Bikers

I don’t fancy big bikes but I know that most guys do. They would buy a bike as expensive as a car, install some zero gravity windscreens, change some parts of the bike and go biking in a gang. I’m not taking about young men, but old men as well!

Some time ago, I saw a gang of bikers, aged over 60 by estimation, stopping by the rest stop of the highway.  I salute these uncles. By that age, I prefer to be chauffeured around. :P

Angpao?

I have just remembered that we haven’t changed notes for angpao! I bet hubby can’t even remember about packing angpao too!

But then again, we won’t need a lot as hubby’s family members are flying over here again this year, we are only celebrating among ourselves. Instead of going to resorts like previous years, we don’t have any plan this year. LOL! Shall we just rot at home watching TV, playing gadgets and eating junks? :P

I’ve done CNY shopping only for clothes but not the rest. The condo is not ready, so I’m out of storage space. I shall make good use of the red envelope coupon codes once the condo is ready, but by then, it’s already CNY!

Happy New Year 2012

10 days into Year 2012, and so far so good. The condo is still not yet completed but we are doing fine. In fact, I can’t be bothered much about it but try to get things organized in the house. Kids are doing well with school but complained that the playground is not ready. :P

Work wise, hubby is as busy as ever and he can’t do much ironing lately!!! I’m taking turns with him, and oh boy, why do we have so much clothes piling up still?

Anyway, CNY is just around the corner and it’s time to get all festive and ready for our guests. Yeap, we are celebrating our CNY in BKK again for the 4th time! I’m yet to get new clothes for hubby and I, and there isn’t any festive goodies in our condo yet. :P Kitchen not ready la, dunno where to store the food. I must use the finish line coupons and Tesco vouchers before they expired!

Business is still pretty slow after the flood as everyone is still recovering from it. It’s going to be a tough year but hopefully, the dragon year will be a good one for all of us.

Happy New Year!3

Condo is not ready for Christmas

The kids are coming back and sadly the condo is not ready yet. We almost couldn’t get the mattresses as a lot of people are doing their post flood shopping and goods are queued for delivery. Luckily, the mattresses will arrive on the day the kids are coming home! Furniture will be in on Christmas day, so I can forget about setting up the tree this year. Fridge and washing machine will come on the day before we leave to Chiangmai. Wah lao leh…really packed schedule!

Flooring is being done these 2 days, so I haven’t checked the progress. Painting is still on hold and I haven’t see my newly reordered kitchen top yet! I do deserve a nice stay at st lucia resort after everything is over. Super stressed.

Pissed

As the clock is ticking and the flood hasn’t receded in Pathum Thani, I’m really running out of patience. I need my work permit to renew my visa and driving license, and without a visa, I will have to leave Thailand. :( Super duper frustrated that I couldn’t go to the labor office that day to pick it up because EVERYONE was expecting me to WATCH THE KIDS. Hey, why is it my matter is LESS IMPORTANT than yous? Damn it.

As much as I can leave Thailand and redo every paper all over again, it’s sipeh mah fan you know? Hate it.

I don’t care la, next time, no matter what happens, my priority come first. I don’t care about other peoples’ biz or jobs if they are more important than mine. Can’t always sacrifice my NEEDS now.

Someone suggested that I bribe. Do you think it’s that easy? It takes more than St. Paul flower delivery and $$$ to get things done you know?

We are safe

We are kiasi. As soon as I saw the tweet about evacuation, I quickly rushed hubby and the kids to get ready to leave. We were waiting for the kids for their Chinese class, and we were supposed to have dinner out.

But on the safe side, I just let the kids have some bread while we rushed home to grab the bags and documents. Then, our neighbor came to help us move the fridge upstairs, and we made sure that all sockets, except the fridge was unplugged. There are cases where flood victims were electrocuted in their home, so no play play.

We are staying with FIL for the moment, and as soon as our condo is ready, I guess we will move in for awhile. Or maybe move our things in. It will speed up our moving process.

Some updates said the evacuation is not necessary, and had caused panic. But honestly, the water is not too far away, just about 1.5km. With the embankment and sandbag walls collapsing a couple of times, it’s best to stay safe than sorry.

Today, I’m still at work. Still have a lot to do, especially in getting my work permit renewal. Visa can wait, and so is driving license. After that, I can smoke Rocky Patel cigars in my new balcony and relax. Just kidding la, I don’t smoke.

Flood

We are under a lot of stress! Everyday, hubby and I will check on the flood updates, and see if we need to cabut to the condo, which is obviously not ready!!! Of course, we have other plans, like moving in with FIL, if needed, or just check into a hotel for a couple of days. It’s not that bad as long as we are packed and important stuffs have moved to second floor.

I still go to the office, but later as kids can’t wake up early. No more yoga as hubby is worried that area is already flooded, so better don’t take the risk.

I can’t go back as my work permit is expired next week, so I have to stay here and renew it. My staff is good at preparing the documents, but maybe she might leave out some and need to resubmit again. Anyway, I must say that I’m lucky enough to have a few good workers, even if they are not perfect, but things are done still. My admin can even go out and settle things on her own, buying laserjet ink cartridges, paying tax, buying office essentials without the need of me asking her to. As long as she lets me know in advance that she’s going out to run some errands, I will allow it. It saves me a lot of time from running around now.

If things get really bad, then I won’t come to work. Luckily it’s school holiday and the kids are with me most of the time.

Weird Ads

I saw a weird ads on the newspapers yesterday, someone is looking for an egg donor. Not that chicken egg ok? It’s an ovum. :P

I hardly pay attention to those classified ads on papers, as you know, they are mostly about jobs, tours, insurance, or property on sales, so there won’t be anything much concerning me. But that ads really caught my attention!!!

The price is pretty attractive, the chosen one will be given THB 1 million. It’s a lot of money for an egg!!! But you must be below 30, with IQ140 and must be Chinese or Caucasian. I bet he’s looking for a pretty woman with brain, but then again, why must he look for a donor instead of chasing one? Unless he’s married and the wife is…. :P

Boh eng

Oh boy, the renovation is more major that we thought. Hubby and I went to check out the unit a couple of days ago and the whole place is like…. debris here and there, dusty, dirty, and I didn’t know it’s so hard to even break down half of the bathroom wall!!! Let alone the bigger connecting wall between the 2 units. OMG…

So, renovation will be slower than anticipated. :P I stopped buying anything in the mean time, except booking for furniture. Anything else can wait until the whole place is ready. However, I will have another month to throw out unwanted stuffs, especially those junks in the storeroom. No idea why we have so many rubbish like cord cover. chargers, toys and etc piling up over 3 years!

Next will be looking for carton boxes and start packing. Oh boy…really boh eng…

Overflow

September will be a busy month for us. Firstly, the renovation started. Call me superstitious but we really wanted to wait until the 7th lunar month is over before renovating the condos. It’s a BIG MESS inside!!! Debris, dust, mold, in short, you don’t wanna be in there.

Then, it’s also the month to pay school fees for the next term. Another burn-the-wallet issue to be settled in September. :P

And my supplier is asking us to go to Japan for a training in February, and I’m not sure how we are going to manage it. Hubby said go with the kids. O.o Hello, like that how I attend training???

Then another email came that the marketing team will fly here from Japan for a SEA visit. Jialat, I will have to entertain a group of “nap pun lou” for a week. My routine will definitely be all screwed up and I can’t leave them to my sales, who can’t speak much English. And them who can’t speak much English too. Faint…I should go pick up some Japs now ah??? Boh eng you know???

On top of that, yours truly has finally started to pick up yoga again…. THIS MORNING!!! My legs are breaking, my tummy is sore, and my head is probably overflow with blood that I look so pinkish now. LOL! My muscles had just got a shock after not working out for more than 3 years. Probably need to change into hospital scrubs if I do the exercise a little longer. Luckily, it’s only 1.5 hour and I could still manage it.

I lost most of my flexibility though but that can be worked out. Hopefully, I can make it to the class at least 3 times a week.

So, can my life be anymore busier than this in September?
