Effective Exfoliating Cream and Skin Whitening Masque by Biodermie Professional

One thing about meeting up with old friends who are operating salons is, you can’t resist yourself from buying some products from them out of “friendship”. :P I bought these tubes of Effective Exfoliating Cream and Skin Whitening Masque by Biodermie from my beautician friend in Ipoh when I visited her for a facial session. Both products cost about RM200++ but I don’t think they are as good as those whitening products from my regular skincare counters.

Nonetheless, I do see some temporary brightening effect after using both products but it’s not that promising. SK II masks work much better! So, I better stick to my preferred brand next time, just like if you need Oklahoma criminal defense, get one that you are confident with. I’m more confident with the regular skincare brands which I normally get the products from.

Bio-essense 24k Bio Gold Eye Set

I this pack of Bio-essence from Watsun the other day out of curiosity and “si lai-ness” because it’s quite cheap. Not that I’m a regular user of Bio-essence, but the 24k bio gold product line does look “attractive” to me and I’m willing to give it a try.

The eye gel is quite light, with some gold flakes that “absorb” into the skin after some massage, but I don’t see a lot of difference in lightening my dark circles as comparing to Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv eye cream. But then again, the price different is almost like 3x, so I can’t expect too much. You just can’t compare a low cost health insurance with an expensive one, ok? :P

So, it’s best to stick to my regular eye cream brands, even if the price is so much higher.

Shiseido Future Solution LX

I’m always a big fan of Shiseido products, and I would check out their latest collection once in a while. Shiseido Future Solution LX is  definitely in my beauty wish list. I’ve only tried Shiseido Future Solution: Eye and Lip Contour Cream, which is quite promising, if you know how to do a proper eye massage. So, I am excited to see the new skincare range of Future Solution, and I’m eager to give them a try.

Too bad this range is rather costly, and it’s more suitable for women with skin age over 40 (according to NuEr). You can use it if you are below 40 as a skin boaster if you can afford it! For me, I still have my current products, and I will only get it when I have the budget of over RM2.4k!

Gee…how many colon cleanse review should I do to get that amount of money? LOL!

No Internet Connection…

My long break is half gone, and I’m getting restless staying at home most of the time. I’m back in Penang, but since  I don’t have a car, I can’t go out as much as I please. My dad can drive me around only when he’s not working or back from work, and for someone who’s so used to going around on my own, I feel that I’m “cacat” now. :P

Anyway, I’m glad that I can get some wireless connection at night some times. It’s not a stable line, but at least I can still log on to do some stuff for a few minutes. I hope that this friendly neighbor will continue to “open” his connection, and won’t secure it with password or identity theft protection. LOL!

Eco-BB Cream by Cyber Colors

I’ve almost forgotten to blog about my review on the products I bought from Sasa! Blame me for being lazy and prefer to sit at the patio furniture and knit for hours everyday. :P

Ok, let’s start with the BB cream I bought from Sasa.

Eco-BB Cream by Cyber Colors is my first tube of blemish balm cream. I’ve heard and read a lot about BB cream, but all the while, I don’t think that I need one. I don’t mind going out with just a tint of sunblock as base when I’m not using any foundation, so I’ve never really needed BB cream. But since I was there at Sasa, I bought a tube of BB Cream by Cyber Color for a try.

As stated on the tube, this BB cream is not only a healing natural coverage cream, but it has moisturizing, whitening and anti aging properties too. But like most BB cream, it doesn’t have a lot of color tone for different skin tone, so it looks too “white” immediately after application. But after a couple of minutes, it is less shining and “fake” on my face, even if it still has its glow.

So, will I go for the second tube? Maybe I will still buy BB cream, but I might try other brand. It’s still hard for me to say if I really like the product, but I have to admit that it’s very convenient to me, especially since I don’t bring my MAC foundation with me during my holiday here.

So, if you are looking for natural and hassle free makeup base, maybe you can give BB cream a try.

Facial in Ipoh

I went to visit my ex-beautician who owns a boutique and a salon in Ipoh a few days ago, and I felt great getting a facial session done by her. She’s been my beautician for close to 10 years, and I must say, I love her facial massage the most! I’ve tried a few salon and spa over the years, both locally and abroad, especially in Bangkok, but I still can’t find one who gives me a food face massage as her. Maybe I’m too picky? Or I haven’t tried harder enough in looking for one? LOL!

Anyway, I didn’t go for acne treatment but just the normal routine which I did over the years. Best of all, she trimmed my eyebrows! I don’t know why this service is not available at facial session in Bangkok? Funny…

Shopping at Boutiques in Ipoh

I didn’t shop a lot when I was in Penang for the first week as I don’t have a car here. But during my stay in Ipoh, I took the chance of shopping around, especially at those boutiques in Ipoh to satisfy my shopping need! I bought a lot of clothes this time, and frankly, the clothes are pretty cheap. I don’t feel the “pain” when making the payment and I bought more than I can pack back now! Gee…maybe I need to ship some back with cross country moving again.

If you ever drop by Ipoh, don’t miss the boutiques in Ipoh Garden South. But my favorites are Red Boutique (in Ipoh town), My Boutique (in Canning Garden) and E-Fashion (in Ipoh Garden East). They are all under the same management, but some times, their collections might be slightly different.

Anyhow, just visit more and check out the different varieties of cheap clothes in Ipoh!
