We arrived late last night. This is the first time we had so many luggage and hand carry bags when traveling! Thank god most of the passengers were so helpful in helping us with our bags and our kids. We took the night flight, so Justin and Isabelle felt asleep after taking their milk on the plane. It’s a bit hard to bring both of them down since we had to carry some bags, but we got lots of help. I’m so grateful with all those strangers which I met for the very first time.
The kids are doing fine in Bangkok home even if Isabelle woke up feeling blur with where she was. LOL! The kids will take some time to get used to our new life so they won’t be going to school until another one or 2. Justin will continue to learn from home schooling while Isabelle, being her own self, just have to play all day.
I will update more about them later. For the time being, we are pretty busy unpacking and keeping the kids from climbing up one of the glass coffee tables. If it’s not being left behind by the house owner, I really want to throw that glass table away!

Ok, the day has finally come. We will relocate to Bangkok officially tomorrow, but we will still be back occasionally until everything stables down. My kids are pretty excited about it because we will be taking the coach to the airport. They have always prefer buses from cars. LOL!
I’ve overloaded the 60kg weight, so I left some of our stuffs behind. Did I mention that I’ve sent 8 boxes to Bangkok?
I guess my SIL will have to wait for another round if she still wants those baby clothes, baby bedding and kiddy toys. If not I will just ask my maid to donate them somewhere….
In short, it’s a new beginning to us and wish us luck!

We have to bring some documents over to Bangkok, so I better remember to do so before the day we leave. We need to get Justin report card from the school too because it’s needed for his assessment into the new school later. I hope that he will do well in the questioning session and will be placed in a class that suits his level. For Thai language, he will have to start from zero. Hopefully he can pick up well as he’s at least 2 months behind the school term now.
I’m not worrying much about Isabelle. She has always been a flexible kid and she should be able to pick up the language easily since she’s learning like a sponge now. She has started reasoning to us, but she still can’t speak well in proper sentences. It’s fun to see how she’s trying to express herself by joining up more and more words.
Besides that, we still have things to settle in Bangkok like getting a car and maybe a family health insurance. All our plans are not working anymore if we relocate to Bangkok. Jialat. It’s time to talk to my brother to know more about insurance…

I know, I have been packing for so long but I still have a lot to do today. This might be the last packing up before we fly to Bangkok later as I’ve completed most of our stuffs.

This time, my kids helped out. They were asked to sort out their books and toys which are important to them so that I didn’t miss anything or over pack. However, when I asked Justin and Isabelle to pack their most precious things, they could only fill up one plastic bag each and left everything behind. LOL! Justin packed his farm animal set while Isabelle got her baby doll which I knitted and some “stuffs”, which I’m not sure what they are anymore.

Packing up…and Isabelle refused to face the camera.
Anyway, we managed to pack 6 boxes today. What an achievement huh?

Hubby is not around, so I’m not sure what he’s going to pack. Maybe we will end up with 7 boxes and 4 luggages. And what about the car seats and strollers? Gosh, I still have things to pack!!!

We bought the flight tickets online this morning, so we are flying off to Bangkok in 3 weeks, officially. This is a one way ticket and we are not sure when will we be back here again. The kids will start going to school after settling down for the first month, so I guess we will have to wait for their school break. Besides that, hubby will be busy at work, so it’s not easy to come back as often as before.
I will have to start packing again, and this time, we need to move most of the books and toys over. On top of that, we still have lots of clothes here, so I will also send them over with a mover. I think I better label the boxes well so that I won’t get confused with the unpacking process later. I’m going to be so busy again!
The house is almost completed there, but there are still some things to buy. I wonder if we need an ademco home security system too, but hubby said that it’s a gated community, so it should be safer. We didn’t install all the air-conditioners yet, so we will do so once we move over. Gee….I really hate to clean up the mess again. But what to do? Without air-con, we will be roasted in the hot weather.
I have 3 more weeks only, so I better get more boxes now.

I’ve been corresponding with my webmaster about how to set up our company’s website, but we haven’t made up our minds if we should host the website with him yet. I’m satisfied with his service all the while, but for this website, I would like to check out other options available first.
There are ways to determine if you are dealing with a Good Cheap Web Hosting Provider. To me, the uptime is the most important as I have some bad experience in having my blogs down for long hours, and it’s very frustrating. I hope that this won’t happen to the new website.
There are lots of web hosting options around, and linux web hosting is one of them. I don’t think I will choose this though as we are not familiar with it. But luckily, my webmaster is such a great helper. He doesn’t mind explaining in details if I ask.

We will move to Bangkok with the kids in June and if everything goes well, we will leave on 8th or 9th. Hubby has to start working soon and BIL is renovating a bigger office to allocate some space for him. After that, I think they might have to get some office furniture and source for VoIP phone systems since we might need more phone lines for cheaper international calls.
The kids will be following us to work for the first month until they are ready for their new school. It’s going to be a huge transition for them, so we are taking things slowly. Hopefully, they can pick up the language fast and make some friends at school later. Hopefully, they will adapt well with the new environment.

We will either sell of our Ranger or leave it to BIL in Ipoh. We won’t be able to drive the car over to Bangkok anyway, so we will get another car there. Hubby has made up his mind to get a pick up truck by Mitsubishi. I told him in advance that my parking skill is lousy, especially at Bangkok shopping malls where the cars are parked so close to each other and you might even have to push them away to get in the lots. So, it’s going to be hard for me to maneuver the pick up truck at shopping lots.
But having a pick up is definitely most economic as we can use it to send the goods if needed. I’m not sure how much will the car insurance and monthly payment cost, but hubby should have made a thorough calculation before making the decision.
I told him that I will be cacat there in Bangkok because we will only buy one car at the moment. I can’t recognize the routes yet, and he’s not going to let me drive all by myself in the mean time. Takut I sesak jalan and end up in a place where no one can speak English gua… LOL!
But it’s nice to have a “driver”. I can just sit in the car daydreaming, eating, knitting, chatting with the kids or just acting dumb. Shiok…

We are going back home tomorrow. The house is almost done, but no matter how many things we bought, it still looks empty and uncompleted. Maybe our kids are not here with us yet, so it doesn’t look complete. Besides that, all our wardrobes are pretty empty even if I’ve brought lots of clothes along. Maybe we still haven’t moved in in full force? If we can manage to bring all our stuffs here, I don’t think we will have enough storage!
We are going back to pack the rest of our stuffs, but this time, we need the help of a moving company such as Boston Moving Company which has a good reputation and reliable. The pricing should be well adjusted too since I hope to move as many books as possible at an affordable price. Besides that, I might bring most of our shoes along, if I can find a way of squeezing them all in a carton box. One of the moving companies said that they charge by 1m3, so I better know how to pack well. BTW, Humboldt Storage and Moving company provides international moving service too, so if you are interested, just check out the link.
Hubby had asked around for quotation, so let’s see which one we will choose later. We have a few more weeks before relocating with the kids. We still have time!

It’s time to train my kids to sleep in a separate room. I’m not sure if this will work yet, but we bought colorful furniture for them to make the room more attractive.

Blue wardrobe for Justin and a pink one for Isabelle
They will be sharing the same room first, and the other room might be used as their playroom and study corner.

Colorful book shelves
We haven’t bought the study tables and we decided to let them choose by themselves later. I know that both of them like purple, so I found a store which sells purple kids furniture! However, it’s best to let them choose first. There’s no hurry.
I’m yet to get the mini fountain and outdoor furniture, so the garden is not complete yet.

A mini fountain under the trees will be nice huh?

Mmm…more flower plants?

Outdoor furniture here? Or a baby pool?

Bicycle for the kids?
There are still a lot of things to buy and some of the furniture will arrive when we are not around. SIL will help us to receive them so there should not be a problem.
