Mommy’s Birthday

Hubby planned to celebrate my birthday at Millennium Hilton last weekend, and all of us had a great time there. Isabelle loves the suite so much, she insisted that we should stay in the room most of the time. LOL!

We basically spent the whole time here, and the kids love the pool and the sand. It’s nice to have SAND in the city!

If you are wondering if I get any pressie from hubby, the answer is NO. I got nothing but a great weekend with my family, and it’s more worthy than a nice handbag. LOL! But of course, a nice gift will complete everything, but judging from my many years with hubby, he can’t get the right gift. He might just buy anything that comes in his eyes, or persuaded by the salesperson. Luckily, so far he didn’t get me truck accessories or any funny thing, if not I really have to piak his head jor…

More photos are shared in FB, and I’m getting very lazy in posting photos here. Really no paid post money no mood to blog that much jor. LOL!

Loy Krathong

It’s Loy Krathong yesterday, and if you are interested to know more about it, read here.

There were fireworks everywhere and the kids were so thrilled to see the pretty sky and the full moon. They were given krathongs at school, but by the time we reached home in the evening, their krathongs were slightly damaged. :P The flowers fell out and Justin broke his candle.

The kids fixed their krathong at the krathong stall, which offered them some nails. SIL knows how to make the krathong, so she showed the kids how to pin their flowers nicely in place on the banana tree trunk and bread.

They just sat on the mat by the street and busy fixing their krathongs. So concentrating…

See their happy faces! Kids are always proud of their work. LOL!

A family portrait is a must on this special day.

It’s our first loy khathong so it’s a memorable experience to us. I shall treasure this photo, which is nicely taken and hide my flabby body part well. LOL! Ya la ya la, I need to get lose weight already, no need to remind me. :P Let me check out the diet pill reviews first. That’s what you’ll get after a month of holiday….:P

Anyway, after everyone got their krathong, we walked over to the riverbank.

Our krathong, which we hope will bring us good luck! That’s what loy krathong is all about mah…

Just make your prayers by holding your krathong. Make sure that you lid the joss sticks and candle too. But it was so windy last night, I couldn’t light on the candle and had to release my krathong without the light.

Isabelle’s releasing her krathong.

I know that it’s a bit too late, but happy Loy Krathong!

And oh ya, I think winter is here….It’s so windy and cool today. :)

Happy Halloween!

Justin’s friend asked him to dress up for Halloween, but they didn’t do any treat or trick. They just walked around in the neighborhood in their costumes. LOL! Isabelle didn’t dress in anything fancy, and she was not interested to join the other kids.

Actually, there is a Halloween party at Funarium today but I don’t think we will be going. Justin is eager to go but I didn’t prepare any deadly costumes for the kids. :P So, maybe next year la….

Selamat Hari Raya!

To my fellow friends and family back home, Selamat Hari Raya and enjoy your holiday!

I’m not sure if we are going for any buka rumah party this weekend, as my indo friend did mention something to me previously, but we didn’t confirm the celebration with her for weeks. :P Anyway, do enjoy your kuih raya, ketupat, curry, and all those nice delicacies! And hopefully, none of my friends need colon cleanse later after the holiday. LOL!

In short, have a nice holiday!

Mini Concert For Mommies

Mother’s Day is celebrated on 12 Aug which is also the birthday of Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand. A day before, there was a mini concert at our kids’ preschool, and parents were invited to attend. All mothers were given “respect” and presents by their children. I was in cloud nine when my kids did the Thai ritual of presenting their presents to me. :)

I shall let the photos do all the talking.

Isabelle’s singing with her friends

You did well my girl!

Everyone has a camera, I want my camera too.

Smile!

Gong gong po po, let me introduce my new Italian-Thai boyfriend to you. LOL! (Just kidding la…)

Justin’s presenting his present to mommy.

Mommy is so happy!

Isabelle gave mommy a handmade flower. I guess the teachers did most of the craft work la… :P

Oh ya, there are more photos in Facebook (4E, ask my dad to register please. LOL!). I wanted to upload the videos in FB but it took so long, I gave up. Here’s the clip I took when Isabelle was singing on stage.

Happy Mother’s Day in Thailand

It’s the Queen’s birthday tomorrow, and Thai people celebrate Mother’s Day on the same day as well. So, we are having a day off, and hubby suggested that we make a short trip out of town. I’m not sure where are we going yet, but I sure hope that the traffic won’t be too bad.

Frankly, I would love to have a romantic cancun vacation on a special day like this, considering that hubby and I haven’t had a nice trip together for some time. Our kids tug along to almost everywhere we go, and for some trips, I didn’t feel like I was having a vacation at all. I’m counting down to the day when I can have a honeymoon trip again! LOL!

Anyway, Happy Mother’s Day.

Our Weekend

Summer holiday is almost over, and we decided to spend more time at home. My kids are still trying to max out their time watching DVD because they can only do so during the weekends since they have started their summer camp. Nonetheless, hubby and I wanted to limit their time on TV, so we “dragged” them out to the park on Saturday evening.

Daddy and mommy dragged us to the park, but we were happy to be here too.

Our kids like feeding the fishes in the lake, but funnily, there are not a lot of fishes anymore.

Why no fish wan?

The fish very ho mia, eat pandan bread. I said in my bento blog last week that I hardly see pandan bread anymore, and we managed to get a loaf just for fish feeding!

We changed from one feeding spot to another…

…but there is still no sign of fishes. Funny…

So we went cycling and trying out the exercise equipments at the park.

Balancing is one of our kids’ favorites.

And of coz, they love cycling!

Some of our friends and relatives have been asking why hubby lost so much weight…See the pic? He’s running with the kids while the wife just stood far far with the camera. Now you know why he lost weight since we moved here huh? Our active kids have been keeping daddy busy as their playmate.

We didn’t do anything special on Mother’s Day except bringing the kids to an indoor playground. So, did I get anything yesterday? Of coz not!!! But I went shopping while hubby watched the kids. And I managed to sleep until 10am yesterday. That’s a great present for a mommy who only gets less than 6 hours sleep on normal days. :)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Isabelle!

It’s Isabelle’s birthday today. Unlike other days, she woke up early this morning, and she was not cranky at all. She was doing so well, and in fact, she could not wait to put on her new pink dress I bought for her. She knew that she’s going to have a mini party at school with her friends, and I told her that we would send her the birthday cake at lunch.

So, like any other days, after I bath the kids, they will pick their clothes and dress up by themselves. Isabelle knew what to wear, and after dressing up, she went to the playroom. That’s where the kids go when hubby and I get ourselves ready everyday. Yeap, just like any other normal days…

Then suddenly, I heard hubby “screaming” “Oh sh*t!!! Oh sh*t!!!” So, I thought the kids got hurt and I quickly rushed over. Do you know what happen? Take a look…

Here’s the “crime scene”, untouched!

You guessed right!!! My little princess….cut her hair…by herself….on her BIRTHDAY!!!!! Argh!!!! I almost wanna pengsan…

But then, both hubby and I laughed like h*ll because this is very very hillarious. I always read or heard about other kids cutting their own hair, but I have never thought that it would happen to my kids. And now, it did!!!!

So, how do I look? One part boh liao…

She really cut a lot of her hair, and since she doesn’t have a lot of hair and it looks like one part is gone. She also trimmed off her top part and it’s very short now. You see la, the mommy is so precious about her hair, never cut her hair, except the fringe for 3 years and now my little girl picked up the scissors and cut it off by herself. Sigh…

You might be wondering where she got the scissors huh? It’s the new kiddie scissors hubby wanted to get for her. She started learning how to use a pair of scissors many months ago, but that pair of scissors can only cut paper, but not other stuffs. Then hoh, this daddy said that scissors lousy woh, go get a better one like Justin’s woh…So now this happen loh…Why? It’s because the scissors are kept on the rack in the playroom.

So how? We were late for school and work woh? So how? Pergi sekolah first la…

Isabelle was feeling very uneasy on the way to school. She’s old enough to understand her mistake and I think she’s embarrassed. She kept saying “Don’t tell my teacher. Don’t show teacher my hair” in the car until we reached school. She almost cried when I passed her over to her teacher. I did mention to her teacher, don’t say anything about her hair so that she won’t feel awkward.

By 11am, hubby and I passed the birthday cake and camera to the teacher, she said that Isabelle was doing fine. So, here are the photos taken by her teachers…

I purposely tie the top part to cover the big hole of “emptiness”. :P

Singing birthday song…

Blowing the candle. I wonder if she made a wish like make my hair grow back in a day? :P

From the photos and her smiling face, I think she had a good time at school. And I’m glad that the teachers pretended nothing happened and didn’t ask her about her hair.

So, you know where am I going after finishing this post?

Ya, I think I need to bring our birthday girl to the hair salon. One part gone leh….so let all be gone la… I mean, let’s cut it short!

Songkran Holiday

Songkran holiday starts tomorrow. Actually, the first day of Songkran is on next Monday, but most people will flea to leave Bangkok city tonight or tomorrow. Traffic out of Bangkok will most probably be insane, and I’ve tried that before! A 3 hours journey took us 8 hours to reach the destination. You better make sure you have renewed your cheap auto insurance too as road accident rate is higher during holidays. So, I am very kiasi to travel during long public holiday in Thailand.

But then, it’s like a week of holiday, it will be totally bored to stay at home all the time huh? Thus, we will be going to the horse club resort on Sunday, then back home again and then travel to Nakhon Nayok. Hubby canceled Khao Yai National Park as it rains heavily these days, so staying at the national park does not sound like a good idea. Other than that, we have no place to go!!!

Aiya, I’m going to be very very wet for many days. Please just splash water on me and not flour. Please don’t spray water on my face with hose too, my mascara might get into my eyes. Please don’t scare my kids, and only splash water gently on them. Aiyo…
