Pangram, a Lively Casual Spa

I love spa but it’s not easy to steal a few hours away for some self pampering moments. :) So, I decided to go for body scrub and body massage only, when I dropped by Pangram Spa yesterday. The whole process should take less than 2 hours, and I would be in time to pick up my kids after the session.

I would say that this spa center is quite small, but it’s lovely to me.

You can just come here for hand and feet session, so maybe I will try it one day, when I have the time to. :P

That’s the room when my body scrub and body massage took place.

I tried their promotion package, and it’s quite affordable. Too bad their one hour signature massage, which combines aromatherapy, Swedish, Thai and pressure point, was too short to me. I prefer a longer session, but it’s only available in other treatments.

Besides that, I would love to bring my gal here for Happy Kid Happy Mom spa session, but my hubby said it’s a waste of money for our 3 year old. LOL! Maybe I will bring her along for spa when she’s older. :)

Can Kids Use Makeup?

My 3-year-old girl is as vain as me, and she likes to imitate me by pretending that she puts on face cream and makeup when I’m doing that in the morning and at night. She has always been asking me to buy her some cosmetics so that she can put them on her face. LOL! She had makeup on once, when she went for photo shooting, but after that, I try my best not to let her have any dressing up because I think that she’s too young for makeup.

Here’s a short article I found online, while searching for related info.

Dressing up can be fun, but it shouldn’t pose risks. Many children like to wear cosmetics or nail polish. Make sure they’re using safer products, and applying them appropriately, sparingly, and infrequently.

Avoid these products:

* Lipstick – can contain harmful impurities that children swallow in small amounts
* Nail polish containing dibutyl phthalate and toluene – Linked to hormone disruption and cancer
* Cosmetics in powder form – Children can inhale these powders, damaging their lungs
* Fragrance – Allergens that may contain neurotoxic or hormone-disrupting chemicals

So, I guess it’s alright to use makeup on children, only when needed, such as during a concert or photo shooting but not as they pleased. I shall keep on convincing my gal that she doesn’t need makeup as she’s pretty in my eyes. :)

Oh well, kids grow up very fast, and before I know it, she might be buying her own makeup, skincare and maybe diet pills behind my back!

Facial at Estee Lauder Beauty Room

I have always been a big fan of Estee Lauder products, and if you are regular here, you might notice that I shop for their skincare products from time to time. Nonetheless, I’m a minimalist when it comes to makeup, so I hardly buy cosmetics.

I had these complimentary and makeup vouchers from Estee Lauder counter some time ago, and since I have some free time today, I decided to try out their facial. My last facial with Estee Lauder products was done many years ago, which was given free during a promotion, but I didn’t quite like it. That counter hired a part time beautician, and she didn’t know my skin condition, and the facial experience was not a pleasant one.

But today’s facial is quite nice, despite that it’s too short to me. My normal treatment facial used to be more than an hour and a half, but today’s facial was only an hour. Nonetheless, I like the products, and how my face brightened up after the session. I was given makeup too, which comes along with the facial. It’s just simple makeup, but I like it.

I signed up for their facial package, and I hope that I will come here at least once a month, on top of my facial treatment at another spa center.

The 6 products I bought, which are left at the beauty room for my facial at Estee Lauder. They consisted of Perfect Clean Cleanser, Perfect Clean Toner, Optimizer, Resilient Lift Extreme Mask, Resilience Lift Extreme OverNight Ultra Firming Creme which is used as massage cream during facial session, and also Perfectionist [CP+] Wrinkle Lifting Serum

After all, I deserve the pampering. LOL! I’m not getting any younger, so I chose the anti aging range instead of whitening facial.

I still have the professional makeup voucher, but I’m not sure when will I use it. Maybe if one day, I’m going to be aired on televisions, oh ya, dream on!!!! LOL! Then, that voucher might be useful. :P

Beauty for Life

I was chatting with a friend the other day about taking care of our faces, and how we tend to spend more as we age, and how much we would hope to age gracefully and etc. I know myself pretty well, even when I was very busy with newborn babies, and was busy being a moo to my kids, I didn’t give up totally on taking care of myself, despite the limited time I have.

I used to have a lot of time for myself only, and I could put on body lotions, which targeted specifically for different parts of body. But now, it would be nice if I can just put on the anti cellulite cream on my thighs! LOL! I have been slowing on a lot but I shall not feel guilty about it. At least I still take good care of my face, but I should spend more time on masks!

So, I wonder if I will continue my beauty regime for life? Even when I’m old, probably can’t remember much about the past, or even have to rely on disposable diapers. :P I hope that I can still remember to brush my hair, powder my nose, and is still able to afford a good and rich face cream for my wrinkled skin. :)
