Our home is more like a hostel and a kitchen to us. We only spend time in it in the late evening and leave the house as soon as we get ready in the morning. We hardly stay at home on Sundays because I didn’t want to cook we want to bring the kids around.

Today, I stay at home with the kids. We are asked not to bring the kids to the office because they are moving to the new office floor and it’s going to be dusty and busy for everyone. It’s best that my kids stay at home watching Tom and Jerry over and over again. LOL!

It’s kind of nice staying in the house to be lazy for a day. Of course, the kitchen is still as busy as ever because hubby prefers home cook meals and my kids “order” this and that. :P The cook aka me cannot rest on Saturdays!

But thank god I can “sneak out” blogging for a while. I almost can’t remember that I used to be a stay at home mother for so long. However, I haven’t watched the idiot box yet. We can only use the internet connection or the satellite TV since it belongs to the same system. Funny wan, even HDMI splitter won’t work for the line.

But once I have more time at home, I will watch the Thai series. That should be an easier way to learn Thai.

I can’t give my kids full attention all the time. Sometimes, I really hope that they have grown older and can be more independent. But when I see how good they are trying to do their stuffs and give me a few minutes of “freedom from motherhood”, I felt so blessed having them as my kids…

Scribbling on the office floor…

I can do this by myself…

They have changed a bit since we moved here. They are not only more independent now, but they are so understanding. They know that papa and mommy are busy sometimes, but that doesn’t mean that we are “ignoring” them.

Kids, papa and mommy are proud of you. You kids are the greatest. :)

As I mentioned before, my kids will either glue to me at the office or mess around disturbing other office staffs. We’ve tried reading, writing with Justin, and also let them learn with Starfall with our laptops. But like most kids, it will be a miracle if they can “sit still” for 15 minutes. Thus, food bribery comes in now.

I know it’s bad to feed them junks, but as you know, junks are pretty common in the office. If we don’t buy any, BIL will also get some. The worst is hubby. He cannot survive without his junkie booster in the afternoon. He will fall asleep without biting those junks!

But I still want to control their junkie intake, thus they can only have a certain amount a day. Both Justin and Isabelle are pretty obedient so far, and they will even hold their junks in their hands and wait for my instruction to eat. LOL!

Mommy said can only eat after my nap

When they are eating, we will have a few minutes of quiet time and it’s best to get things done!

Besides that, they have a playmate at the office too. It’s not their 5-month-old cousin, but a turtle. The turtle was placed there for feng shui purpose, but my kids treat it like a pet.

There goes my afternoon nap…these kids just won’t leave me alone!

Having afternoon tea (fruits) with “their” turtle

I play with you ok?

Other than them taking their 2 hours nap, I’m glad that we have something to keep them occupied. At least hubby can work without disturbance and the office is QUIET!

Edited:

Bad news, my kids can’t play with the turtle anymore. It has feng shui purpose so it cannot “leave” its place. Besides that, Thai people believe that we can’t play with turtles, not good wan woh…

Aiyo, mommy has to think of something liao…

This morning, my SIL said I looked like a supermom. LOL! I laughed like hell as this “title” is too big for my head. :P

I am busier than I used to be in Ipoh, but I didn’t do a good job for the first 2 days. I rant about my kids, I was easily frustrated and I yelled like a freaking mother in the car and scared the hell of my children. I was not ME at all. Gosh, I felt so bad thinking about what I did.

But for the past few days, I felt better and can even sleep until 7am or later. My cooking speed is faster and I plan the meals a day ahead. I manage get things ready faster than I thought and I can even knit while watching series at night!!! Shiok man…Ya, I got more efficient now.

However, there’s another thing to settle….I can’t seem to do a lot at the office because my kids stick to me like glue. They want me to play, read, feed, clean their butts and etc. You know? Those things mothers, maids, nannies and etc do at home? But the location changed!

In conclusion, that’s the thing I’m working on now…..juggling office life and my kids!

Maybe things will get better when the new office floor is ready. My kids will have a room for themselves, and we will get kiddie tables and chairs for them. Of course, there will be lots of toys and books and they can have a bigger mattress for afternoon nap. When they are ready, we will enroll them into a Thai preschool, and they will only be back to the office after 2.

Mmm….hopefully, our plan works well.

I think I cook all day. LOL! In the morning, it’s about fixing my kids’ lunch to be taken to the office. Then once we reach home from work, it’s preparing dinner in turbo speed again. Before I go to bed, I might defrost some meat or prepare the porridge with slow cooker. Sipeh busy in the kitchen only. LOL!

But by the end of the day, I get my little reward from Justin who will say this…

Mommy, thanks for cooking for me and mei mei.

Enough liao. That’s good enough to be so busy in the kitchen.

I am really stressed out. I yell more often than usual, especially at the office. My kids are driving me nuts even if I have been telling them not to be too noisy and mess things around. But still, they are doing so!

Then again, I realized that they are having a hard time getting used to the new house, new language, new lives, new routine and they don’t even have their kids room at the office yet. It’s still under renovation, so they couldn’t take naps for days. We were pretty busy bring them around everywhere we went so they couldn’t get a proper meal or rest sometimes.

But this morning, I woke up at 5.30am. I prepared fish and carrot porridge for them as lunch, and I prepared some dishes for dinner. At least I don’t have to rush at 7pm and trying to get dinner ready in less than an hour. Can siao wan la….

They have been behaving well today. They took lunch, snack, did their work and even took a nap.

Sorry ya kids? Mummy really doesn’t have much patience lately, but I will change ok?

I got fever 2 days ago, but it subsided now. Besides flu and coughing, I’m doing fine. But last night, Justin started to have fever. He must have got it from me or his cousin who fell sick too a day ago. He had a restless night and so I got up to check his body. He was very hot, and refused to let me measure his temperature accurately. It’s definitely more than 38 deg as that’s the only reading I could get from a wriggling kid.

We fed him paracetamol and put him to sleep again. At 8am, we woke him up and got him ready for school. He had his first exam this morning, so he couldn’t miss it. We told the teacher that we would pink him up after the papers and she couldn’t tell us exactly when would the written and oral tests be done. When I went to school to pick him up, the teacher said they hadn’t done the oral test but I fetched him back. He’s having a temperature again and he’s looking pale. Sigh…poor thing…

Luckily, his temperature went off after taking a shower. But this time, I noticed that Isabelle was having a fever. Gosh, both of them have fever now! So, I have 2 cranky kids who are demanding a lot, and not to mention, they are super clingy to mommy. Sigh…

Anyway, I just hope that they will get well soon.

I’m sick. Down with flu again, but this time, I am taking my pills. I don’t want to have an ear infection again!

However, I love how I spent today. I know hubby is pretty busy at his office, so I told myself not to rest until the kids are sleeping. They need me now since we didn’t spend time for 2 weeks.

When Justin’s away at school, I spent the morning with Isabelle. She played with her cousins first, and then she came to me. Like last night, she was keen to play with her toys.

Feeding her baby and horses. She said they were hungry.

When Justin’s back from school, we spent the whole afternoon together. He did his Pooh Bear thumbtack art for a while when Isabelle’s napping. Of course, when both of them were sleeping, I had some time for blogging! :)

The evening was the best. My kids played outside even if it’s really sunny at 5.30pm but they were eager to go out.

It’s play time.

It’s nice to be home!

And I found something great today! Isabelle can pedal already!!! Yippie!!! However, my excitement ended in less than 5 minutes because she was tired of cycling on the tricycle and she wanted to be carried by me.

Isabelle can cycle liao!

I’ve been carrying her since yesterday. I know that she still needs more time to get adjusted with mommy is back and not going away soon. She’s sleeping on my tummy again, just to feel safe and closer to me.

As for Justin, his exam starts on Friday. I don’t know if he knows what’s going on, but I didn’t revise with him today. I thought of letting him have fun and maybe we will just revise tomorrow if his teacher returns the books. If not, mmm…., I will just play some games with him as revision then.

I don’t know what is exam la, I just want to jump over this drain over and over again now…

I’m not expecting him to score with flying colors. As long as he is happy about his “homework” (I told him teacher will give him homework at school just to see if he knows how to do), it’s good enough.

I was so worried when my mother told me that Justin was down with fever days ago. He had some rashes on the feet and palms, so I asked my parents to bring him to the paediatrician and ruled out that it’s not HRM disease. Thank god it’s only heat rash and he’s feeling better now.
Being away from my sick kid makes me worry more than taking care of him there. I think we really have to bring the kids here on our next trip. It’s not like my parents are not taking good care of them, but I miss them a lot and I worry more being away from my kids. Funny or not?

We will only be around for another week, and then we will fly back to get my kids. Justin has to sit for exams next week, and I really wonder how is he going to do the papers? LOL! He’s only 3 years old, but he has exams as his class is meant for 4-year-old kids. Don’t care la, can do then do, if not also no big deal. Both my kids will be studying in international school later, so I think they won’t have much pressure in studies as comparing to the schools in Malaysia.

We’ve just talked to the kids via webcam, and I found that Isabelle is a bit thinner now. Funny, I thought she will look fatter after all the food my parents spoil her with. LOL!

Anyway, as long as they are doing find and happy staying with gong gong and po po, I’m more than glad.

My kids are used to seeing me holding a camera and taking their photos as much as I can. But sometimes, they will protest and refuse to be shot.

Isabelle will only turn to her back and won’t let me snap her face. She seldom does this though.

No camera, mommy…

If she refuses to take a photo, she might do some silly facial expressions like this…

You can’t snap me smiling :P

See? So cheeky huh? She’s a playful little girl mah…

But Justin might tell me firmly that he doesn’t want to be snapped. If I still bring out the camera, he will protest by pretending to shoot it down.

Luckily, it’s just a water gun and I won’t get hurt. LOL! If not, hubby will have to pay for rhinoplasty San Diego if I lost my nose.

Shoot shoot mommy…

But the other day, I managed to snap a photo of him showing that he’s totally annoyed.

IMG_3533
What la, still snapping?

See? He looked so angry huh? LOL! But I don’t care, I like snapping photos of their different expressions. But of course, I can’t do this all the time, have to take care of their feelings now. Kids are not like babies loh, they know how to express themselves better now.
