If you have a big fan of beauty products, you shouldn’t be unfamiliar with the name of La Prairie. It’s one of the high end brands that offer expensive skincare range. If I come across the counter, I will only look at those products but not trying them out as I don’t that I won’t be buying any. It’s too expensive! *actually, La Mer is also expensive, but I bought La Mer.

Laboratoires La Prairie is based in Montreux, Switzerland, and it’s famous for being the pioneer in anti-aging cellular therapy. Out of the many products, I am particularly interested in the caviar collection.
Caviar has become one of the popular ingredients in many skincare products due to it’s claimed to be effective in slowing down the aging process and reducing the wrinkles on our faces. Of course, it promotes skin elasticity and firms up the face as well. But it depends on whether you are willing to spend that much on your skincare products, since you can also find other brands with caviar extracts at much cheaper price. However, if you have lots of $$$ in your checking accounts, give it a shot.
Tell me where to get this in Malaysia or is it only available online?
My hair is dry and brittle due to frequent perming but the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Seasilk® Moisture Shampoo claimed that it can help to energize the hair and repair the damage from chemical and natural process. Besides, it has caviar extracts in it! I am so hooked up with caviar lately. LOL!
I really don’t have time for hair treatment frequently, so I’m looking for other products than Keratase. Is Alterna good?
I considered myself very lucky since I don’t have acne problem during my teens. Of course, I had a few pimples once in a while, but it had never been serious. But before you find a cure for your acne, it would help if you can understand the causes of acne.
Firstly, most acne cases begin during puberty when the body produces a hormone called androgens. But if the sebaceous glands are over stimulated by androgens, it will cause acne in some individuals. Sometimes, women will experience this too especially days before the menstrual cycle.
The next cause of acne will be extra sebum. The extra sebum will move up the follicle until it reaches the surface, and if it’s mixed with skin bacteria and dead skin cell, the skin is more than lightly to be clogged. Thus, the extra sebum causes acne.
Besides that, if you have inflammation, it will cause pimples to be red and swollen as well. Some people will suffer from acne if they have a chemotaxis response.
Thus, if you are suffering from acne, consult a skin doctor. He will be able to suggest the best skin care products for you.
I have been trying out Creme De La Mer for 2 weeks, but I think I won’t get the full bottle of the cream. It’s too rich for me, even if I’m trying to avoid applying it on my T-zone already. I guess my skin does not need the enriched ingredient yet, but I might get back to the cream when I’m older. Thus, I have to look for another face cream when I am done with the sample from La Mer. But La Mer’s The Eye Concentrate suits me well since my eye area is the worst part of my face.
But hubby teased me what’s the purpose of putting so many types of creams on my face? Even my blog buddy also said that I am putting too much chemicals on my face. But I don’t care. Thus, no matter what, I want to take good care of my skin and just look great no matter at what age I am. You can call me vain, but at least I dare to admit that I am.
I received an email from a beauty website that asked if I’m interested to do a beauty review, not written, but on video clip. Oh well, I didn’t reply the email as I am not interested to put in so much effort and time but not getting paid or any samples. I do free reviews if there are samples provided, but that depends on the samples as well.
I really hate to do video clips as it involves a lot of work and I am not good at video editing. Besides, I’m not good at using those viewcam and working with tripod or fixing what camcorder batteries!!! It’s too hard for me. Even if I know it can be done with a webcam, but I don’t feel comfortable with it. So, let’s forget about the whole thing then. I would rather type. LOL!
I keep seeing Shu Uemura Skin Purifier being voted as one of the best makeup remover of all time but I haven’t tried it before. Part of the reason is I can’t get it here, and when I’m in KL, I can’t remember about this. Another thing is, I’m very resistant when it comes to cleansing oil as I tried other brands before and they didn’t work for me. Maybe I didn’t wash it well enough to emulsify the cleansing oil so I didn’t quite like the feeling after washing my face. BTW, don’t you think that you don’t have to use makeup removal if you are not putting on makeup. It’s like don’t think your cars are not dirty if they are protected by car covers. You still have to wash the car! And the same goes for your face, it’s still best to do double cleansing after a long day.So, if I would to try cleansing oil again, I will only go for Shu Uemura since most of the reviews are quite good. This is the original cleansing oil with Vitamin E that provides skin with antioxidant protection. Besides that, it has tea tree fragrance extract for antibacterial benefits as well.

Maybe this is the one I should try out. I prefer refreshing feeling after a facial wash and this cleansing oil has cherry extract with gentle exfoliator that refines skin texture. I think I will like the scent of the cleansing oil.

Frankly, I’m wondering if this is too oily? But it has tomato extract and vitamin E as antioxidants and avocado oil for extra moisture and nourishment. It will also brighten up our skin since it has orange peel extract as well.
So which one is better? But if I get any, I will wait for the limited edition which has better packaging which nice drawings. Those are collectibles.
Sometimes I don’t just get something because it’s useful and practical. I will also buy some “collectibles” cosmetics because the packagings are attractive. Take a look at those Royal Assets from M.A.C, simply gorgeous huh?
There are 3 different combinations of eye shadows which you can choose from based on the effect that you like. You can either go for Cool Eyes, Smokey Eyes or Metallic Eyes. Personally, I will only go for Cool Eyes as I’m really clueless on how to get those smokey effect even if I read so much about it, and I prefer a much natural look, so if I am going to buy the eye colors, I will only get the Cool Eyes set. There are 6 colors in a set just as shown:

I love metallic colors of cosmetics, especially those in gold or silver. Of course, if you are not sure of how to look good it them, you better ask the sales lady before you get the whole range of MAC Antiquitease. The colors are great if you like those shiny effect on your face, but try to minimize it at one part of your face so that you won’t end up like performing for an opera show.
See? Before I can finish my existing cosmetics, I’m eying for another range. If I continue to buy every single range of makeup launched in the market, I will be broke in no time. Who can afford to buy everything, unless she’s really good at making money or she’s born rich like Paris. Don’t you envy girls like that?
OK, let me check out the pricing of those cosmetics first. I don’t want to blow my cards.
I have always been watchful with my face as that is my main asset. LOL! But my perception about beauty changed when I read some articles about how women in their 50s feel so good about themselves as well as accepting the fact that all of us age. As long as we take it positively, anyone can age beautifully and healthily.
Besides, aging is not that scary as long as we stay healthy. If I’m really old and I can’t take care of myself, seriously, I won’t be worrying much about my look. What I have in my mind is just how not to be a burden to my kids and family. I might even stay in the nursing home that has great facilities and experienced staffs to care for me, instead of giving troubles to my kids. But my hubby is truly against this idea. He’s quite old fashioned.
Thus, I should be putting more effort in maintaining my health but not my look. But it’s still hard to resist those miracle creams that work wonder on me!
Most of us have handphones nowadays, and I can’t imagine doing without mine. I bring my phones almost everywhere I go and it’s a must to be when I’m trying to get connected if I don’t have my laptop with me.
But when I was having our yoga class the other day, all of us were amused by the ring tones that one of the ladies is using. She chose an old Chinese song called “Seong Hoi Tahn”, do you still remember that? It sounded funny being used as a ring tones!
Maybe she should get some other Ring Tones, like the work of Brice Carrington. I’m not sure if she can take those modern tunes and sound, but they sounded alright to me. It’s more like a personal choice but sometimes, ring tonse really affect the others around us. So, what is the ring tone of your phone? Mine is “You’re Beautiful”. LOL!
