I hardly blog these days and once I reach our home in Bangkok, I instantly knock out after cleaning up the house. I’m so tired, the only thing I want to do is Zzzz….. I told hubby that we might need to plan our time well when the kids are here as I need to fix dinner for them, so we can’t be back too late. I think our lives will begin with wake up early, get them ready for school, we go to work, then pick them up and bring them back to our office, we continue working while they will stay there for hours before we go back home to fix dinner and clean up the house, and then everyone goes to sleep like a pig. What a day huh?
But I try to see this as another way of spending more time with the kids then placing them at full day nursery. Pity them la… At least they can still see us at the office, even if I know they will be yearning for attention. I’m used to multi-tasking anyway, so we should be ok gua…
For the time being, I’m learning Thai, but I can’t read anything yet. I’m reading about a budget software on ecommerce too as BIL forced suggested me to make good use of the software which was bought for 2 years but left there unattended. Alamak, I hate reading about software.
However, we still managed to go gai gai sometimes, and maybe we will catch a movie tonight as SIL has a babysitter today. In short, my days are pretty good here in Bangkok so the next step is bring the kids here and get them adjusted to a new environment. I think we will be doing fine.

We have a nice garden here in our house in Bangkok. It’s not big but with a mini fountain and some green plants, I think it will look nicer. I want to get some flowers to be placed in the house too, and if hubby won’t mind, I want to fill the house with lots of wholesale calla lilies and glass vases! I’m worried that my kids might accidentally break the vases too, but since they are older now, I think they understand that they have to be more careful with the vases.
Once hubby is not too busy with his work here, we will go shopping again. We have been shopping a lot lately, we need to rest for a day or two. After that, we will go shopping for more.

We can only see our kids via MSN these days, and they are doing fine at my mum’s place. Justin will always be chatty with us and he will tell us about things they do at home.

The chatterbox
On the other hand, Isabelle still doesn’t do well with the webcam and she tends to cry when she sees us. I think she misses us a lot and still too young to handle this type of separation.

Isabelle clinging to popo because she felt like crying
We have bought most of the stuffs for the house, but it’s not complete yet. I still have some items to get but we are taking things slowly now after shopping from 9am to 5pm yesterday! Both hubby and I were totally exhausted, we really knocked out once we saw the bed. LOL!
I hardly log on the internet for the past week but once my internet line is fixed tomorrow, I might be online more as usual. Actually, I am hoping to chat more with my kids. We miss them so much.
Anyway, we have another baby here to keep us busy if we are KPC to carry out our parenting duties.

Chubby and cute leh?

Hubby and I arrived in Bangkok last night. We thought that the kids will make a fuss about us leaving them in Penang, but they surprised us by being obedient and they understood that we are away for a while but we will be back to bring them over on the next trip. We spent lots of quality time with the kids yesterday until they sent us off at the airport.

Isabelle was sleepy but Justin was totally energetic
Both of them didn’t cry. They waved goodbye to us and gave us hugs and kisses before they left. Gee…miss them miss them miss them!
Anyway, we have got the keys this morning so I will be busy cleaning the house tonight. I might not be blogging that much, but there are some photos I took over the weekend which are yet to be shared. Stay tune though, and I will try myself to update my blogs from Bangkok.

Hubby helped me to pack up the clothes last night. We were cautious not to exceed the maximum of 30kg load, so we weighed the clothes as we packed. My clothes only weighed 5kg, while his was more than 9kg. The kids’ clothes made up about 11kg and we will see what should we bring to make up the weigh.
I told hubby, “See? Your clothes all so heavy. My all super light weight, I should bring more of mine.”
He said, “Ya, yours light, but you have more a lot there already and we still have half of your clothes here in the wardrobe.” Wa lau leh…like I don’t know I have a lot meh? LOL! Actually, I wanted to bring some shoes along, but I will see how should I pack them. The boxes are out, definitely. But the funny thing is, my skincare bag weighed 1kg. Now only I know how heavy they are and they are all in mini small sample size! I have too many of them and I dump all in a bag and bring them around on traveling. I didn’t know how heavy they are until last night. Siao liao, bring so much skincare samples along!
Besides that, both of us weighed ourselves too. Hubby is getting thinner, that’s for sure. I lost another kilo due to the flu bug and ear infection. No need to take Hydroxycut, just ask me to pass my flu virus to you. But let me warn you, having an ear infection is very painful. Still want or not?

My maid and I have been busy splitting up my kids’ clothes into 2 groups and one of the groups will be brought over to Bangkok soon. Then I wanted to proceed to packing some toys.
I told Isabelle that I might want to give her block puzzles away since she’s not interested in playing them anymore, and there’s no point leaving them here. To my surprise, she said “No, cannot. Mei mei puzzle.” I told her that I’m not giving to a stranger but only to Elizabeth, but she said firmly, “No, no can. Mei mei puzzle, no give.”
Wow! I didn’t expect her to be so obsessed with her toys even when she’s not playing with them anymore.
The same goes to Justin, I told him to leave some toys for the cousins since they are so close and enjoy playing with each other, but he quickly moved most of his toys from downstairs to our room or kept them in his drawer. Gosh, apa apa also don’t want to give away. Sigh…
So, baby Lizzy, sorry ya? I can’t give second handed toys to you, not yet and not now. Ask your papa to sell a few more term life insurance quotes and use all those commission to buy more toys for you la.
Actually, Elizabeth also has a lot of toys. LOL!

Sorry ya? I’m a bit sick so I hardly update this blog. Besides that, I’m busy packing up some stuffs for Bangkok. See what hubby got for me yesterday…

The China plastic bags
I tell you, when we move the bags to the airport, I will look like one of the following…:
- A homeless woman with all her belongings in the bags.
- A siao char boh who treats them like hangbags.
- A stall owner going to sell the stuffs at pasar malam.
- A traveler who can’t afford a nice light weight luggage.
- A China doll.
Ugly leh? But these bags are the lightest, biggest and cheapest!!! I only hope that the workers at the airport won’t tear the bags apart and expose all our clothes and shoes there.
We supposed to send some with international movers, but it’s kind of tight now, so hubby postponed their service to May, after we are back from this trip. To all those parents who are planning for migration, just remember that moving the stuffs is not as easy as you think. Unless you can just dump everything here and buy everything new once you reach there. I would like to do the same too, but it’s too costly!
Ok, I better get back to the title.
Last Sunday, we went to a friend’s house and my kids messed up her place. LOL! Wes and hubby play golf sometimes and we have known each other for many years. Their kids are cute and active, just like mine. Check out their blog here.
Ernest plays violin well, and Justin told me that he wants a violin too. He’s too young for violin though, so we will wait another year and see if he’s still interested.

I wanna play the violin!

Can see 4 kids or not?
Having 4 kids at home is not easy. I think they walloped lots of sweets and snacks.
So, Tannie, next time you bring your kids over to Bangkok and mess up my place. LOL! I will get one of those nice espresso machines and we drink coffee while chit-chatting. Let the men learn up the mess after coming back from golf, ok? LOL!
We went for dinner together, and Roxbury Foodhouse was really empty. The kids had a good time running around and playing among themselves.

We are having fun.
In short, it was a nice Sunday, and we will do it again probably next week.

We are not buying a house in Bangkok but only renting one for the time being. It’s not easy to get a house anywhere in Bangkok, especially for a foreigner. Anyway, I don’t mind staying in a rented house first, but if we really like it, we will see what we can do to buy that unit. It is a bit too small though, and it has only 3 rooms. I prefer something with 5 rooms because my kids are going to have their own bedrooms when they are older, it’s impossible for them to keep on sleeping in with us.
A bigger house will also mean a bigger amount of mortgage loan. I’m not so sure about the interest rates of property there, but I can just estimate the cost with some mortgage calculator if we are buying one. If you are getting a house soon, just hop over to the mortgage calculator at mlcalc.com. You can also put the widget on your site if you blog is related to loan and mortgage. I think most people will like to use it if they are interested to know more about their mortgage loans.
Anyway, I will be staying in the new house once we have cleaned it up and fixed the phone line. I will give myself some time to make it a home.

Both hubby and I need to buy lots of things for the house as soon as we reach Bangkok later. We didn’t bring the kids along because we know that there are a lot of things to buy and we might not have an extra pair of hands to carry them! If we manage to get the house fully furnished in less than a week, then I might ask my parents to bring my kids over and we will extend our stay in Bangkok.
I haven’t come out with a list of things to buy, but I am thinking of getting some outdoor furniture. We have awing at the side of the house and I think the kids will love to have a picnic table just like this:

This PolyWood picnic table is one of the many outdoor furniture available at Stonecrest Furniture. It comes in different colors too, and let’s see if we have a budget for it. I can’t possibly order one online as international shipping fee is really costly. But if you order it in US, the shipping fee is free.
Now, why is all these great online shopping stores are only available in US? I better shop around when we reach Bangkok, maybe I will find something similar.

I called Justin’s teacher today. He brought the wrong writing book back and there’s obviously a mixed up. His teacher told me that he doesn’t have to do the homework this weekend but bring back the book on Monday. So Justin doesn’t have any homework this weekend, hooray!
Besides that, I told her about stopping Justin by next month. There’s a midyear school holiday in May, and hubby and I plan to bring the kids there by then. I was surprised that the teacher told me she and some kids are going to miss him as Justin has a few close friends in class. Gee…he never mentions his friends’ names even if I ask him a few times! When he’s absent, his friends asked about him and they missed him when he’s away in Penang for 2 weeks previously. I think his little friends are going to miss him again as he will be skipping school by end of April until the mid of May. Then, I am thinking of bring him back to school for a few days and organize a farewell party for his class before the school holiday. The teacher has no problem with it, so let’s see what hubby thinks about this.
I don’t know how much Justin is going to miss his friends yet. But I’ve told him about us going to Bangkok again, while he’s staying with my parents. At least, he was reluctant. He said daddy cannot go. Why does daddy have to go? Why mommy has to go too? Why Bangkok and bla bla bla. But 2 days ago, he’s pretty good at handling it and he understands that daddy and mommy are going to “prepare the house” as homely as possible so that he and mei mei will have a comfortable place to live it. Frankly, I found it hard to explain to him at first, but that’s the easiest way to make him understand. Isabelle still doesn’t know much about this, but I will talk to her later.
So, I’ve started packing again. I don’t think I can move a lot and we still need to hire international movers to help us out. Hubby has some electronics stuffs and stocks which he has to move over to Bangkok so let’s see how we can arrange things out.
