A Very Hot Day

We went to the beach today and I didn’t put on any sunblock. I brought along my Shiseido sunblock as well as Loreal spray on but I only put it on my kids. As the results, I’m totally “roasted” now. LOL!

My kids love the sun like me too, but it’s important to put on sunblock on them to prevent sun burn. I didn’t put on sunblock until I was in my 20s and by that time, I had brown spots and freckles already. It’s a bit too late to make them disappeared but some whitening spot correctors may help.

If you are wondering why I didn’t put on the sunblock today, oh well, I was too busy and lazy. But when I go on cruises next time, I will put the sunblock from head to toe. :P

Black Nail Polish

My medicurist asked me to try the black nail polish by OPI but I dare not try it. I always keep my nails short, and she said they will look best in black. I know that black is nice if you know how to carry the look, but I don’t know any stay-at-home mothers that use that color for their fingernails. LOL!

But for young girls, they can easily carry the nails in black just like the celebrities. Ayumi from Japan likes to paint her nails in black too, if you observe her pretty nails. But if you are working in a corporate world, I don’t think black works for your nails. Unless you are making a living selling online auto insurance at home without meeting your clients, then you can paint you nails in any color you wish. :P

Beauty 103

I wonder if I should get a copy of this makeup book called Beauty 103, written by Li Qian Rong? I am not good at Chinese, but I will try to figure it out by looking at the photos. Besides that, I’m more interested to know more about the products she used that the makeup tips. It’s not easy to figure out which products should we buy and most of the time, we will just ended up with tonnes of unfinished products on our dressing tables. All these books may have some commercial influence, but they provide insights on which products are better too.

Let’s see if I have time to grab a copy from the book store…

Nice Bedding For A Good Night Sleep

I try my best to hit the sack before 1am these days. I don’t stay up for blogging now, and my dark circles improved a lot. To have a good night sleep, it’s best for me to cut down on my coffee intake and I try not to drink too much water at night to prevent frequent bladder movement as well as water retention. Besides that, a nice bedding in purple might also good to sooth myself to dreamland faster if it’s comfortable and relaxing enough.

Of course, you can just pick any bedding graphic of your choice like the Flag Bedding if it makes you sleepy and patriotic. LOL! As long as your bed looks comfortable and inviting to you, any bedding will be good enough.

I want to have mine in cool colors. It’s just my personal preference.

First Impression

I may not be a pretty woman but I care about my first impression on others. To me, it’s not so much about looking pretty or handsome, but the nice feeling you have when you first see someone. How do you feel about someone who’s dirty, messy, smelly and talks funnily? I don’t know, I tend to stay away from him. But if he’s in clean clothing, tidy and neat, I don’t mind listening to his craps even if he’s trying to sell me another credit card or introducing some life insurance quote.

That’s why those involving in sales will have to dress up nicely according to the dress codes. Don’t try to be over fancy too. I once talked to a lady salesperson who had a top that was quite exposing. The buttons couldn’t close up tightly since she had heavy top. Gee…

So, what are the qualities you are looking for at first glance?

Erase Your Body Mark

I don’t have stretch marks when I was pregnant, but a few months after labor when I had successfully shed off about 15kg, I began to have some marks on my thighs. They are no obvious, but I can see them clearly! Maybe I’m just being too particular about myself, and actually, they are not that severe.

But we will have to take good care of our skin so that we will have even skin tone without all those stretch marks as we age. If you are planning to lose some weight, you better start preventing those marks from appearing by following these steps.

  • Exfoliate: It’s best to remove those dead skin cell on your body at least once a week. I am using the body scrub from The Body Shop and it’s great.
  • Moisturize: I know that it’s very tiring and troublesome to put lotion on all over our bodies twice a day after shower. If you are really busy, just do it whenever you remember. I skip this step too, but I’m trying my best to “force” myself of applying lotion on my body, especially the thighs and tummy now. You can get body moisturizers or those anti cellulite and stretch mark creams if you prefer. I have one from Lucy Belle, but I hope to try out those products from Clarins once I’ve finished mine.
  • Massage: Again, I know this is troublesome! That’s why I engage myself in spa and body massage so that I can get some pampering and let the masseur to take good care of my skin. LOL! I really don’t have time for DIY massage everyday now.

In short, a lady woman is hardly beautiful. If you want to look good in chemises, such as shown in this photo :

Let’s get started with these steps now.

Do You Change Your Foundation Sponge?

I purposely took a shot of an old foundation sponge which I wanted to throw away but left at the bathroom sink just for this post. Now tell me, do you change your foundation sponge often? I like to wet the sponge before putting on the foundation, so I would normally place the sponge in the bathroom.

But the sponge will collect lots of dead skin cell every time we use it, and bacteria grow easily especially when it’s wet. So, if you have some issues with breakout or acne, you better change your makeup sponge as often as you can. I prefer to change them at least once a month, but some experts suggested once a week. So, if you can afford to buy more sponge, follow the advise from the experts! I hardly put on foundation, so I drag it longer.

The promoter told me to wash those sponges with mild soap water, but I hardly do it. Makeup sponge is not that expensive though, but if they are makeup brushes, then I will wash them diligently. Don’t tell me you don’t know how much those brushes cost, ok?
