Robot Engineering

I’m quite amazed at the development of robotic science in some universities in Thailand. FYI, there is a university here which won the champion of worldwide rescue robot competition for a couple of years, and it’s one of our “yearly” customers. I wish that they can buy more for more projects, instead just for competitions.

As far as I know, they might be working on robotic wheel chairs, medical carts and some home robots too, which I will see next week when I visit the Profs and student teams. Some times, I feel so inadequate speaking to these genius, even if not all the students can speak good English. But their technical knowledge is soooo impressive, at least to me la. LOL!

Another Sales Maybe?

I’m still thinking if we are ready to hire another sales person to help out with our business. My current one is pretty good but she can’t hit my sales target yet. I need to boost up the sales so that I have hit the profit margin this year or next. Of course, I would hope to make some profit so that I can buy some gold bullion from United States Gold Bureau.

There is so much to do to achieve that goal but it can’t be done with only one sales person. I should really justify the cost of hiring another guy, preferably someone with some engineering background. But the thing is, it’s very hard to hire an engineer to do sales and marketing!

Body Wrap

Many years ago, I tried a stupid method of losing weight where I put some spicy chili body cream on my flabby post baby body and wrapped myself with cling wrap. I felt hot and sweating, definitely, who won’t be if your skin can’t even breathe? A lot of slimming centers use this method too, but actually, you will be losing water instead of fat this way. Once you drink some water, it comes back again.

Better Complexion

Some said that my complexion looks better ever since I moved to Bangkok. I felt the same too. Even hubby’s complexion is improving, considering that he’s not using acne lotion and sunblock regularly. I’m not sure what’s the reason though, especially since both of us like to go sunbathing once in a while. Maybe it’s the water we drink here? LOL!

I’m supposed to see the dermatologist tomorrow, but the kids leave school at noon. So, I can’t make it for my second IPL treatment. Furthermore, I’ve just found out that I have a SME seminar tomorrow. Sigh…another busy day.

Preparation for Phuket

Â I’m looking forward to our trip to Phuket and I’m going to get myself a nice tan this time. We will only be there for the weekend, but I know I will look very roasted after the trip!

I’m still yet to buy Isabelle a new swimsuit, since she’s grown up quite a lot and a new pair of bikini for myself. Maybe I will skip the bikini since I still don’t know how to lose belly fat without exercising. What to do, lazy la…

Gold Accessories

Â I went to renew my safe deposit box at the bank the other day, and went in to check out the stuffs I keep in the safe. It’s been some time since my last visit, so I can’t hardly remember what I have inside. I was pretty happy to see the gold necklaces, which I have never worn most of them.

Those belong to my kids are well kept too as it doesn’t look safe to let them put any gold accessories on. Isabelle would normally wear her silver necklace, while I keep a white gold necklace for Justin and he hasn’t put it on because I can’t find a suitable pendant for him. Hubby said he will look for a nice design for his boy and those I chose are too girly.

Too bad I can’t get a safe deposit in Bangkok yet, if not I can move my collection over there. Then maybe I can put them on once in a while.

Sharing on H1N1

Â I’m glad that Msau shared her experience with H1N1, and if you are interested to know about it, please hop over to her blog. A lot of us are worried about the flu, but then, I’m taking it easy now. Justin was sick a few weeks ago, but we were glad that the pediatrician confirmed that it’s just a normal flu, even if he had fever for days. I guess we should know when to bring our kids to the hospital, as well as read up more about influenze type A, and just take our precaution steps. So far, we are still going shopping and gai gai as usual, and our lives are not confined to our home only.

Like most sickness, early detection and treatment help a lot. At least a lot of patients are fully recovered, but just like treatments for Mesothelioma or any illness, some didn’t make it. From the news, most that passed away had other healthy complication too. So, we just have to take a good care of ourselves first.

I have 2 friends who got it, but they are totally healed now. This flu has been spreading for some time in Thailand, and last I know, there are close to 100 death cases and about 12k confirmed cases. I stopped checking the stats one week ago. I’mÂ too lazy to follow the stats already. Life goes on anyway.
