Lap Band Surgery

One of my Indian friends have been obese since she was a little girl. She was genetically fat, and due to unhealthy eating habit and lack of exercise, she has always been obese through the years.

When she invited me to her wedding, I was thinking, who can her husband be? :P And he turned out to be as fat as her. They didn’t change their lifestyle until 2 years ago when they were trying for baby but they couldn’t have it. She was too fat and it’s bad for fertility. Her gynae advised her to get on diet and lose some weight, not only for conceiving, but for her health as well. She tried a few method, but they didn’t work out. Thus, she joined the government hospital’s lap band project to help her lose her weight.

Lap band is a surgery that helps us to lose weight with either by reducing the amount of food the stomach can hold or by slowing down the rate at which food exits in the stomach. A year after the surgery, she managed to lose more than 10 kg, and she is still progressing. My friend doesn’t have the money for a private surgery, but if you do, you can consider getting a Lap Band Surgery in Mexico.

The surgeons from Mexico Cosmetic Surgery are very professional and experienced. They have successfully achieved over 5000 lap band surgery for decades. At the same time, The LAP-BAND® system they are using at the facility is made by Inamed, a division of Allergan. This is the only product their surgeons will ever use. Just in case you have not heard of Inamed, it is global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative solutions of medical aesthetics and obesity equipments. Thus, you can be sure of the successful rate of the surgery.

The Look of This Season

I came across this site from Loreal, and learned some tips about this season’s hottest look. What I like best is the nude look. I have always love to show my real skin and grow, rather than covering my fast with multi colours, unless is a formal dinner.

Being nude is nice as some guys prefer to have girls who are not spending too much time maintaining their face, but little that they know, you need more makeup and great skill to look like no makeup at all! Furthermore, you need to have great skin to look great in nude. Thus this means a strict skincare routine, with lots of mask to keep your skin hydrated, and water, water and drink more water.

But I love it. Nude is definitely a great look for me!

Chasing LV

When I was in KL the other day, when we were shopping at KLCC, I noticed that lots of shoppers are holding shopping bags of Dior, Escada, Zara, and other big names. I asked hubby, “How much should a family household earn to survive in KL?” Frankly, hubby also have no idea. But he knows that if I’m staying in KL, he will go pok kai faster than anywhere else. LOL!

But I believe a lot of shoppers are buying with credit cards, and they may seem very nice outside, but the credit status maybe ugly. I have seen a lot of friends who like chasing cars, 2nd houses, designer clothes and stuffs just to show off how rich they are but in fact, they have thousands of credit card debts, housing loans and car loans or even their college loans with the banks. If the sole bread earner is gone, the whole family is like shit because the wives are like sui lai lai, knows nothing and cannot work one. Some treating debts like part of their lives, and even they have a stable income or student loan consolidation to work this out, the money they earn is wasting off like water. From the outer side, they look good, but inside, they are empty.

So, still wanna chase for LV? Go ahead.

I Like Ikea

Ikea is one of the place I like to shop in when I’m in KL. I haven’t bought the bigger furnitures like dining sets, or sofa, or bed, most of the time we only bought the smaller stuffs like cushions, cups, decorations, mirrors and stuffs like that.

I love the showrooms, they are simple and functional. It fits the concept of a small condo or apartment too.

But there are something I want to get from there, and they will be the pictures and frames. I found a few good ones which are great for our condo in KL, and with some decoration, it might look like one of those nice Condo Hotels. My hubby doesn’t have time to furnish the place. The drills and curtains which I bought 3 years ago are still being stored in one of the rooms and no one is fixing them up. The kitchen is unfurnished and I can’t even cook there. There are so many things that need to be done on the condo, but we didn’t have the time for it. Unless I will be staying there for a month or 2 to supervise the renovation, if not, it is quite impossible.

But someday, I got to get those nice furnitures from Ikea, and make the place just like one of those showrooms.
