Justin has been asking us to go to Disneyland for some time, but I don’t think we can make it anytime this year. We will be very busy at work throughout the year, so I can’t think of having a trip away now. However, we will try our best in planning a trip to Disneyland, and maybe it won’t be too costly if we can get those discount Disney World tickets and fly with AirAsia. LOL!

I guess time is the major constrain now and we really can’t squeeze a week out for a holiday. Maybe a year from now, our business will be more stable and we will have more time for holiday. So, kids, be patient ya?

I’m out all day because my kids don’t need me at all. :P They would rather stick to their cousins and “forget” about mommy for a while. My ex-maid attended to them all day long too, so I could knit as much as possible.

Right now, they are having more cousins around and my house is full of kids. They hardly need mommy or daddy around, so I can just “hide” in my room for MSN and blogging. How nice huh? :)

Those who read my blogs thought that Isabelle is getting fatter, but when they see her, they said she looks just right. My mom blamed me that I should not have combed all her hair up and exposed her round face, which makes her look so bulat! LOL!

Actually, she doesn’t have much hair and it’s very soft. The hair tend to “move” up or stick to her scalp when she sweats, so she looks like tiada rambut. That’s why her face looks rounded and gemuk. :P

But everyone agreed that Isabelle changed a lot. MIL said she was “ugly” as a baby, but now very leng lui. Phew… LOL!

Anyway, I think she will gain some weight within these few days. She eats a lot! She really misses the nice food here.

I didn’t know that the school holiday is only around the corner, if not we might arrange our trip back home sometime later. My kids miss their cousins, so they want to play with each other as much as possible. If it’s a holiday, maybe we can go somewhere together, such as the Las Vegas Hotels? LOL! Too bad we don’t have the budget for that!

I think a trip to Genting will be great since it’s not too far away. But then again, we are back for a few days, so it’s too rush to travel around. Maybe next time!

Justin likes Ernest koh koh. He still remembers how fun it is to play at his house, which is full of toys. :)

The night before we came back to Ipoh, we met up with Shopping-kids‘ family and my kids spent some time playing at their house. Justin refused to let me go in the room, and he kept chasing me out!

Mommy, you go out!

Ok loh, boy…Thus, the adults enjoyed Chinese tea outside that house.

That’s me waiting for the tea, and our friend, Wes, insisted that we need charcoal. LOL!

It’s nice to see our friends again after 2 months. Wait ya Tannie? Next time we go steamboat together, but it’s going to be 3 months from now.

We are back to Malaysia for a while. We stayed in Penang for a couple of days and everyone enjoyed Penang char keow teow and rojak. :) Of course, my kids had the ferry ride too, and they still love it.

They glued to gong gong as much as possible.

I’m the only one who’s not “feeling” well with Penang as my nose was very sensitive and I kept sneezing. Could it be the haze? I don’t know…

I couldn’t see the little Penang island, it’s so hazy.

But I like the feeling of being back home. It’s great to see cleaner roads and big trees along the streets. Ah….that’s something I hardly see in Bangkok.

Streets with trees…

We came back to Ipoh this evening and the first thing we did was going for Ipoh white coffee.

“Bak kopi” dari Ipoh!

Isn’t it nice to be home? :)

My kids will hit ants and mosquitoes when they see any in the house. But for spiders, they won’t do so. Why? They watched one of the sequence of Babe where a spider helped to save Babe from being cooked by the farmer and they think that spiders are good “animals”. So you can’t find any spider traps in our house!

Besides that, I told them spiders make cobweb to trap mosquitoes and other insects, so they are not bitten by them. Since then, Justin and Isabelle like looking at spider, and they tend to look for cobweb anywhere they go. LOL!

At the same time, I told them that some spiders are dangerous, so they better don’t touch any spider. BTW, I’m not afraid of spider, do you?

I took this photo this morning, and I like it a lot.

ZZzz…on the way to school…

My kids, like most kids, can be as sweet as angels or naughty to the extend of pulling my hairs off. Yesterday, Justin made a fuss at the temple when I brought our new car for prayers. It’s a norm in Thailand to do so, and SIL suggested that we do the same.

Justin wanted to visit one of the temples where cremation ashes are placed, but considering that it’s the 7th month of the Chinese calendar, I’m a bit pantang. I brought him and Isabelle for a walk just near the building, and those photos of dead people really creep me. Sorry, you can call me coward, but in this month, I will try my best to stay away ok?

However, Justin was not satisfied. He still wanted to see more and kept asking me to walk over to the other side. Just imagine me carrying a 12kg Isabelle in my arm, holding Justin in another hand and walking under the hot sun at 12pm. I kept telling him it’s not a place to go, and we already visited some part of it. But he insisted. He kept crying and screaming and pulling me away. He cried and cried until the monk also looked at us liao. Sigh…

I brought him back to the car as I know that he’s tired. But what do you know, he vomited! He has this tendency of vomiting if he cries too much, and luckily I managed to hold the mess with a small towel and my hands. Gosh, hubby’s new car was almost gone. I could see hubby’s angry face in my mind and how Justin is going to be scolded if he messed up the car!

But the monk was great. He comforted Justin in Thai, and asked us to kneel for prayers. Funnily, Justin stopped and only weeped. He gave the kids some pasteurized milk and snacks too. Right after we got in the car, I tried to talk to Justin again about the reason he’s not allowed to go in there. But he insisted that he had done no wrong, even if I told him he’s not allowed to scream at temples. After that, I beh tahan and scolded him as my patience level was over the limit!!!! I think I scared him, SIL and also Isabelle in the car. :P However, he fell asleep a moment later.

I’m glad that the monk is very considerate. He told SIL that Justin must be tired and thus he’s cranky. Thank god he didn’t lecture my noisy boy at the temple.

After a nap, Justin was feeling better and he’s my sweet little boy again. After some hard time with him, I realized that he can be very determined now. Reasoning with him might not work anymore so I wonder if I should just let him try things out by himself and learn about the consequence? I can’t stress myself out like this all the time, if not I will need more that best acne treatment and anti wrinkle cream for ME.

I was very busy for the past few days. Hubby went for a fair for a few days, and only came home late at night. So, the kids sticked to me most of the time except when they were at school. I had no choice but to depend on my babysitter = TV + Tom and Jerry + snacks to take care of them for me while I cooked, cleaned, sh*t and anything. LOL! I didn’t have a chance to sit on the couch and knit for days, and my fingers are itchy for the needles now. Thank god we didn’t spend a lot on buying those home theater sconces because hubby and I never seen to have time for enjoying movies at home.

But the fair is over now, so I can relax a bit today. Oh ya, we are going back soon. See you in Penang, Ipoh and maybe KL. :)

We bought 2 turtles for the kids from the aquatic fair a month ago, and they have been taking good care of the turtles. Actually, Justin does most of the jobs. Everyday, he will remind us to…

  • Change the water in the morning
  • Feed the turtles twice a day.
  • Remind us to go home in the evening, saying that the turtles are lonely and hungry so we better leave the office soon.
  • Talking to the turtles, like “hi turtle…”

And yes, he can differentiate the 2 turtles! He even wanted to bring the turtles back to Malaysia next week, but I told him that they don’t have passports. :P

Something bad happened yesterday. One of the turtles died. It escaped from the tray and fell 2 ft to the ground on the first day we brought the turtles home. Hubby broke the aquarium, so when he was trying to clean up the mess, the turtle escaped. I think it was panic, so it ran and fell off from the terrace onto the grass. It took us awhile to find it with torchlights, and since then, it was not as active as the other turtle. It must be injured, but we thought it was ok.

But now, it’s dead. Justin found out about this yesterday morning. Hubby helped him to take out the body and place it in a plastic bag. The whole morning, he kept repeating, “Mei mei, your turtle died liao. Now we only have one turtle to take care.”

He didn’t eat much at breakfast, and kept looking at the plastic bag. I suggested that we bury the turtle in the garden, but hubby said we would release it at the nearby pond of Justin’s school since turtles live in water, they should die in water. O.o

Anyway, Justin didn’t cry over the turtle. I think he’s sad and confused but he didn’t how to react. He did cry, but not for the turtle. It was due to hubby rushing him to get ready for school! Hubby should have been more considerate….Sigh…

He was awfully quiet on the way to school. The turtle was in the plastic bag.

Releasing the turtle in the pond (Notice Isabelle’s sad face?)

Bye bye turtle…

Isabelle knows that her turtle will never move or be with us anymore. She might be too young to feel sad over its death, but she did look sad when we were letting it go.

By having the turtles at home, I realized that my kids have grown up a lot.

The best hotels today are not the ones with 5 or 7 stars but ones who think customer priority comes first. These are the ones who eventually become the most preferred honeymoon destinations, the pet hotel. Because the hotel cares enough for its guests, and their satisfaction. This is why for guests, it is better than any other resorts and whenever a vacation does come, they get the first flight ticket to come to their heaven on earth.
