I might be looking for a condo or apartment elsewhere if hubby’s plan is working well. I won’t be having a maid if we move, so a smaller place will be easier for me to take care of the kids as well as managing the chores. If possible, I would like to find something like the Waverly South Beach Condo. It has a nice floor plan and if the place is well decorated, it will look really nice.

Besides that, I love the facilities like the yoga room and the zen garden. It will be a nice place to stay in since I’m looking forward for yoga life. But let’s see if hubby has made up his mind. Once the decision is made, we will look for the condo.

In my opinion, it’s hard to find a dream house. I have been visiting some show homes for sale for the past few years, but I’m yet to find one that fits all my requirements. If the design is nice, the garden is too small. If the garden is big enough, the location of the house is out from the town. So I decided not to get one unless I really love it.

If you are interested to buy a house, maybe you can find out more about it from FSBO site. It’s a website where you can find a lot of houses on sale which are posted by the house owners themselves. You can easily find the house in a perfect neighborhood by using the Drive Score (http://drivescore.fizber.com/). It’s a tool which helps you to filter and look for the house in a particular neighborhood within a convenient driving distance. With this tool, you will be able to see the house, just like when you are driving in a car. You can also get a better idea of how close the distance of restaurants, schools, hospital and grocery stores are from the house you have chosen. Let’s just say that it’s a virtual map, and it makes the process of looking for a house more enjoyable.

If you are interested to find out more about FSBO site, buy a house, homes for sale and etc, just click on the links or check out its home page for more information.

I passed by the house at Canning Garden the other day and the “For Sale” sign is still around. I was wondering why the house is still on sale, even if it’s completely ready. Maybe the owner doesn’t want the house anymore?

The house design looks quite nice, but the only thing is the land size is quite small. I think my kids will miss running around like they are doing now almost everyday. Furthermore, that house is situated along a busy road, and that is something I prefer to avoid when looking for a house. Luckily we are perfectly comfortable staying in the existing house, and there is no hurry of moving out.

But if you are looking for the house plan for your dream house, you may want to check out these English Cottage House Plans, Log Cabin House Plans and Small Ranch House Plans from www.HousePlansAndMore.com. Even if the designs might not so commonly seen over here, but as long as you like it, you can take it as a reference. I found a few nice designs. Mmm….maybe I should just bookmark the site.

I don’t have a house, and honestly, I am clueless about how to sell a house! What I mean is how much is the legal fees, the listing, or the commission which the broker will be charging and things like that. Even if FIL has a few properties which are rented out, I have never bother about it because they are handled by SIL who are much better at numbers.

But well, unless I have a house that I need to sell off in Miami, then only I will find out more about Miami flat fee mls from Homekeys. But in the mean time, I don’t have to worry about this.

One of the houses around my area, which I have been eying on has been sold recently. For the past 2 years, there was a “on sale” sign at the gate, but last week, it was gone. I was a bit disappointment as I secretly hope that no one will buy it until we have money later. Too bad, it’s been taken.

The owner, a distant relative to hubby, got some help from a few Real Estate agents and one of them managed to get a buyer. Frankly, in real estate field, everyone knows everyone. There are only a few big companies here, and the agents are very competitive. Too bad we don’t have a social network for them to be united or share their experiences. Well, some people can be really selfish. :P

Unlike some countries like US, UK and Europe, those who are from various field related to real estate such as the appraisers, home builders, home inspectors, home insurance agents, home stagers, lenders, loan officers, real estate agents, real estate brokers, property managers and many more will join Wanna Network which is a directory of personal websites, forum sections, blogging, video chat, and other features for rich information sharing.

Well, maybe the culture here is different from theirs.

While watching golf on Channel 83 the other day, I noticed that hubby was gluing his eyes on the nice golf course in Virginia, US. “So, you wanted to move there?” I asked jokingly, and undoubtedly, he said he hoped so too.

Not only the golf courses are great, the suburbs are great with trees and gardens, and some have rolling hills nearby and may have hiking tracks too. If only we can afford one, staying in the northern of Virginia suburbs will be great. The Fairfax real estate can help us to locate the nicest house as near to the golf courses or mountains as possible so that we can also visit the skiing resorts as hubby likes skiing a lot.

Gosh, if only we have the money. :P

Hubby knew all the while that I prefer to stay in the same neighbourhood as we are staying now. But the thing is, there isn’t any house built as only empty land is available. Furthermore, we won’t know which piece of land is on sale too as all of them are just as green as can be without any “on sale” sign on.

But when time comes, we can always get help from a real estate broker to check out which is available for us. For now, we still can’t afford one here as the piece of land is so high. The big piece of land behind my house is selling at RM65 per square feet! Crazy! Where got money to buy!!!

So, the lottery of 17 million still available ah? LOL!

Hubby and I know that we can’t stay with their parents forever. We still don’t have plans to get a new house yet as we would like to stay in a house with big compound and it’s quite hard to buy a house like that with our current financial status. No point tying ourselves up and mess up with the quality of our lives by paying for huge amount of housing installment.

Furthermore, hubby has a few business project in planned and I’m not sure if they will come true. He may need lots of money to kick start the project and I worried that if something gets wrong, we will end up in bankruptcy. :P Even if I know about mortgage refinancing, but I just didn’t want to take that risk. Anyway, it’s just a house, and we are staying comfortably in one now.

But for those who are having a financial crisis, think about California mortgage refinance. Lots of businessmen opt for refinancing when they need extra cash to turn around.

Gee….I wonder when will I have my own house too. But I’m too kiasi to pay for the installment. :P

My mum who’s bugging me to move back said that if I think the house is too small, she would consider getting a bigger house! :PAnyway, I was curious about how some Penangnites can afford nice big bungalows, so I check out the Mortgage Rates of various banks online. OMG! How can all these people afford a big house like that!

By coming up with an amount for the down payment and extend the repayment period to 30 years, based on the estimation with a Mortgage Calculator, I don’t think I can afford it! Not now! But not sure how is it in the future! LOL!

OK, at least I have a rough idea how much the total household income needed to get a big bungalow like that! Envy…
