Ladies, You Shave You Armpit Or Not?

I don’t think armpit hair is nice at all. Ok, maybe Julia Roberts had a different opinion about this!

So, I think it’s necessary for women to shave or remove off their armpit hair. And please don’t think that if Julia Roberts can get away with it, so can you! It’s really unsightful, or should I say, ugly?

However, frequent shaving may lead to ingrown hair. They are a common problem for both men and women. Yes, men shave their face too, ok? Not the armpit! Thus, you need products like tend skin as the salicylic acid in Tend Skin products goes directly to work on stubborn ingrown hairs at the hair follicle. Tend Skin is powerful and effective but gentle enough to be used anywhere you have ingrown hairs, even after a Brazilian wax. :P

However, for those consumers with allergies to aspirin it is recommended you avoid use of Tend Skin since the active ingredient, acetylsalicylic acid, is the same found in aspirin. Too bad for you then!

Your Handwriting Nice or Not?

I seldom write these days. Who’s writing when we have emails, SMS, MSN, and etc? But then I’m still using a lot of ballpoint pens at my office. That day, out of the blue, I tried to write some text in a few paragraphs. It’s something I would like my students to do, and I was lazy to type it out.

But damn, my handwriting sucks! I was so shocked to see my own handwriting deteriorated so much as if I haven’t written for years!

I guess I should really write more now. If not, my handwriting will be as ugly as doctors’. :P

Vitamin C

Dr Jo left a message to me, asking me to check out this site about Vitamin C and how to make our own Vitamin C serum. Thanks Dr Jo!

I tried on Vitamin C before, just pure Vitamin C on my face when I was pregnant with Isabelle. I had some skin problem due to pregnancy hormone. I couldn’t put on anything put that Vitamin C and some treatment serum.

She got a point that about this……

Do not buy vitamin C preparations that are tinted yellow or orange

The second problem with using a colour test is that many vitamin C serums are tinted and you will not be not be able to detect if it is oxidised by visual checking. Why a company would do this is beyond me, when they know the difficulties of instability of vitamin C formulations oxidising. If you didn’t trust them you would think they are deliberately trying to mislead. Do not buy tinted formulations of vitamin C.

The one I bought was placed in a glass bottle, with a pipette for me to withdraw the concentrate liquid. If you don’t use it carefully, the whole bottle will be oxidized and changed colour. I guess the one I bought was pure, as the colour was not brightly yellow. And it’s really expensive!

Nonetheless, if you would like to have intense whitening on your face, go for pure vitamin C, and remember to put sunblock in it when you are using during the day.

BTW, if you are as vain as me, please link Skin Revision and bookmark the site. It’s really informative.

For Tea Lovers

Both my mum and mother-in-law like tea. They will make tea in the morning, and sip on the tea whenever they like, until the tea is tasteless. I think tea drinking is a norm to most Chinese, and some of us drink tea like taking water.

Frankly, I haven’t seen tea that blooms so beautifully until I knew about Full Bloom Tea. They specialize in selling unique hand crafted artisan teas from China. Each tea bloom is hand tied by specialists in the factory located near the Taimu Mountain in China, and individually wrapped in protective packaging prior to shipping to the U.S. The unique packaging will keep moisture, light and air out to lock in freshness, taste and aroma of the tea. Thus, you can be assured of high quality tea from them.

Some of the Tea Blooms

Don’t you think the tea blooms are lovely? These teas also contain the finest rare Silver Needle White Tea leaves which is rich in antioxidants and are infused with beautiful dehydrated flowers such as Jasmine, Globe Amaranth and Marigold which give additional flavors and health benefits.

The tea blooms can be re-steeped up to 3 times each. And once you are done steeping and drinking, don’t dump them away! That will be a waste for something as pretty as these! You can reused the bloom by placing them in a clear glass or vase with clean water to enjoy the beauty as a centerpiece for an extra day or two.

I know my mom will certainly like to see one of these tea blooms. The Mothers Day special tea set are starting at $29, and it is available now through 11st May 2007

The tea set

Thus, if you are wondering what to get for your mom or that special someone, tea bloom from Full Bloom Tea might be a great choice.

Yoga and Pilates

I don’t exercise much after being a mom, so I drag myself for yoga class at least once a week to maintain my posture and body curve. Yes, I’m very curve, not those skinny type, ok? And I don’t go on diet, but just watch what I’m eating when I gain weight.

So, why I go for yoga and pilates class? Well, I took the class years ago, before I got pregnant. Then I stopped when I was pregnant and gave birth to Justin, and I continued back again. After that, I stopped for Isabelle. And continued again 3 months later. Actually, you don’t have to stop yoga class if you are pregnant, but you need to inform the instructor about it, so that you will be doing exercise like yoga for pregnant mommies.

I took the class to improve my backache that I got after my first pregnancy. It’s really getting better after practicing yoga, even if I’m doing it on and off. On top of that, it enhances my flexibility and improves my stamina. Besides, I hate gyms, so yoga works for me.

So, see the pictures below? Go guess which one is me……..

Ok, I’m here lah……

Car = Babe

I don’t have a car, and I’m driving hubby’s Ranger right now. Well, it looks something like the one above…. Same colour too!

If you ask me why I drive such a big car, the reason is, I like big cars. They make me feel safer driving on the road, as long as I don’t have to park them! LOL! It’s not easy to park a truck, so don’t complain if I occupied 2 parking spaces ok? I will try to be back from whatever I’m doing ASAP.

The other thing why hubby bought this car is he needs to carry goods for customers some times, and a pickup truck is more convenient. If the space is not enough, you can also add ladder rack.

So, this baby is beauty in my hubby’s eyes. Mine is Nissan Murano. Anyone wants to sponsor me one or not?

Get the Mouse!

If you come to my house now, it’s nothing much but messy, messy and messy. Things are scattered around everywhere as my maid is trying to catch a mouse in the house. She moved out all the luggages from the storeroom to check if the mouse is hiding in there. She could find it there, but both of us were taken aback from the number of luggages MIL kept in the storeroom!

Some of them are really old and wore off, so I told my maid to donate them away. But there is one Samsonite luggage which looks almost as good as new, after some cleaning up. It really looks more durable and long lasting comparing to the rest.

That’s why it’s better to invest in quality, but not cheap stuffs that can’t withstand the test of time.

If I Have a House

If I have my house next time, I surely want to have a big garden in Bali style. Then I will place some teak outdoor furniture at the parlor so that I can sip my afternoon coffee and blog from my laptop. Wah! Doesn’t this sound nice?

Furthermore, if it comes with red cushion, I will be screaming in delight! Maybe I watched too much Desperate Housewife where the actresses will have afternoon tea, chit-chatting and gossip on each other’s garden bench, that’s why I have fantasy about it. I want to have some girl friends over to my parlor too!

Ah…..can’t wait to have my own house!

Hair Loss

I went for a hair wash at the salon just now. The hair dresser said that since I have such fine and scarce hair, I better take good care of it as a minor hair loss will make me look bald! OMG! That’s nightmare!

How can I look pretty if I’m bald? Yes, there are lots of wigs but what if the wind is too strong one day and my wig is blown off? That’s very embarrassing!

Gee….I would go for hair transplant, definitely! My mom was on wig when she lost her hair due to chemotherapy. Even if she looks nice in wigs, but deep now inside, I knew she minded a lot about her look. So, I guess I will be the same too.

Better get consultation from New York hair transplants to get the hair back!

Plastic Surgery

I’m very open to plastic surgery. When I’m in my forties, and if I look really old, I will go for one. I have a friend who did double eyelid surgery years ago, and she told me all about the clinic in KL. We even joked about going together some day to get a face lift or eye lift. :P

However, there isn’t many choices of plastic surgery clinics in our country huh? If you are from the states, you can find plenty more, like New Jersey plastic surgery that offers lots of services.

But then, I have to got the money first before I can “buy” myself a youthful look.
