Kiehl’s Gift Set for Mother and Baby

Taking care of a baby might take up most of a mother’s time, but we have to pamper ourselves as well. There are a lot of promotion sets offered by major skincare brands, and I’m checking them out too because buying in sets are cheaper than usual. Besides that, you can give them away to your mother or hint your husband to give you the set since you are the mother of your kids. LOL!

Check out the gift set by Kiehl which are not only meant for mother, even your baby can use the products too.

  • Lip Balm #1, the signature and popular product in protecting the delicate lips
  • Lavender Foaming-Relaxing Bath with Sea Salts and Aloe which is suitable for baby’s delicate skin

So, let’s find out if the set is available here too!

Beauty Contest

Let;’s admit it, most women want to look their best in any occasion and at any time. But if you have the look and body to kill, what will you do? If I have Gisele’s face and body, I will definitely join the Look of The Year contest and try to win myself a model contract and some cold hard cash. Won’t that be great?

Too bad I’m too old for that, so if you are a beautiful young girl, check out the beauty contest at http://www.lookoftheyear.com

Thai Massage

I love going to spa and massage, but I don’t really fancy Thai massage as it’s not as comfortable as Balinese or Swedish massage. However, if you feel like you are having some stitch joints or muscles, go for Thai massage.

I actually took some photos of how the therapist bended hubby’s legs and arms in various angles, but they are too ugly to be shown on my beauty blog. LOL! He asked her to give him harder pressure and as the result, he felt pain through out the 60 minutes massage. LOL!

Anyway, I hope that I can try some Balinese massage this weekend. I have gained some weight on my stay and I don’t take any diet pills like generic Phentermine ok? So, maybe I can just ask them to concentrate more on my flabby thigh and tummy with slimming essential oils. Mmm… that will be great.

Some Beauty Products…

I didn’t have much to do in Bangkok except shopping for the house mostly. I still don’t have time to check out the beauty products like RMK curl separate mascara, Clarins UV base with SPF 40, and the whitening mask from Cosme Decorte.

However, I managed to try out a few items and here’s my review:

1. Loreal’s Telescopic Clean Mascara

I tried it for a few days and it is really easy to apply the mascara without clumps. However, it will only lengthen my lashes, so I still have to use another mascara to curl or thicken my fine lashes. It’s very affordable, so you can think about getting one if you prefer long lashes. BTW, it’s very easy to be removed, so it’s suitable for someone who’s lazy to remove makeup like me.

2. Estee Lauder CyberWhite Ex Extra Brightening UV Protector with SPF50/PA++

I don’t really like it at first because it’s richer and creamer than my usual sunblock. But then I found that it’s best to put a thick layer of sunscreen on my face and slowly pat it until it’s totally absorbed. Thus, you really need to put in more time for this sunscreen if you plan to apply another layer of foundation or anything else after the sunscreen protector. I have to look for a sunscreen with at least SPF50 now since I’m being exposed to the sun a lot, even by staying in the house in Bangkok! So, I’ve shortlisted this sunscreen in my list, but I still want to try some other brands before buying one.

3. Loreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift

I finally bought this eye cream last Sunday. It’s really cheap, so no harm getting one and see if it works for me. I don’t feel the tingling sensation when I apply the eye gel on my upper eye lids. Frankly, I didn’t see any significant lifting effect, as comparing to my La Mer. :P

But I have only used it for a week, so maybe I will give it another try for a few more weeks. Let’s see how…

I guess I will be getting a few more beauty products at the airport if I have time for shopping. I want to make a trip to some shopping malls again, but we are too busy for that. Hopefully hubby can drop me at The Emporium or Central World when he goes shopping for video cards. Then I can go shopping on my own!

Pedicure

I would normally go for manicure and pedicure once a month and I’ve been so for many years. I can’t remember how I got hooked with this pampering habit, but I still love it to the bits. The best thing is the artwork. I wrote a post about how talented my pedicurist is, just check out some of her work!

I didn’t go for anything complicated since I didn’t have time to sit there for long hours. Nonetheless, she did a great job drawing butterflies on all my toes. Yes, all of them. :)

In short, I love my nail pattern! Most of my friends and even strangers asked me where I got my nails done. LOL! Too bad she’s so far away from Bangkok and I will have to find another manicurist or pedicurist which is as talented as her. Gee…I can really trade in hubby’s gold cufflinks to bring her here. LOL! Just kidding la…
