My Amplicils mascara by Lancome has almost dried out, so it’s time to shop for another mascara again. My friend just called me and let me know that both L’Extreme and Hypnose have waterproof versions now, so I might want to check them out at Bangkok airport later. Hopefully, they have the waterproof versions there.

If the price is much cheaper at the airport since it’s duty free, I might get both of them. I just hope that they are really smudge free and won’t smear after a few hours. Don’t you just hate it if you look like you have just cried? Gosh, those 70s scenes where Taiwanese actresses crying in their bedding with smeared eyeliner and mascara are too scary to me. My mascara has to be waterproof.

Everything is about going green and organic now. Some women might be worrying about the effect of having color residue or chemical trace on our skin after prolong used of makeup, so if you are looking for all natural and organic cosmetics, check out the Mineral Makeup Collection by Laura Mercier. I was browsing some celebrities gossip blogs just now and I found that some celebrities really cannot live without makeup. Take Britney Spears as an example, do you think she’s pretty without makeup? I think she was many years ago, but now, she’s like any normal auntie walking down the street. But the worst are those celebrities that look like they are on drugs of something, and they look awfully dreadful. I don’t want to post their photos here, no point spoiling my view. Let’s just say that it’s too common for them to go in and out of drug rehabs, but still, many of us are curious to know more about celebrities gossips.

But one thing for sure, without makeup, most of them are simply plain. They are no difference like us anyway. Of course, there are a few who are pretty without makeup like Liv Tyler, I really like her eyes. So I guess makeup is one of the best creations for women huh?

When it comes to whitening products, personally, I prefer major Japanese brands. That’s why I bought lots of products from Shiseido years ago, but then later SKII and some products from Kose. I’m trying Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Creme by Estee Lauder now because I wanted something that comes with whitening and anti-aging. But if you are looking for whitening products, maybe you can check out the products from The White-Science range of Cosme Decorte by Kose. The White-Science products concentrate on improving skin color by its unique whitening system that reduces skin redness and strengthens the skin DNA. I guess like most whitening products, the concept is about the same, but the differences lie on the ingredients used.

But if I would to buy anything from the range, I might want to try the deep whitening mask by Cosme Decorte. I always go for mask if I still have lots of unfinished skincare products. I use mask frequently, so it’s pretty easy to finish a box of 6.

Frankly, I think the amount of money I spent on buying mask a year is equivalent to buying one of those Chevy grilles. LOL! But I found another way of keeping my skin moisturized without using mask too. Just soak the facial cottons in softener or moisturizing lotion. Then peel them into thinner slides and spread them out evenly on your face, just like mask sheets. You will see the difference after 10 minutes.

When I was in university, some of my house mates and I were competing in losing weight. I know it sounds crazy but at that time, it was fun to us. One of my friends didn’t eat anything but 2 or 3 slides of plain white bread for each meal, 3 times a day. The other girl was drinking Chinese tea and cut down on her food intake. I tried diet tea and cut off rice for a month. All of us lost weight, but one of my friends lost her menstrual for a while and other one had severe tummy cramp. I didn’t feel sick, but I was kind of pale. So, there you got it, our drastic ways of losing weight.

Then, I found another drastic ways online and here it is:

Breakfast: One boiled egg and a cucumber

Lunch: One boiled egg and a cucumber

Dinner: A cucumber or some cucumber salad without dressing.

There you go. Someone claimed that she lost 10kg in 7 days and who won’t lose weight eating cucumbers like that? But I won’t try it at all. No more drastic diet plans for me, and I lost weight without doing much except being sick for 2 weeks and busy packing up the moving boxes. There you go, it’s another way of losing weight. LOL!

I’ve been packing up my stuffs lately and I found that I still have lots of free samples which have not been used and I can’t remember when did I get them. It’s pretty easy to get free samples if you are regular customer to the cosmetic counters or if you purchase up to a certain amount. I would normally use them while traveling, but I’m not using fast enough. I decided to move most of them to Bangkok on this coming trip and if I can’t finish them, I would just dump or leave them there.

I don’t think I have much time for sightseeing as we still be busy shopping for furniture and stuffs for the house. I don’t think I even need to put on makeup if I just stay in the house cleaning up the indoor and patio furniture all the day! But one thing for sure, I’m going to have brittle fingernails and peeling cuticles since I’m touching water and detergent more often as I used to. So, I better pack my hand cream along.

But to pamper myself, I better pack some masks too. I can still enjoy using them at night and give myself a little treat. Hopefully, I will be able to finish the free skincare samples and masks in 2 weeks.

I didn’t have stretch marks when I was pregnancy, but I have some my thigh after slimming down from my second baby. It’s not too obvious, but they do bother me sometimes.

I only managed to watch the last part of Queen last night and Nu Er was introducing a body care line that managed to reduce the thigh diameter in 6.5cm. That measurement really caught my attention so I decided to search for the product brand. The products he introduced were from Vichy, which is the No. 1 skincare brand in European pharmacies. I have seen some of its skincare products at Watsun and Guardian, but I haven’t tried any. Maybe I will start with the body care range once I’m done with Clarins Extra-Firming Body Care and Total Body Lift.

I didn’t get the foundation from Estee Lauder when I bought my skincare range from them. I seldom put on foundation, but only a sunscreen makeup base. But since I’m not getting any younger, I should really try to look my best. LOL!

I’m thinking of getting the foundation cake from Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX. It will be more convenient to get the powder foundation since I might want to put it in my handbag. Who knows if I need to do some touching up later?

I haven’t made up my mind if I should get it now since I might be shopping at the airport duty free again. It will be cheaper to get one at the airport, that’s for sure! It’s not like I’m working as a salesperson selling some DeWalt tools in the hot sun, I can still do without a foundation cake now. Frankly, I will have my liquid foundation and another foundation cake from Loreal True Color, but I am tempted to get a new one.

I can’t be as fair as most Asian women, and I’m fully aware of that. Thus, I prefer to be tan. That’s why I love sunbathing a lot and I try my best to have a few beach vacation in a year. Nonetheless, if you can’t go for sunbathing or lying on a sun bed, then just fake the tan.

You can just get any self tanning spray like this one from Guerlain. There are other brands as well, so just shop around. I have never tried these tanning products, and I wonder if they will stain my silk bedding if I have forgotten to remove it and head for my bed instead?

So, I still prefer to have sunbathing naturally, but with sunscreen, of course. I get tanned easily no matter how high the SPF and PA+ of my sunscreen. Weird huh?
