60′s Fashion Party

I’m going for a party this weekend, and the dress code is 60′s fashion. I guess I would just wear something in my closet, instead of buying something very vintage. I’m not really into vintage clothing. :P So, you won’t see me at the point of purchase displays of any vintage shop!

I have an idea how to dress up my kids too, but as for hubby, I will let him decide. He’s not so keen to dress for the theme, and I’m not sure if he will be kicked out from the party by not following the theme. LOL!

Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Mask

I got this sample size of Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Mask from one of the purchases I made recently, but I haven’t tried it on my own yet. I did try the mask at the work shop, and it’s good for me. I’ve signed up the facial course which uses all Re-Nutriv products, and this mask is used as part of the facial too.

My first session starts this Sunday, so hopefully I can make it. Besides cheap diet pills, I need lifting mask at my age.

Ecotools, Earth-Friendly Beauty

ecotools

I got my first set of Ecotools online, but surprisingly, I managed to find them here, at Central! It seems like it’s not hard get anything in Bangkok, including tanning bed lotions, as long as you really look for it.

So, I grabbed myself a foundation brush and an eye-brow brush. Actually, I had the eyebrow brush in my set, but it broke on me. So, I got myself a replacement then.

Nonetheless, it’s more pricey buying the brushes at Central, as comparing to online stores. I guess if you can wait for the delivery, just get them online.

Fighting Flu Bug

I’m still fighting the flu bug even after 2 weeks. The main reason is, I don’t have enough rest over this period of time, taking care of the kids who fell ill. Even if I take daily multivitamin, I don’t think it helps much.

If you have ever had influenza, you would know how “deadly” this virus is!

Anyway, the kids are getting better, and that’s great enough. I shall work on my health next, and try to eat better and rest well. I can’t rest more, that’s for sure. But I will try to get as much rest as possible.

Gossip Girl

Don’t laugh. I am only starting to watch Gossip Girl, after it’s first episode in the first season. I don’t know why I didn’t follow the series, maybe I had something else to watch over the time. But then, it’s always nice to see some gorgeous girls with fashion sense and fancy handbags, and super skinny. Are they on ephedra diet pills? :P

Oh well, the first episode of season 4 looks pretty good. I didn’t watch the rest, will I miss a lot? :P

Estee Lauder Double Wear Moisture Powder Stay-in-Place Makeup

Yeap! You read it right. It’s Estee Lauder Double Wear Moisture Powder Stay-in-Place Makeup, in compact powder of course. I got it yesterday, and I love it! I should be checking out some acne treatment creams for someone, but I couldn’t help myself from checking this out.

It gives me a sheer finish when it’s used with a brush. But then, I didn’t get the brush and shall use it with a puff then.

I don’t feel dry on my face, but I haven’t tried it for 15 hours yet. I shall see if it works that long.

Lemon Honey

Recovering from a bad cough is really hard. After a series of medication, I think we should all go back to basic, getting enough rest and lots of vitamin C. I shall make everyone honey lemon later today, and it will smooth the throat. I still have 2 lemons in the fridge, and they are just perfect for our cold.

Hubby should forget about getting beers or Padron cigars for the time being too, he’s been unwell for almost 3 weeks. If he’s not back to tip top condition, how can he go on business trip next week? Better listen to the wife this time. :P

As Bad As It Gets

As I thought I’ve had the worst week, my gal was admitted to the hospital last weekend and turned our lives upside down again. She had a fever fit and it scared us to the max! As much as she’s discharged and alright now, we still have the fear in us, and hope that she won’t have it again.

Gosh, all of us really need to have a break after we are all back in health. Forget about swimming as not all pools have effective pond filters and the kids can’t have another respiratory infection. We shall go for nature stay this time to get some fresh air.

Bad Week

I had a really bad week taking care of my sick kids and hubby. Needless to say, my skin gets worse slightly as I don’t have time to apply skincare as usual. But my kids come first, so it’s more important to nurse them back to health than spending time on creams and lotions. :P

My boy’s hospital bill kills my shopping budget this month, I guess. We don’t have an insurance coverage here, so we had to fork out our own money for the bills. So, it’s best to get ourselves insured. Even if you are disable, you can still get a coverage, especially this Medicare part D plan. You can get it from Allsup where they will assist disabled people to get themselves insured. You don’t have to pay for it, it has been paid for through FICA taxes. So, make good use for this benefit.

Gee…I wonder how much we have to pay for our coverage here as expats?
