All about Beauty

I think this beauty blog is losing its niche now as I hardly buy any new skincare products lately. Even if I did shop a lot last month, I haven’t done any review because I haven’t open the packaging! This month is all packed with holiday plans, and in fact, I’m leaving again tomorrow. We are going to the beach again, so I’m going to be darker than ever.

I should be packing and heading to bed early, so once I’m done checking out these life insurance rates, I will get some rest. Traveling around can be rather tiring, but I like it! It’s better than staying at home 365 days a year!

We had such a good time in Chiangmai, and I really feel that 4 days are not enough for a nice place like this. I didn’t plan the itinerary well, but we were so lucky to stay at a boutique hotel with the warmest staffs I’ve even seen. We have been traveling around, but we haven’t experience such warm hospitality, especially not from a resort with 5 stars and above.

The hotel staff was so kind to find us a taxi driver who speaks good English. I haven’t met a taxi driver in Bangkok who speaks as well as him! And he brought us around to a few tourist spots, and we didn’t waste a minute on the 2 days of sightseeing. He was good in arranging the trip for us, and knowing that we traveled with 2 young children, we couldn’t rush around like other tour groups.

I wonder if I would get such a nice traveling experience again elsewhere? If we can’t get a nice tour guide or driver, we might as well get SUV car service nyc and navigate by ourselves, if the maps are sufficient and the roads are not confusing. But then, this can only be done if we can read the local language. It’s not easy to do so in Thailand because not all road signs are translated to English!

I’ve just arrived home not long ago, and I’m totally exhausted! Hubby took over the kids for me so that I can blog at peace.

I thought that Chiangmai would be colder, but I don’t think that it’s cold, except at night and early morning. By then, I really needed a windbreaker, if not I will be shivering. For the rest of the day, it’s quite sunny and hot. I didn’t put on any body sunscreen, so I’m totally roasted now!

Thank god I don’t have any wedding invitations or special function to attend. I’m totally dark now!

We will be off to the beach tomorrow, and I’ve packed some of our stuffs. Frankly, I’m not really sure if I’ve packed everything, but most importantly, my sunscreen is packed! I will bring along a bottle of sunscreen for my kids too, and I will try to reapply on their skin as frequent as possible. I don’t want them to have sunburn later as it’s totally bad for a child’s delicate skin. But at the same time, we hope that our kids will enjoy a few days on the beach, instead of being over protective. How ironic huh?

Anyway, we will drive to the beach and it will take about 4 hours to reach the resort. The rest of the company staffs will take the van. Frankly, I hope that I will be able to use the van too so that hubby does not have to drive long distance. If we are going for oversea trips such as New York, I will most likely get the New York Bus Charters to go around the city, instead of using the cabs. That will be more convenient if we are traveling with other friends and little kids as well.

So, I better get my things done and everything packed tonight. We are leaving very early in the morning.

I’ve finally started going for manicure and pedicure in Bangkok. I found this little manicure shop called Leb Story, and its environment setting makes me feel like going back to it again and again.

I went for foot and hand spa just now, and it’s great to see how my skin glow after the spa. I haven’t pampered myself for some time, and the dry winter in Bangkok doesn’t do my skin any good too. After the spa, my legs look better.

The massage was great, but I hope that it could last longer. LOL! But one thing different here as comparing to my ex-manicurist’s salon is they don’t prepare samples for artwork. You will have to go through the magazines and pick any of your choice, and they will let you know about the price later.

I picked something like French manicure for my fingers, and stick to lilac for my toes.

I would say that even if the service is great, but my ex-manicurist can draw better artwork. See for yourself. She’s really good.

I wanted to do some shopping today, but I’m confined at home to take care of my kids. I will try to make a trip to check out Cosme Decorte Moisture Liposome before Christmas and if the promotion by Kose sounds good, I may as well get a few products by Cosme Decorte and try them out.

I practicularly wanted to try Cosme Decorte Moisture Liposome because I’ve heard so much about how great this essense is, and it’s not oily. Besides that, it has molecule size smaller than nano techonology, and it’s capable of keeping the skin moisturized for long hours.

The only problem is, I’m not sure if this product is available at Kose counters in Thailand. Hopefully, they Moisture Liposome is available here. But if not, I might just check out the Christmas promotion again and the whitening and fat burners products by Boots.

I bought a few sets of these tee and shorts by Bikini at Platinum Fashion Mall yesterday. Even if the name is Bikini, I don’t think they are meant for swimming. It’s more like casual or beach wear, which you can wear to a beach vacation. Coincidentally, I’m going to the beach next week! I know that I’ve been whining about how much I long for holidays, but this month, I have a total of 4 trips, so there is nothing to complain about. LOL!

If you would like to go for a holiday, how about going to Branson Missouri? It’s not a beach resort, but you can still have fun at the theme park and rides at Silver Dollar City. The roller coaster looks very exciting to me, and it’s been years since my last roller coaster ride. I checked out the packages of Branson Getaways, and frankly, they are not really expensive. I would surely hope to go there one day, if given a chance.

But for the time being, I should be grateful that I am going for a few vacation trips. Oh ya, I better remind myself to pack a sunblock and more sunblocks for my beach vacation next week!

I know that I haven’t been exercising, and my thighs are kind of flabby now. Those slimming and firming cream alone won’t help much, so I better do myself a favor and get some exercise. In this chilly weather, swimming is not a good idea, unless I swim under the hot sun at noon. LOL! So, the only exercise I can easily do is chasing my kids when they are cycling and it’s way much fun than ellipticals. LOL!

 We are back from Muek Lek, and it’s such a tiring trip. It’s not that we did a lot of stuffs back there, but the long hours journey was too much for me! I think my backache is back again, after sitting for more than 7 hours in the car. Anyway, the weather is nice there, and the sunflowers are pretty too.

That was the first trip we had this month and we have 3 more to go, but no Westgate though. Maybe my sample sized skincare products might not be enough for the whole month, so I better get some mini sized toiletries and skincare products next week.

 I’m going for a short trip tomorrow, and I hope that this place is as nice as I’ve read and heard about. I’m not going to bring a lot of stuffs, but my will definitely bring along my sample sets. There are so many of them storing up in my drawer, and it’s time to finish them off as much as possible. I have a few short trips this month so I guess I can at least use up half of them.

I’ve slowed down a lot in trying out new skincare products, but hopefully, I will have more time to do so in the new year. This month is so packed with holidays, my mind is all about going away and spend more quality time with my kids and hubby. Of course, hubby will have a few golf trips with his Cobra golf set, if he can squeeze the time for it. It’s all about having fun this month and be back in full swing for work next new year.
