Something is wrong with the post I did last night. I can’t seem to submit the link, so after trying for awhile, I decided to let it rot. Thank god it’s not a review with big big money, itu duit kacang putih cannot even buy me any personalized baby gifts ok? So no point wasting my time on it.

As the result, the post was removed. No free links in my blogs la…*evil*

I noticed that I have a post with the same title months ago. LOL! But I will still use the same title now.

My dad called, I know, the news sound worrying. But we are fine here. I will keep everyone updated if anything happens, which I hope nothing will. We are just expats in Bangkok, and there is nothing we can do except staying away from the hot spots. Of course, with Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueng Airport both seized, we can’t fly anywhere, and so does everyone else.

Situation at Suvarnabhumi Airport, photo taken from Nation Multimedia

The locals around me don’t seem affected much, everyone sabai sabai only. SIL said when the military took over a few years ago, the situation was not as bad as broadcasted. They even went out to the streets and took photos with the soldiers and tankers. *slap head* I’m not sure what will happen next but we are following the news online closely.

Right now, both kids are at school, clueless of the outside world. Hubby is out visiting the customers and me, typing something for him but pause for awhile to update my blog. I have been thinking if I should write a post all morning as I know that my loved ones are worrying and keen to know more from my blog.

So, again, we are fine. For now la…

Everyone is talking about Suvarnabhumi Airport seized since last night, and I found out about this from the latest news online. When I told hubby about it, he was surprised and thought I was joking. Seriously, do they have to go to that extend of damaging the country’s image further? Do they realize how important tourism is to the economy of Thailand?

I wonder how long will the airport be closed, but I do hope that it will be back to normal soon. I have a trip to Chiangmai and we need to land at Suvarnabhumi Airport! I know that it’s a selfish thought, but if you have a vacation plan that involves the planes, aren’t you worried if the vacation plan can still be carried out?

Anyway, I really no eye see the political scenes in Thailand. The local people have various views and speculations, and I don’t want to blog about it. No point getting my blog into any trouble!

So, in the mean time, we shall continue our daily lives as normal as possible, and work hard on our biz. The kids still go to school as normal, and they won’t be affected at all. If the chaos continue, we will just stay at home and keep them busy with toys, books, going to the playground for a catching game with their Baseball Gloves or swimming, if the water is not too cold.

In short, life goes on.

I think I better make a trip to the dentist soon, and at first, I thought of doing so this afternoon, before picking up my kids from school. Mana tau, hubby dropped me some jobs and I have to get them done by today. I need to go to a few places too, and I’m not sure if I have any spare time to visit a dentist today. Funnily, it’s not as painful as yesterday, unless I chew on my right side. Maybe the tooth doesn’t have to be extracted? I can’t be sure about it until I get the x-ray result and dentist’s suggestion.

Let’s see if I can finish my work faster today first…Gee…have to pergi sini pergi sana leh…Sien

Ya, I’m teething. You didn’t read it wrongly. My wisdom tooth is coming out and it’s bothering me to the max! It’s painful, and I think it’s protruding towards my last molar because it’s out of space.

I had one of the wisdom tooth removed a few years ago, and even if it’s a small procedure, it’s pretty scary to me. I saw how it’s being extracted, like incising my gum, “grinding and drilling or hammering” (whatever the term is) to break the tooth into smaller pieces before pulling them out. I tell you, when I saw the whole process from the reflection of the light above, I almost pengsan. Did I mention that I couldn’t drink water as the water came out from my mouth a few hours after anesthetization? And I couldnt’ eat for the first few days except “tasting” my own blood? No need to take Anoretix also can lose weight ok? Gosh, why am I going through this again?

The previous x-ray showed that I should remove both wisdom teeth at that time, but after removing one, I kiasi liao. I told the dentist to leave it alone until it’s painful. Manatau, it’s painful now!!! So, I am easily irritated, and I can’t enjoy food. How ah? Go to the dentist here in Bangkok? Kiasi la…

We arrived safely in Bangkok last night, and the first thing I noticed as I was walking out from the airport is….it’s colder now! It’s winter in Bangkok, and I like it! It won’t be as cold as other winter countries, but at least I can enjoy some sunshine and cool breeze.

My kids went to school this morning. As usual, Justin is always excited about going to school, but Isabelle showed me the grumpy look. Maybe she needs more time to get used to our normal routine after 2 weeks of holiday. I noticed that most kids are dressed in thicker clothing at school today, except my little Isabelle. :P I should have pack their jackets too, but I thought it’s not that cold. So, I better remember to pack for them next week, just in case they need it.

As for work, hubby is busy since the moment he stepped into the office. I’m still ok, no job order from him. LOL! But I have a few cari makan posts screaming at the corner, and I better gao tim them soon. If there is not much to do for hubby, I have to do some grocery shopping. Justin told me this morning, “Mommy, our fridge has nothing much to eat already.” Ya, I know boy, it’s almost empty! Now you know why I can’t take any Dallas jobs or working for others? I really cannot sit in the office for long hours. Can die wan…have to go shopping. LOL!

On top of that, since the weather is so nice at least for the next 2 months, it’s a great time to visit Bangkok. (I’m aware of the bombing warning ok? But I’m talking about the nice weather.) We are expecting hubby’s cousins next week, and I’ve lost track of those who will visit. LOL!

But for December, we will be going on 3 short trips, all within Thailand. It’s nice to go on holiday on this nice weather.

Hubby and I have a mutual friend who stays in Finland, and maybe he’s smiling while he’s reading this post! LOL! Actually, he supposed to visit us next month, but his trip was postponed to January. Hopefully, he will be able to pay us a visit before flying off to Finland again. We only get to meet once a year, and it has always been fun to see him coming home for Chinese New Year.

A few years ago, I joked that we might visit him in Finland, but he laughed at my silly idea. He said that the flight tickets are very expensive, and there is nothing much to see except icy lake and snow. Besides that, it’s almost total darkness during winter, so one can easily have depression. :P

But he’s adapting to the life in Finland well. He even enjoys winter fishing, which I know nothing about. Maybe he should get a hot water bottle along with him when he’s fishing so that he can enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee when needed. Gee, I really can’t see any excitement in winter fishing! I will probably be sitting there, shivering and yawning, and sipping hot coffee away. That reminds me to get another hot water bottle for myself too! What else can I do in the dark when waiting for a fish to come to the bait?

Thus, he better fly to Bangkok on his way back to Finland. My kids are still waiting for their Christmas gifts from Uncle Chan!

We are back in Ipoh for a few days, but I have been very lazy to update my blogs, unless it’s necessary. My kids are having a good time with their cousins, and they hardly look for mommy. :P Hubby is back to Bangkok to renew his working permit this morning, but he will fly back tonight and spend a few days in KL for his training. So, we will meet up with him at the airport on the day we leave. Hopefully, he will arrive at LCCT earlier than me because I definitely cannot handle both my kids and 2 big luggage bags all on my own! Should I give him one of those Oceanus watches to remind him of being timely? :P Both hubby and I don’t wear watches, you know? LOL!

It’s nice to be back in Ipoh, but I don’t go for food attack anymore. I’ve overeaten in Penang, and a bit “chai chai dei” to feast around. I spend most of my time knitting and crocheting here, and in fact, I’ve started a few more projects. I better update my knitting blog before it rots again. LOL!

As much as I wanted to stay away from blogging, but I’m really angry right now that I have to release my thoughts here. As I’m typing this very moment, there are about 10 men holding wooden sticks or parang and torch lights in front of my opposite neighbor’s house and at his back lane. Someone broke into his house. There are 3 men hidden in the top ceiling, and they entered from the roof. For the past week, 3 houses were broken into, but not all lost their belongings as they had fixed the locks at the “exit” at the bathroom ceiling on the top floor. We did that too, so at least my parents’ place is more secured.

30 minutes ago, I made a phone call to 999. I was asked about the reason I called, my address and my name. Ok, I gave the receptionist (or is it a policewoman?) and she transfered my call to the nearest police station in my area. I gave the same piece of information again and I stressed out that THE INTRUDERS ARE STILL IN THE HOUSE! But what do you know? They asked for contact number, so I gave mine. I said it’s my opposite neighbor’s house, just come now.

But still, there was no sign of any policeman. I made another call 15 minutes later, and did the whole cycle again. I heard some Malay songs playing in the background, wah, so relax working there ah? When my call was transfered, ya again, I gave the same information again. This time, the officer asked for my neighbor’s number. I told him HE IS TOO BUSY WAITING FOR THE INTRUDERS TO COME OUT SO THAT HE CAN CATCH THEM, he’s not available to my phone now. You know what the office did? HE SLAMMED MY PHONE. D*mn it. I’m so angry. Where are the police when they are supposed to help us?

It’s like one hour after my calls and there is still no sign of any policeman. You say I lagi angry or not? I may be able to sleep tonight, but I know that my neighbors, the 3 men and 2 women staying in the house won’t be able to close their eyes. They even heard footsteps in the ceiling. Can you imagine that? Isn’t it scary?

So, if your house is broken into, you will have to make the call by yourself and give your number, then only will the police come izzit? The helpful neighbors cannot do anything izzit? Cannot even make phone calls izzit? My neighbor is too busy worrying about their safety, so why can’t someone help them to call?

Now I truly understand why most people won’t call the police when they need help. It’s wasting my time and my mum’s phone bill only.

BTW, still no sign of any police as I’m publishing this post. Ptui…

Edited: 2 minutes ago, the policemen came, with guns (Justin said wan, he related everything to me). Finally!!! They couldn’t find anything. Ya loh, people cabut loh.

We are going back to Malaysia this weekend, so I might not be posting as much as usual. I don’t think I have any internet connection back home anymore, unless my neighbors are generous with their wireless!

Anyway, I won’t be going out unless hubby is around. My ex-maid no longer takes care of my children so I will have to watch them by myself. Hubby still has to work on his previous biz as there are some debt collection to do. He should have hired some Debt Collection companies to do the job for him, but maybe he prefers to do this on his own. Besides that, I don’t have a car anymore, so it’s going to be very inconvenient for me to go out. I guess I will be spending more time at home, and only go out when hubby is available.

My children are happy to know that they are seeing their grandparents and cousins again. They miss them a lot. Even if they enjoy Bangkok, but they are missing those fun days they had in Penang and Ipoh. So, I will let the grandparents spoil my kids for awhile, and let them have lots of fun playing with their cousins. Hopefully, the cousins are not busy by the next 2 weeks. Is school exam over already? I’m not sure when is the school holiday in Malaysia…

So, see you guys back home.
