I'm a mother of 2 wonderful kids, and a wife to a golfaholic husband. Even if I'm very busy with my mothering and wifey responsibilities, but I'm still as vain as I can be.

Effort and dream

I wish that I have more money to spend, and it would be better if there will be endless amount of money for me to spend! Then, I will buy all the designer bags, mac 90, shoes, and all the nice houses and cars which I’ve longed to collect. That will be a dream come true.

But again, dreams hardly come true unless you work for it. Come on, I’m too old to believe in fairy tales or Christmas wishes, so all I know is, you need to put in some effort to archive your dream, unless you are born rich, that will be a different story.

Issues

Most mothers here prefer sending their kids to private school as public schools have a lot of social issues, such as early pregnancy and drugs. As much as we are aware of non 12 step program and the efforts in preventing drug abuse in teens, I don’t think it only happens in public schools. Even private schools have its own issues in dealing with drugs but most have lesser students and thus it’s easier to control. Bear in mind that most children in private schools are pretty well of, so maybe they are monitored more by nannies or maids? :P Or they have better upbringing?

It’s just not about school, it’s about the people at  the school.

playing music

I love music even if  I can’t play any musical instrument well. Actually, I used to be able to play the piano, organ, some guitar, flute and etc, but I’ve forgotten the skills over years. That’s called aging. :P

I wonder if I should get one of those Fender Guitars and start playing music again? I would love to buy a piano now if I can afford it too! My place is too small for grand, which is my ultimate dream of musical instrument.

Or maybe I should just start by getting a violin and enroll one of my kids to the class. LOL!

Travel insurance

My dad called me last night, telling us that they might visit us during the next school holiday. All this while, it’s me who took the initiative to book their tickets and invite my parents to fly here and visit us, but this time, they will be booking the flight on their own? Do you know why? It’s due to the sale of Air Asia! It’s too hard to be missed.

I wonder if they will purchase the travel insurance, as personally, I always get one whenever I fly. It might not cover much, as comparing to Travel Insurance Direct, but it’s better than none. You can be ruled out the risk of getting sick or hospitalized when you are away on vacation, and it’s always better to insure your luggage, just in case they are lost during transit and transportation. I found that this company offers pet insurance too, which is something you can’t get from airline insurance.

We haven’t planned our vacation this year especially since we have lost so much due to the flood, and spent a lot of money buying and renovating our condo. Hopefully, my business will be more promising this year, or hubby will get a better job offer which pays for kids education and accommodation! I am praying hard that it will be a better year for all of us.

If so, I will visit Melbourne!

Surprising new fiancee with house

I appreciate the guest post, Emerson Moses

My girlfriend said “yes”! We have been dating for almost six years and I finally decided it was time to pop the question. I am sure she has been expecting it for some time, but I wasn’t ready. I wanted to make sure I could buy her the ring she always wanted and I wanted to make sure I could buy her the perfect house. Finally after years of saving and planning, I had enough to do both. The ring was perfect and she even started crying when she saw it. The house is wonderful too. I have already started contacting all the utility companies, so it will be 100% ready when I show it to her. The water is done, the TEXAS ELECTRICITY PROVIDERS have been contacted and the satellite dish has been installed. Once the alarm company and painters finish tomorrow, it will be ready for my new fiancée to see. I hope she is as excited about the house as she was about the ring. To be honest, I think I am more nervous about her approving of the house than I was about asking her to marry me.

Makeup Removal Sheets

I like makeup removal sheets, especially when I’m traveling. Lately, I’m using the sheets from Biore, which is great and gentle for eye area too. It’s really convenient, even if it might cost more comparing to eye makeup removal and facial removal. But I’m soooooo lazy, so…I will just stick to sheets!

Maybe I should check out comodynes too. There are some makeup removal which gently cleanse, tone and moisturize the skin in a single swipe. So why not?

Stubborn spots

It’s been a year since I’ve started IPL, but there are some spots on my cheeks which can’t fake off. I’ve tried a lot of whitening and brightening serums, both from giant skincare companies and also from skin clinics. Nevertheless, they are still there. Maybe it’s due to aging or I’ve inherited this from my mother, who has pretty severe pigmentation on her face. I guess I will be in the same fate if I don’t do something about my skin now!

That’s why I wonder if this dark spot cream will work on my stubborn spots? I don’t mind trying if I can get a free sample! It claims that it uses natural ingredients, and results can be seen in 7 days. It would be worth trying it out, if the result is as good as claimed.

Too bad it’s only available in US and Canada. So, will it ever come to Asia?

Guitar

I don’t know how to play the guitar, even if I’d tried a long time ago. The strings hurt my fingers and I gave up! That’s why I have never used any guitar strap locks, nor anything which is related to guitars. :P

I wish that my kids can pick up more musical instrument when they are ready. Right now, only my boy is learning the piano while my gal hasn’t picked up anything yet.

Hopefully, she will be ready in another year.

No Maid

I used to love making art and crafts when I was young, but I don’t do much after I’ve had kids. I should be engaging them into these fun activities, cutting papers, making stuffs with mcgill punches and enhancing their creativity, but then again, I’m also tied up with chores!

I feel that I’m not enjoying quality time at home since I don’t have a maid. :(

Flood again? No?

Our condo is not totally ready yet but we are glad that we no longer stayed in our old flooded house. Staying in a flood prone area doesn’t sound like a good idea to me, especially if I doubt about the efficiency of Thailand’s flood proof and irrigation plans. Not only that flood insurance is expensive now, it’s so insecure for the fear of going through major flood again!

Maybe we should also consider mobile homes with motorhome insurance. All of us can just go elsewhere and stay on the road if needed. LOL!
