good-looking butt and thighs, pick a mermaid wedding dress style. If you want to hide these parts, A-line wedding dresses will help you do the trick.

Pregnant brides today also can look their best on the wedding reception. Maternity wedding dresses are specially designed to accommodate beautiful pregnancy curves. These gowns help pregnant brides appear charming by showing their natural body curves. Most of them are made from high quality fabrics to ensure great comfort. Maternity wedding gowns can be found despite whatever your stage of pregnancy is. Pregnant brides today also can order their wedding gowns from the internet.

When buying dresses for your bridesmaids, bear in mind to choose styles that compliments your wedding dress. Besides, take the sizes of your bridesmaids into account when selecting a style or styles for them. The bridesmaid gowns you choose should make your bridesmaids feel comfortable and fit perfectly with your wedding. Online stores are great sources to find chic and comfortable bridesmaid dresses. Some of them are sold at less than $100.

Remember to choose suitable dresses for your flower girl. When buying such a dress, white color is always a popular option. Of course, other colors like ivory are also great if the color of the bride is not so fair. Comfort always comes at top priority when it comes to purchasing flower girl dresses. So bear in mind to choose dresses made from top quality materials. To complete the look your flower girl, it is a great idea to pick a headpiece and a pair of shoes for her.

Wedding Insurance

To me, planning for a wedding is a lot of work. That’s why we have wedding planners and it’s best to let the expert do all the job. I really admire those who can plan an oversea wedding, such as those held in Bali or some pretty island. I’m not sure if they did all the planning by themselves, but if it’s me, I will surely hire a wedding planner for it! That is too much work. :P

Nowadays, you can also get wedding insurance to further secure your wedding, just in case something goes wrong on your big day, and with a wedding insurance, maybe you will be compensated. Even overseas wedding insurance is available too.

I think getting a good photographer is the most important aspect in a wedding. I didn’t know much about this last time, so my wedding day photos are pretty boring. I can’t even remember the last time I saw that album! I hope that it’s still around in the our Ipoh house. LOL!

Still on Housekeeper Issue

As soon as hubby and I decided to fire the housekeeper, we have been discussing on how to settle our house cleaning issue. It might not be a big deal, but I prefer us to split up the chores and know how to work things out at home. I suggested that we get a part time housekeeper, at least once a week to do the major cleaning like cleaning the windows, balcony, scrubbing the toilets and etc.

I know that my neighbor is hiring one, and when I walked over to ask her more about it, hubby suddenly came to her house and said, “We are just asking, we will think about it and let you know.” O.o Apparently, my superman here wants to clean the house by himself, and he said let’s try and see how we can manage without a housekeeper. He said that it should be easy. But somehow, I can see myself cleaning the house like a mad lady every weekend and I will be very exhausted for any outing with the kids.

Furthermore, due to my experience of staying with the same guy for 10 years, I know his “housekeeping skills”. He might do the chores, but just for the sake of doing it. He will surely tell me that “no need to sweep and mop every day la, just do when it’s dirty.” And I tell you, he won’t even think the floor is dirty, even if it’s not mopped for 5 days (ya, my housekeeper skipped mopping the floor thinking that I won’t notice), and it’s still clean to him. How to “tahan” walking on sticky floor like that? Sure you will mop by yourself right? But I know my hubby well, he can’t mop the floor nicely!!!! That means it’s all going to BE MY RESPONSIBILITIES. But if I really want to ignore the dirty floor, I will just walk around in my Walking Boots and forget about my kids lying and playing on the floor. Argh!!!!

Anyway, since we told SIL that we are not satisfied with her maid and don’t want to hire her next month onwards, we can see a lot of improvement in the housekeeper. My house has been very clean for the past 3 days, and surprisingly, she comes everyday to do her job. I’m quite pleased with her changes, and last night, I asked her if she still wants to work for us. To me, everyone deserves a second chance, if she is interested to make that money. But she said she will think about it. I guess she knows well that it’s hard for her to maintain her “job performance” all the time, and she might want to do lesser job now. So, I won’t force her. At least we told her that she still has a second chance.

If she decides not to work, then you might see more rants here on this blog. :P

Jewelry

I like jewelry, but I hardly wear any. I have a few accidents of scratching my kids’ with my rings and bracelets, so I seldom wear them on normal days. Most of the jewelry is kept in the safe deposit box at the bank back home. And I wonder if hubby remembers to pay for the coming deposit fee as it’s due in December!

Hubby doesn’t know much about giving me gifts so he would rather play safe by giving me jewelry. LOL! I’m not sure if he choose the designs by himself, or just ask the help from holsted jewelers. Anyway, I don’t mind much about the designs as long as he gives me something on special days. LOL!

It’s Our Anniversary…But..

I was out for long hours yesterday over some personal issue, so I had so much to do today. It’s a busy morning for me as hubby was out to visit some customers while I had to prepare some documents. There was so much to be done! And as I was busy typing, I checked on the calendar to verify today’s date. It’s 9th September. Wow, what a nice date, I told myself. Then I got busy typing…and typing… and typing… and chatting…

And suddenly, I remembered!!! Today is our anniversary! Hubby and I got registered on 9th September 2003, I think. Gosh, I’m so lame at remembering dates.

Sh*t, I can’t remember it…

Double sh*t, he can’t remember it…

Triple sh*t, I didn’t prepare anything for him…

More sh*ts, he didn’t buy me pressie or wish me Happy Anniversary!!!

OMG!!!

One blur man

+

One forgetful wife

=

One super-blur-and-forgetful couple who can’t remember their anniversary!

Pss….I smsed him and he replied that he had just remembered our anniversary by noon, at about the same time I did. At least we can still remember by today. LOL!

10 Years Next Year

Hubby and I have been together for 9 years now and we supposed to go to Hawaii on our 10 years anniversary. He promised me a nice trip to Hawaii when we were dating, but he only remembered this last year after a “friendly” reminder from me. :P

I know that he’s working hard for a better future by moving to Bangkok, and we need a lot of money for this plan. I don’t think we have the budget for a fancy honeymoon in the near future, so I can forget about the trip to Hawaii now. Hubby never mentioned anything about it either, maybe he’s forgotten about it again or he’s pretending that the promise never exists?

Anyway, I don’t really mind if we can’t make it next year as long as he gives me a unique anniversary gift. It doesn’t have to be something expensive, but please don’t give me flowers anymore. I have had enough of flowers every Valentine’s Day, and I hope to receive something like shares of stocks that will bring me lots of money in the future other than flowers!

If you are wondering if I’m preparing anything for him, yes I am. I am knitting a vest for him, but due to the numerous knitting projects for my kids, I keep putting the vest aside. However, I made up my mind of not buying any yarn balls until I’ve completed his vest. That sounds fair enough huh?

Flowers or Not?

I love flowers, that’s why hubby keeps sending me flowers on special days. However, he’s also using it as an excuse of not buying other gifts because it’s not hard to get flowers anywhere. Maybe he doesn’t need to impress me with 999 stalks of roses to me, so it has never crossed his mind to buy wholesale roses before.

Frankly, the bouquet of roses he got me on Valentine’s Day is rotting somewhere in the house. It’s a waste but it’s better than not getting anything on special days. Besides that, I have had enough of perfumes too! So dear, keep sending the flowers, but make sure there are other gifts attached to them. :P

Wedding Website

I have to start getting back to knitting again because I want my kids to have new knit wears for a wedding dinner in March. Our neighbor is getting married and she’s going to have her wedding at the hotel. She gathered lots of Wedding Ideas and wedding resources from searching for them on the internet. She even told me that there’s a website for Malaysian Brides!

Maybe the website was not available at time I planned for my wedding. Anyway, no one wants a second wedding, so I don’t have to check out the information anymore! But if you are planning for yours, check out the website, ok?

Is Yearly Honeymoon Possible

After the trip to Langkawi, hubby and I plan to have a honeymoon trip once a year if possible. I have a few places in mind like Hawaii, Europe, Nepal or New Zealand, but maybe we should just try something romantic at one of those all inclusive Cancun Vacations. Both of us haven’t been to Mexico, so it’s going to be an exciting experience for us.

I like sunbathing and my ideal vacation is doing nothing but lying in the sun. Of course, it would be nice to do some shopping, so I wonder what’s nice in Cancun? I will find out more about this next time when we are planning for a trip. For the time being, all I have in my mind is Bangkok!
