Crimson Lips

I have never tried red rosy lipstick before. I avoid looking like a Dracula if possible. :P

But I notice that you need to have fairer complexion to look good in Crimson lips. I am quite dark so if I put on a red lipstick, I will look very unpolished. It’s like some indo maid trying to be very hiao. LOL!

So if you have fair complexion, you can try exaggerate your lips with a red lipstick. Since most of us have the tendency to makeup the eyes and cheeks first before proceeding to the lips, you have to reverse the process if you are creating this look. Minimize your eye makeup and don’t use pink blusher. You don’t want to end up with a look like the actress for Chinese opera.

Besides, tone down your nail polishers too. Only old aunties will go for red all over their bodies, ok?

Reshaping Undergarments

I was trying to find more about Amy Linear, but I can’t find their official site. That’s the brand of the reshaping undergarment I bought after having my second baby. I would apply a lot of slimming cream and put in the reshaping undergarments for more than 8 hours just a week after labor. Actually, I put it on for about 24 hours. :P It’s not advisable but I wanted to see a faster results.

I only put it on for about 7 weeks, after that the set was too loose for me. I didn’t buy a second set because it was inconvenient at going to the loo. :P

But if you want to slim down faster after natural labor, you can consider getting a set of reshaping undergarments. Don’t just be too excited about telling the world about your birth announcements, you have to get back in shape too.

Give Me a Dressing Table

My dressing table is really messy. I have so many bottles on it and in the drawer, I am so sien with it. Most of the samples are very new and I haven’t put them on. It’s a waste to dump them away now.

Most women are like me or not? We have too many things that we think we need it, but ended up somewhere in the room untouched. Maybe what I need is a new dressing table from discount furniture stores that provides a lot of storage. Two drawers are not enough for me.

Brush or Fingers?

I seldom put on makeup, but if I do, I prefer to use my fingers. From foundation, eye shadows and cream blushers. I have a set of brush, but I seldom use them, except for loose powder and blushers.

But for foundation, some times it’s not easy to blend well with fingers, if the texture is hard to be swipe around. I seldom use cotton too, so I skip foundation most of the time.

How about you? Brush or fingers?

Say No to Cellulite

I realized that I haven’t put on any cellulite cream for some time. I was too lazy about it, and I wonder if my thighs look ugly when I was in Bali. :P But since no one complains, they are not too bad huh?

There are a few anti-cellulite creams in the market, and I have tried a few. If you ask which is the best, I don’t have the answer. My cellulite is not that bad, so the effect is not obvious. But my skin is firmer and smoother if most of the creams. Luckily, I found an article that listed a few anti-cellulite products and I personally used 2 of the products listed:

  1. Clarins Total Body Lift ($57) This French favorite comes with easy-to-follow instructions for a Self-Massage Body Contouring Method, to give the gel a helping hand.
  2. Lancome Body Sculptesse ($53) Gingko and caffeine increase circulation, while a compound called Par-Elastyl claims to restore firmness to skin’s surface by preventing collagen breakdown.
  3. Biotherm Celluli-Choc ($46) Think chocolate goes right to your thighs? It does if you rub it on, but that’s a good thing: Chocolate stimulates the release of beta endorphins that, in theory, speed up fat metabolism.
  4. Estee Lauder Body Performance Anti-Cellulite Visible Contouring Serum ($50) With this silky, quickly absorbed serum, you can skip the massage. Its key ingredient, forskolin, is being touted as the next caffeine. A peptide boosts collagen production to fill in all those little indentations.
  5. L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Sublime Slim Day Anti-Cellulite + Skin Sculpting Body Firming Gel ($14) Fancy cellulite-fighting technology at drugstore prices. Complement with the Night Gel, which has Par-Elastyl.

On top of that, I tried Dior Plasticity and Shiseido Body Sculpture as well. No matter what kind of products you are using, remember to massage it well. Please ensure that you massage on the lower part of your buttock where cellulite will be most obvious. Just close the wood blinds and your door when you are doing this. It doesn’t look so nice. But your thighs will thank you for it.
