Chinese New Year is Over

To me, Chinese New Year is over as I started my normal routine on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year. But over the weekend, I over eaten and I have gained 2 kg in 4 days! We were having some guests and all of us spent some time at the beach celebrating Chinese New Year. Besides dining out, our guests brought along lots of goodies and I could not resist myself on snacking more. Thus, I became fatter just in days!

I guess my metabolism is getting slower, and with lack of exercise, I gain weight faster than before. Thus, it’s time to watch my diet again, and get myself moving around! Previously, I learned ballet, and I would go to the class twice a week. Even if ballet might sound like soft dancing, but it’s a great exercise for flexibility and body movement. I used to sweat a lot after each session, and I was definitely more toned and lean at that time. But ever since I have kids, I stopped dancing, and I left my dance shoes back home in Malaysia.

Frankly, I miss my soft ballet shoes. If I have them with me now, I may just put them on and do a few simple steps and stretching exercise, if I can remember how! Gosh, I need to get back in shape and put off that 2 kg fast!

Happy Chinese New Year

I know that I’m getting slow in updating this blog, and I don’t think I have a lot of regular readers here. LOL! But anyway, I hope to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous Chinese New Year and may the year of ox a better year for all of us.

Don’t eat too much during this festive season, even if there are lots of goodies around! But of course, you can always get back to diet, exercising and weight loss pills later. LOL! But then, moderation is always the keyword…I can’t promise that I won’t overeat, but I will try my best to resist those high calorie cookies and snacks!

No.7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream by Boots

I have been really busy this week and I still can’t manage to get to the skincare counters at the malls! But 2 nights ago, I went to Suvarnabhumi Airport to send my friend off to Finland and I dropped by Boots for a short while. What do you know? I got myself a bottle of No.7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream after looking through a few products and talking to the promoters. She suggested that I try the eye cream by No.7, and it’s claimed to be very popular in UK. Is it true???

The Boots No.7 Protect & Perfect range helps to reveal younger looking, refined skin with the powerful blend of protecting and renewing ingredients. It also helps to reduce the appearance of pores and smoothing lines and wrinkles in just 4 weeks. A rich formulation contains unique antioxidant complex that helps protect against damaging free radicals while pro-retinol complex and lipo-peptides will boost and maintain elasticity. In addition, the white lupin complex will give skin a brightening boost and smoothing.

During April in 2007, BBC’s Horizon program screened the results of a study of Boots No.7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum, the first innovative product in this range. The laboratory tests pioneered by the Manchester University team revealed that the product can repair the damage in photo-aged skin that is associated with fine wrinkles. Soon after the program was broadcast, the product is sold out 13 bottles every minute.

Find out more about No.7 here.

Anyway, I don’t mind trying it out as it’s only Bt800 and it’s just about the same price as my companyrubber stamp. :P   Comparing to my previous eye creams that cost not lesser than RM300, it’s pretty cheap loh. :P Besides that, I can always apply another thin layer of Shiseido Revital Wrinklelift AA as my last step of skincare regime.

Still No Sign of Eye Cream

I wanted to get a new eye cream but I was so busy for the past few days. I went to Siam Paragon and Central, but still didn’t manage to get close to the skincare and cosmetic counters. Previously, I would just get myself the skincare first when I needed one, but then, I was too occupied with shopping for clothes for Chinese New Year, which is coming soon next week. There is so much to do for Chinese New Year!

At the same time, I think I might change my watch band. I prefer metal, but hubby said those leather bands, like Alligator Watch Straps might be a better choice. To me, they are too manly, so it’s more for his watch instead of my lady watches. Maybe he wanted to get some, since they the bands to any part of the world within 2-3 business days, but he’s too cheeky to admit it! It’s his birthday yesterday, so he might be leaving me some hint to get him a present? LOL!

Anyway, I already bought him some stuffs, that’s why it blew my shopping budget to get an expensive eye cream! Nonetheless, not everything expensive is good for my skin, so I would be better off shopping wisely.

Looking For Eye Cream Again

My eye cream has finished, and I won’t continue with Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Eye Contour Cream because I don’t quite like the pump. The cream got stuck after some time, and you need to “do something” to make it flow back again. Anyway, I’m thinking if I should get Estee Lauder or just try out one of the eye creams by Kose. I haven’t made up my mind yet.

I might go shopping for skincare products next week, once I’ve done shopping for new clothes and silk ties for my kids and hubby. Chinese New Year is just around the corner and I have so much to buy!

Shiseido Revital Wrinklelift AA

I seriously do not know why I have a tube of Shiseido Revital Wrinklelift AA in my drawer. I found it last week, and I was so surprised that I bought Shiseido Revital Wrinklelift AA, as if I found some talking watches in the drawer. LOL! I don’t have wrinkle yet but nonetheless, I have some fine lines under my eyes, and they are very obvious when I smile. Thus, I’m using this retinol AA cream after my eye cream, and hopefully it will reduce the fine lines in time.

I can’t say much about this product yet, but let’s see if I can see some improvement after 4 weeks.

Lancome Oscillation Mascara

I’m still using my Lancome Virtuose Mascara, but it seems like I have to go to Lancome counter soon to check out LancomeOscillation Mascara.

This mascara has a special wand which can oscillate 360 deg, so that the lashes can be well coated. It sounds good for thin lashes like me, but I must give it a try first before making my own conclusion. Hopefully, it will create longer and nicer lashes for me.
