I used to dance ballet before I got married. I started ballet really late, if I’m not mistaken, I was in my early 20s. I like dancing all the while, but I regretted that I didn’t learn ballet, so I went to look for teachers who were willing to accept an old student like me.
Luckily, I found one who was willing to accept me after asking me doing a series of acts in front of her to test out my flexibility. I told you I’ve been dancing right?
So, I learned at her center for 3 years, and started from beginners with a bunch of kids. LOL! I was the oldest and the tallest of all! It’s so funny, and some of the parents were wondering why I was there, and thought that I was the assistant teacher! LOL
But 3 years later, I was promoted to Gred 5, and I was supposed to start dancing in pointed shoes:
But I didn’t continue the lessons anymore as I was busy preparing for my wedding. But I still keep my ballet shoes, and will take them out once in a while and make a few turns in them. When my girl is old enough, I will bring her to ballet class, and hopefully, she will like it and dance just like me.
Then I can get her a pair from Nutcracker Ballet. That will be great.
