Weekly Beauty Plan

When I was single, I had a beauty routine which I followed strictly. I would plan out when to go for facial, nail spa, body massage, hair treatment, or DIY home spa throughout out the week, on top of my ballet classes, and occasionally trips to golf range and golf course. But since I’ve become a mother, it’s getting harder to have a rigid beauty plan.

I can’t even put on the anti cellulite lotion every time after I shower, or file my nail, give myself a good weekly scrub anymore. Nonetheless, when I have the time for it, I will surely enjoy a few minutes of self pampering as it makes me feel so good about myself, and I like to use up most of the products so that I can buy more. LOL!

I’m 32 this year, and I can see a lot of changes in my skin and body. It’s not as firm as it used to be, and thus, I have to be very hardworking in maintaining my look. I won’t go back to the condition like I was 10 years ago, but I will try my best to age gracefully, and if not, delaying the process of aging. I should also get a colon cleansing to clear my body system too. It’s been awhile since my last detox!

Exercising at Home

I know that I’ve been mentioning about going back to yoga for a million times, but I still haven’t got myself registered! It’s so hard to have my free time without a maid here. :P

Nonetheless, I’m doing some simple exercise at home, but without a yoga mat, it’s kind of hard to do most of the poses. I’m asking hubby to do me a favor of bring my old mat over, and that map is really good! I’m not sure if he’s willing to do it though. :P

I don’t have any fitness equipment at home, and judging from the size of my house, it’s impossible to fit one in. LOL! So, hopefully I will tone up a bit from simple exercises at home.

Bridal Hair by Judy Lin

Judy Lin 林葉亭 is one of my favorite stylists because she’s a mother of 2, and she’s almost 40 years old but she looks way younger than her real age. She’s very good at styling her own, by herself, and the results are always so natural and pretty. I bought some of her books but I must say, I am not half as talented as her as I can’t seem to get the hair right. LOL! It would be nice if I have some of her skills, as it’s totally convenient if I know how to fix my own hair. I don’t have to worry about having a bad hair day while traveling, or getting up from sleep number bed and have a messy hair. As long as I know how to fix my hair like her, I will still look great!

You should check out her blog on how she came out with these bridal hair styles, and if you are keen to learn, you can try it on your own. I’m pretty bad at styling my own hair, but I really love her works.

Estee Lauder’s Mother’s Day Gift Sets

Actually, the Thais don’t celebrate Mother’s Day in May, but most cosmetic counters are selling their Mother’s Day gift sets anyway. I have always loved to get gift sets because they are truly affordable, and it’s like paying for an item but you get other related products in sample size. These sample sized products are great for traveling, and it’s also one of the best time to try out new products which you have never tried before. That’s why I love shopping for gift sets in May and also December.

I’m still using Shiseido Revital but I haven’t used any serum for some time as I wanted something light for the hot season here in Bangkok. My face will sweat as soon as I apply my lotion on, and it’s way before I apply sunblock too! But personally, I prefer to go for serum or essence if possible, that’s why I decided to get Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair and CyberWhite Extra Concentrating Brightening Essence each for night and day.

Thus, when hubby went shopping at flash memory store the other day, I dropped by Estee Lauder counter for a quick grab.

The gift set consists of Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair and face and eye cream.

Since I was already shopping at the counter, I got myself a bottle of CyberWhite Extra Intentive UV Protector SPF50/PA+++.

I didn’t like the previous version, but this time, I was amazed with the light texture. It’s quite costly for a sunblock, but I don’t mind trying it out since I’ve read a few good reviews about it.

The last but not least, I got myself a face and body brush too.

It’s great for touching up and I will use the brush instead of a sponge with my pressed powder. It’s lighter and more breathable for my skin, if I touch up my face with a brush.

So, I guess I had a lot of fun shopping at Estee Lauder huh?

BTW, I decided to let go for NARS, even if the counter was just besides Estee Lauder yesterday! I was out of shopping budget. :P

Can’t Get NARS

I know that I mentioned that I wanted to try out some products by NARS, and in fact, I saw NARS counter at Central Chidlom the other day, but I didn’t have a chance to do any shopping! My kids were pretty grumpy after a long day and they couldn’t wait to go home, thus I still haven’t try out their lifting foundation.

It seems like Central Chidlom is a nice place to shop too, but all the while, I don’t have much time when I was there. Thus, I’m more familiar with Siam Paragon. Too bad the shopping complexes near my area don’t have NARS counters, and it’s not like getting any weight loss pills which you can easily find at most shopping malls.

So, I think I will have to wait until our next trip to the city again.
