Smoother Heels with Mr. & Ms. Dappy

I’m quite happy with my feet now, at least my crack heels are not so obvious after 2 weeks of trying out Mr. & Ms. Dappy. It got me worry for the first few days when the skin was thick and uneven, but from Day 5 onward, the skin started peeling off.

It peeled off faster if you wet your feet more often, and I do this to speed up the process. :P I hate to see ugly skin peeling off when walking in my heels! LOL! But I can still see some light crack lines on my right heel, and I’m not sure if the peel process has ended now. Hopefully, it will be totally nice in a few days.

I just can’t wait to paint my toenails again. It’s been weeks since they are painted! Now, I’m too shy to even check out the Couture Jewelry at the shopping mall with my bare nails. :P

Eco-BB Cream by Cyber Colors

I’ve almost forgotten to blog about my review on the products I bought from Sasa! Blame me for being lazy and prefer to sit at the patio furniture and knit for hours everyday. :P

Ok, let’s start with the BB cream I bought from Sasa.

Eco-BB Cream by Cyber Colors is my first tube of blemish balm cream. I’ve heard and read a lot about BB cream, but all the while, I don’t think that I need one. I don’t mind going out with just a tint of sunblock as base when I’m not using any foundation, so I’ve never really needed BB cream. But since I was there at Sasa, I bought a tube of BB Cream by Cyber Color for a try.

As stated on the tube, this BB cream is not only a healing natural coverage cream, but it has moisturizing, whitening and anti aging properties too. But like most BB cream, it doesn’t have a lot of color tone for different skin tone, so it looks too “white” immediately after application. But after a couple of minutes, it is less shining and “fake” on my face, even if it still has its glow.

So, will I go for the second tube? Maybe I will still buy BB cream, but I might try other brand. It’s still hard for me to say if I really like the product, but I have to admit that it’s very convenient to me, especially since I don’t bring my MAC foundation with me during my holiday here.

So, if you are looking for natural and hassle free makeup base, maybe you can give BB cream a try.

Do I Need a Spot Corrector?

I haven’t tried any spot corrector before, and I’m thinking if I need one. I have freckles and spots after pregnancy, and even if I try my best to use whitening and brightening products, but they are still there. They will be more visible if I sleep late or after going to the beach. :P

I have Lancome, Shiseido, and Estee Lauder membership cards, so I might pick a spot corrector from these brands. I know that I have Estee Lauder member card but I have to look for it!

A spot corrector is quite costly, so I might as well collect some points from my purchase, if I decide to get one. So, which spot corrector are you using?

Ultimate Firming Hand Cream and Microdermabrasion System by Nails Inc, London

It’s been awhile some my last manicure and pedicure session. I signed up a membership package so it’s a waste if I don’t use up my package. I used to visit my manicurist at least once a month last time, but since I moved here, it’s getting lesser and lesser. Maybe I have to do house chores here, so I feel that it’s a waste to have nice painted nails. But then, I should pamper myself once in a while because I deserve it! LOL!

I have a lot of nail colors at home, but I’m not a DIY person. I hardly do my own manicure or pedicure, even if I have some of the tools. The most I will do is just color my nails when I feel like it. No point leaving the nail varnish idling on my dressing table right? Besides that, my toes will look nicely with colors when I put on my heels.

I found that nailsinc has a lot of nice products for hands and feet. There is a great selection of nail varnish, but what I’m really interested to try is the Ultimate Firming Hand Cream and Microdermabrasion System. I’m pretty lazy to do my own manicure, but I always put on hand cream whenever I remember to. I guess the microdermabrasion cream will help a lot in exfoliating my hand and wash away the dead skin cell so that the hand cream can penetrate better into my skin. For someone who does a lot of house chores, my hands can be pretty rough if I don’t take good care of them.

This set is selling at £25. Before I do my purchase, has anyone tried the products before?

Stretch My Money on Beauty Products

When it comes to beauty products, I seldom compromise them for money. I would have no problem getting a face cream equivalent to the value of a pair of Dansko, if it’s really that good. But then, I might not continue that expensive cream for long, if the result is not as good as expected after some time. I tend to get “immune” to the effect after a few months, and I will look for another cream. But today, I amazed myself that I managed to get a few beauty related products around a total of THB1000. Not all of them are really meant for the face though, but can still be considered as beauty products.

Foundation and UV base by Maybelline. I’ve never tried the base but the price is affordable and worth a shot.

mascara remover in cotton buds by Swab Plus. This will be handy for traveling.

Makeup removal sheets by Beauty Formula. I’ve tried it, but it does not remove the make up as easy as my normal make up removal. So, I will only use it for traveling, but not for daily use.

I bought this fake lashes and glue from Daiso. The lashes look natural, so I wonder if they work for my eyes?

I found this product called mascara guard at Daiso. I have to admit that I bought it out of curiosity. LOL! Let’s see if it really works…

See? I managed to buy so much with such a small amount of money! LOL!

Cool and Chilly

I tend to snuggle more in bed in the morning because of the cool weather. The tap water is kind of cold, and I don’t have a heating system at home for all the taps. So, to avoid the icy cool water, I prefer to get more sleep than washing my face. LOL! How lazy huh?

The weather is nice, but it’s quite dry too. So, I’m putting on more hand and body moisturizers, but I try not to buy too expensive brands as my usage is quite high. I bought another bottle of lotion by Vaseline, and it’s about intensive rescue for moisture looking. Mmm…I wonder if it’s good. I guess I’ve bought a number of lotions by Vaseline, all in different range and so far, I quite like them.

Again, it’s rather windy and cool today, and I should put on more lotion before going out to check a electrical fryer and popcorn machines later. I don’t want to have dry and crack skin now and ever.

Normalizing Hydrating Toner and Clarifying Skin Brightener by Care Plus

IMG_9347 by you.

Despite having a lot of creams and face lotions on my dressing table, I decided to put them aside and use only these 2 bottles from Care Plus every night, on top of my eye cream.

I bought the Normalizing Hydrating Toner and Clarifying Skin Brightener by Care Plus from my friend last month and I have been using them for more than 2 weeks. I don’t quite like the toner as it’s mist type and it’s hard to wet the whole cotton pad before applying it on my face. You can spray in directly onto your face, but I found that it’s not spreading evenly.

But that Clarifying Skin Brightener works well for me as it has mild peeling effect and it really does brighten up my complexion. I just use it without anything else at night and SIL said my skin is getting fairer and well even toned, not due to the lighting la, of coz. So, she asked me to get a bottle for her next time.

Since it has peeling effect, you will feel slight stinging sensation on your skin when you are using it. So, avoid the eye area and around your lips. I found that it works better if you spread more on your cheeks if you have spots problem. It works for me.

DHC Collagen and Alpha-Lipoic acid and Co Q10 pills

I’m out of FANCL HTC Collagen Drink and didn’t have time to shop at Central Latprao. Thus, I bought the collagen pills by DHC and have been taking them for weeks. I can’t say which one is better and I don’t see significant difference on my skin. But it’s still radiant despite the fact that I don’t sleep much.

I bought the Alpha-Lipoic acid and Co Q10 pills too, and I take one a day in the morning. The main reason why I take Co Q10 is I’m just kiasu. LOL! Thank god that products by DHC are pretty affordable, so I don’t need to submit logistics resumes and get permanent job for a higher salary. Hubby won’t mind paying for my skincare supplement. :P

But still, the drinks from FANCL taste better than pills…

UV Expert Neuroshield by Lancome

I’m back to Penang and boy oh boy, it’s so hot here! I know that Bangkok is sunny and hot, but I feel that it’s hotter in Penang. My face is constantly red as if I’ve just taken a shower with tankless water heater. It’s so reddish!

 UV Expert Neuroshield

At the same time, I’ve started using the sunblock base by Lancome. Hopefully, my sensitive skin is well protected by this sunblock.

I bought this UV Expert Neuroshield by Lancome some weeks ago, but I haven’t tried it until now. It’s non greasy, and it’s perfect as makeup base. However, it doesn’t give me the glow like Shiseido Anessa Mild Sunscreen (Face) EX which is my all time favorite face sunblock. You should give it a try, and you will know why I like Shiseido Anessa so much.

But I will give this bottle of UV Expert Neuroshield a try and who knows? Maybe I will love it too because it’s way much cheaper than Shiseido Anessa!

Some Beauty Products…

I didn’t have much to do in Bangkok except shopping for the house mostly. I still don’t have time to check out the beauty products like RMK curl separate mascara, Clarins UV base with SPF 40, and the whitening mask from Cosme Decorte.

However, I managed to try out a few items and here’s my review:

1. Loreal’s Telescopic Clean Mascara

07052008893.jpg

I tried it for a few days and it is really easy to apply the mascara without clumps. However, it will only lengthen my lashes, so I still have to use another mascara to curl or thicken my fine lashes. It’s very affordable, so you can think about getting one if you prefer long lashes. BTW, it’s very easy to be removed, so it’s suitable for someone who’s lazy to remove makeup like me.

2. Estee Lauder CyberWhite Ex Extra Brightening UV Protector with SPF50/PA++

I don’t really like it at first because it’s richer and creamer than my usual sunblock. But then I found that it’s best to put a thick layer of sunscreen on my face and slowly pat it until it’s totally absorbed. Thus, you really need to put in more time for this sunscreen if you plan to apply another layer of foundation or anything else after the sunscreen protector. I have to look for a sunscreen with at least SPF50 now since I’m being exposed to the sun a lot, even by staying in the house in Bangkok! So, I’ve shortlisted this sunscreen in my list, but I still want to try some other brands before buying one.

3. Loreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift

I finally bought this eye cream last Sunday. It’s really cheap, so no harm getting one and see if it works for me. I don’t feel the tingling sensation when I apply the eye gel on my upper eye lids. Frankly, I didn’t see any significant lifting effect, as comparing to my La Mer. :P

But I have only used it for a week, so maybe I will give it another try for a few more weeks. Let’s see how…

I guess I will be getting a few more beauty products at the airport if I have time for shopping. I want to make a trip to some shopping malls again, but we are too busy for that. Hopefully hubby can drop me at The Emporium or Central World when he goes shopping for video cards. Then I can go shopping on my own!
