I’ve been shopping a lot lately, and it’s fun because I get to buy most things at great discounts. We are going to Chiangmai soon and I’ve bought thicker clothing for my kids and a windbreaker for myself. The only one left out is hubby, as usual, but he definitely needs a windbreaker too. He didn’t bring his Berghaus Jackets which are left back home so if he is not getting a new one, he’s going to catch a cold in Chiangmai! It’s not cold during the day, but the morning and night can be rather chilly and windy.
I bought some clothes from Jaspal yesterday with SIL’s discount coupons. The clothes are too nice to be missed! Now, I still have a few vouchers from Robinson, and if I find something nice, I might use them. One of the vouchers are reserved for hubby’s jacket and the rest of them will have to be used before January. Seriously, shopping vouchers make you want to buy and spend more! LOL!
I’ve had enough skincare products for the next few months, and I’m out of space to keep them. I have to keep them in the drawer of my dressing table, if not I will most probably forget about using them. Besides that, I can’t think of what to replenish, and with the changing weather here, it’s best to buy the skincare products as my skin changes.
So, have you been doing a lot of shopping lately? With the year end sale around, it’s hard to miss those good deals, especially to a shopaholic like me.
I never miss the Christmas sale, and even if I don’t have to replenish any of my skincare products, I still have the urge of grabbing something and checking out the Christmas sets. I bought the eye cream by Revital Wrinklelift AA and White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Gel by Shiseido. I got some free samples and I wonder how am I going to finish the little bottles in my drawer now…

At the same time, the promoter from Lancome gave me a free bottle of eye makeup removal in travel size. It will be useful to me when I go on holiday next month. I will check out other counters when I have more time for shopping next week. I notice a nice purple handbag at Kanebo…
I was thinking about getting some diet pills like slim shots since I don’t exercise much, but I guess I can put the idea away at least for this week. I’ve just got my wisdom tooth removed and judging from my previous experience, I won’t be eating much for these few days. Maybe I will lose some weight, and if I’m lucky, I won’t gain them back soon. LOL!
I don’t have appetite now as I can still taste my blood in my swollen gum. Until the stitches are removed, I won’t be eating much. Let’s see if I can lose at least 2 kg! LOL!
I have a few things in mind which I want to grab during the Christmas sales, and even if I might not need them urgently, I don’t want to miss all the nice freebies and skincare samples. It’s always great shopping by the end of the year, and if you are regular user to certain products, you can stock them up as long as you can finish them in 3 years, or based on the manufacturing date.
It seems like nude makeup look is the trend of this season, so maybe I should update my cosmetics too. Too bad I don’t have time to do any makeup on normal days, but I’m praying hard that we will have parties to attend! Then, I will have a chance to use the new makeup.
I don’t feel like organizing a Christmas party on my own, even if I found a few nice Christmas Party Ideas. Hopefully, someone I know in Bangkok is organizing a Christmas party and we are invited! It’s so much fun attending one, as comparing to organizing a party. But then again, if you are planning for a Christmas party, do check out the link provided above.
If I don’t have any party to attend, what am I going to do with the new cosmetics?
I’m out of FANCL HTC Collagen Drink and didn’t have time to shop at Central Latprao. Thus, I bought the collagen pills by DHC and have been taking them for weeks. I can’t say which one is better and I don’t see significant difference on my skin. But it’s still radiant despite the fact that I don’t sleep much.

I bought the Alpha-Lipoic acid and Co Q10 pills too, and I take one a day in the morning. The main reason why I take Co Q10 is I’m just kiasu. LOL! Thank god that products by DHC are pretty affordable, so I don’t need to submit logistics resumes and get permanent job for a higher salary. Hubby won’t mind paying for my skincare supplement.
But still, the drinks from FANCL taste better than pills…
It’s been some time since my last spa and massage session. I really don’t have time for spa in Bangkok, even if I wish to have one. It won’t be nice for me to have a day off just for spa on weekdays, and my weekends are all occupied for my kids. So, that’s why I hardly have time for spa in Bangkok.
I think anyone can easily enjoy spa at home, if you have a nice bathtub. My bathroom is very small and it doesn’t come with a bathtub. If I’m allowed to refurnish the house, I would surely check out the discounted Bathroom Furniture and choose a nice bathtub for myself! It’s not hard to find a good bargain at Better Bathrooms, and if you are interested, just hop over to the link provided. If you can afford it, go for its jacuzzi collection! You can get 25% off at selected jacuzzi products, so don’t miss it. How I wish I can have a jacuzzi so that I can enjoy spa at home!
But the thing is, we are renting a house in Bangkok, so we can’t renovate the house. Besides that, we can’t buy landed property yet under certain circumstances. So, I can forget about having my own bathtub or jacuzzi in Bangkok now…
Nonetheless, I did go for water spa days ago. I feel so much better, but I’m hoping for more.
I haven’t seen my regular beautician for 3 months, and when I went for a facial at her salon today. She mentioned that I have more brown spots on my cheeks. Actually, it was worse before especially after sunbathing in Pattaya and shopping in Chatuchak. After using some whitening products for more than a month, the spots are less visible, but still exist.
She introduced Care Plus Skin Lightening Gel to me, and it’s a serum for eliminating hyperpigmentation and unevenness on the skin. I haven’t started using it, so I can’t tell if it’s good. But it’s quite expensive, considering that it’s not any popular brand names at cosmetic counters. But I’m willing to give it a try, and let you know about its effectiveness. Hopefully, it’s not too bad in brightening my skin, if not I will throw it at some steel buildings later. LOL!
I’m back to Penang and boy oh boy, it’s so hot here! I know that Bangkok is sunny and hot, but I feel that it’s hotter in Penang. My face is constantly red as if I’ve just taken a shower with tankless water heater. It’s so reddish!

UV Expert Neuroshield
At the same time, I’ve started using the sunblock base by Lancome. Hopefully, my sensitive skin is well protected by this sunblock.
I bought this UV Expert Neuroshield by Lancome some weeks ago, but I haven’t tried it until now. It’s non greasy, and it’s perfect as makeup base. However, it doesn’t give me the glow like Shiseido Anessa Mild Sunscreen (Face) EX which is my all time favorite face sunblock. You should give it a try, and you will know why I like Shiseido Anessa so much.
But I will give this bottle of UV Expert Neuroshield a try and who knows? Maybe I will love it too because it’s way much cheaper than Shiseido Anessa!
