90 Minutes 3D Face Sculpturing Facial by Socie

My friend is getting married soon but after some long nights and a few bottles off the wine racks, she has some water retention problem on her face and she looks bloated too. Seriously, if she can afford it, I would recommend her to go for a nice face sculpturing course like the one offered by Socie.

I’m interested to try it out and see if it’s effective in lifting up my eye area in 90 minutes. But the thing is, you can only try it out in Taiwan or Japan. Gee…How disappointing huh?

Face Massage

It has been some time since I gave myself a DIY face massage. I only put cleanse and mask my face, but I don’t massage it because time is limited! I only have my face massage done by the my beautician because it is more comfortable and relaxing than doing this by myself.

There are 2 different types of face massage method. The western method begins from the forehead and moves downwards, while the Japanese method (Kobido) does the opposite direction. No matter which method you choose, as long as you are comfortable to it, it should give you the same results. Here is how you can do a face massage as quoted from this site:

Face:
Massage Steps:
1.Cup hands around the head, with thumbs resting on the forehead and fingertips at the temples.Smooth out the forehead in strips-starting along the eyebrows, working up toward the hairline.
2.Press between the eyebrows with your thumbs.Repeat, moving up the center of the forehead to the hairline.
3.Massage temples, using circular motion with fingers.Continue circles down along the jawbone to the chin.
4.Using your fingertips, draw a line under the cheekbone and out to the temples.Repeat, taking the line lower down the cheek each time.
5.Use the fingertips to draw a big moustache shape from the upper lip out to the temples, and circle the temples one more time.
6.Press softly around the upper bone of the eye sockets, starting from the bridge of the nose, out to the corner of the eye.Repeat, this time working carefully around the eye socket under the eyes.
7.Gently massage the ears between your thumbs and fingers, starting at the earlobe and moving around and up to the top of the ear.
8.Pull ears very gently, again starting with the lobe and moving gradually to the top of the ear.
9.Cup hands and rest them over the eyes(it’s best to warn your partner before you do this).Ask your partner to breathe in and out deeply several times.Release the hands.

However, you have to use a massage oil or facial massage cream to ease the flow of the massage. If your face is not moist or coating with massage oil, you will get fine lines if you apply pressure and push your skin around like a dough! If you haven’t tried a face massage before, make an appointment with a beauty or spa center. It’s so great that you will surely yearn for more.

Facial Cotton

Don’t you think all facial cotton is the same, they are not! If you are using softener or toner, it is advisable to pour the liquid onto the facial cotton, then wipe or pat the wet cotton onto your face, rather than just patting it with your hands. If you do it with facial cotton, the softener or toner can be evenly spread out especially at your nose area.

So, if you facial cotton sucks, imagine how much toner you are wasting everything you use the cotton? So, you better get high quality facial cotton, like those from the cosmetic counters. Yes, they are much more expensive, but they save up your softener and toner too.

If you really get those good cottons, try this home facial. After you have cleansed your face, soak up the cotton with hydrating or whitening softeners. If you have SKII pitera, use it too. Then tear the cotton into thinner pieces and put them on your face, all over it. Leave it on for 10 minutes, and voila! Go check your face at the mirror, I tell you, you face will definitely look better!

Sheep Placenta

I came across a supplementation product made of sheep placenta the other day. I didn’t buy it, but Mummy In Vain is having them, so one day I will ask if she thinks they do wonder to her skin.

I was tempted to try, but since I’m still breastfeeding, I dare not take anything “funny” without consulting my doctor first. Frankly, I hardly see a doctor too. LOL!

So, maybe I will just try this out….

It’s also made of sheep placenta, but it’s nose mud for blackheads.

Facial Today

I have my “professional” facial at least once a month. I like to have facial session as my skin rejuvenates and feels softer right after a session. Besides, I’m very oi leng, I saw how terrible I looked in the video I made last night, and I know I desperately needed a facial ASAP!

I tell you, your face will thank you if you have ampoules on it. I just need ampoules to lift up my face, and make me look fresher, instead of one tiring and ugly look. When both my kids are going to school years later, I will surely get back to my home facial session and get myself boxes of ampoules to put them on occasionally. They will make wonder to your skin!

Trust me, I’m the expect. LOL!

Home Facial

Before I have kids, I would have home facial once a week, besides my regular month facial at my beautician.  But lately, I hardly have time for a full home facial, but I try to have a quick one if possible.

Firstly, I will wash my face with make up removal, even if I don’t put make up on. Then follow by a facial wash. If you have face scrub, you can use it too. Personally, I like to use this Estee Lauder Idealist Micro-D scrub, or with just use the mini massager with facial foam.

Then, I will put on a purifying mask to clear my pores and remove dead skin cells. Sometimes, if I feel like brightening up my complexion, I will go for whitening mask. Most of the masks I’m using now are from Japanese companies as I feel that they are more suitable for Asian skin.

Previously, I would even give myself a face massage, but I haven’t done this for a while. I got to simplify my facial process to fit my busy schedule now. So, my massage cream has been long abandoned. :P

I think it’s expired already, but I didn’t throw it away yet.

Oh ya, I used to have a steamer too. I would steam my face before putting on the mask, but I can’t seems to remember where I placed it. But never mind, as long as your house have cookware like rice cooker, just place your face there when the rice is steaming hot, it will give you the same results. Ha! Just joking, don’t ever do that!

Nano Pure Gold Immune System

Having 24K gold in skincare products is a hit now, but I haven’t tried any out. I came across this on TV, magazines and newspaper, but I don’t know anyone around who has tried it out yet. Anyone??? If you have tried gold facial, or products with gold, let me know how effective it is? I guess it must be really good as it’s very popular in Japan right now.

If you are wondering, why nano pure gold is a hit now….Here’s the reasons:

  • Pure gold can form a physical layer on the skin’s surface against oxidization and reduce UV damage and environmental harm.
  • It can be absorbed efficiently, and revive new life and immunity of skin, preventing cells from aging, improving coarse, dull, inactive skin, acne, scars, wrinkles, and drk spots on the skin.

I’m tempted to try it out at Adonis but the package is too expensive. For 5 nano pure gold therapy facial, it is going to cost me RM2500, so worth it or not? But I can try out once first as it’s RM580, just to see if it suit me or not, then only decide if the package is worth taken.

Piss…I just called. They don’t have any branches in Ipoh, only in KL, Melaka and JB. Yikes, can’t try out unless I go down to KL.

So, ladies, if you are interested, call 03-21432626 for reservation.

Light Therapy Package

My friend cum beautician had told me about this new promotional package of hers that includes light therapy, body massage, and a simple facial for RM128 since last year end. But I didn’t have the time to try it out until today when my PC was infected with virus and was sent to the repair shop. See, blogging is a big part of my life. LOL! No lah… I called her up days ago as I was supposed to be in Bali right now, but the trip was postponed to August. However, I was dying to have a body massage. My last one was 2 years ago!

My friend’s salon

Oh ya, if you are wondering why I went for light therapy, here’s why….

Independent research demonstrates that certain cells in the skin can be encouraged to produce collagen, elastin and certain enzymes that are imperative to the skin’s supportive structure through a process that combines specific ingredients delivered through topically applied skincare products with light waves of precisely 633 nanometers.

This process results in the vascular walls of the skin’s small blood vessels being strengthened, and result in improved oxygenation and detoxification of the skin. Hydration is increased and the ability of the skin to retain moisture improves. Increased cellular activity, improved natural repair, and creation of healthy skin conditions more conducive to cell regeneration also follows.

Use of a special targeted delivery system enables results obvious to the naked eye that may include improved skin clarity, tone and texture, and minimization of fine lines and wrinkles while reversing the effects of sun damage and chronological aging.

This session started with a body massage with green tea essential oil she bought from Bali. Then, she lid up the aroma oil and switched off the lights, so it’s quite relaxing.

Aromatherapy and essential oil

This table lamp is nice!

After the body massage, she gave me a face massage, and almost put me to sleep! Then, she applied oxygen mask on my face, and slimming cream on my tummy, before I proceed to light therapy.

The sauna with light therapy

Here’s how it looks like …with Air Supply CD playing inside.

I was in the sauna for about 28 minutes, and the temperature raised from 28 deg to 40 deg throughout the duration. It’s really hot, and I was sweating like rain. It’s best to be in there naked, so that every part of your skin will get the light evenly. Don’t worry, there are curtains to close the view.

After that, I changed into a clean and dry robe and proceeded to my simple facial. I requested an eye treatment facial too as my dark circles were really bad. So, after the facial and eye treatment facial, voila! I was all ready to head for party! No lah…ready to go home gorgeously…

Facial

I had never washed my face with facial foam or put anything on it before I went to uni. I just wash my face with water, that’s it! And I was exposed to the sun a lot in high school as I was actively involved in camping, marching, some society functions, and etc! I was really dark, but luckily, I didn’t have pimples! Only freckles on my cheeks due to the sun ….

I started going for facial when I was about 22 years old. At that time, I started working not long ago, and was itchy on spending my salary! I remembered I was checking out some skincare products at Shiseido, and the promoter “brainwashed” me to buy her stuffs. She said there’s a promotion where they would give free facial for a purchase of RMxxx and above.

I was attracted by the word FACIAL as I had never had any before. In fact, I had no idea what it was! So, I bought my facial foam, softener, day moisturizer  and night moisturizer. I followed the routine whole-heartedly and waited anticipatedly for my first facial.

When I was there for my appointment, I was quite curious about what’s going on, and didn’t enjoy the facial much. I was asking a lot of questions!!! Luckily, the beautician was friendly enough to answer all my questions, and she even complimented how good my complexion was (that time very young mah…). :P  Anyway, she’s still my beautician until now, even if she has quit working for Shiseido and started her own salon and boutique. :)

I had a few facial with other beautician when I bought stuffs from Estee during their promotion, but the beautician were not that good. I can’t even remember their faces now! :P

Ok, after the first facial, I was hooked! I signed up for monthly facial course and since then, there was no turning back! I would go for facial every month, even if when I was heavily pregnant and going to pop any minute! And the 2nd thing I did after confinement (1st thing is to wash my hair at salon! LOL!) was to go for facial! That time my face very “charn”, got to get some professional help!

Why am I sticking to the same beautician? Well, first of all, I like her massage. She is good at face massaging and body massage too, but I stopped body massage after having kids. No time for all these indulgences anymore!

Some of my friends like to try new salon if there’s a promotional first trial, but I have never done that. I’m too kiasi to try, really don’t want to be disappointed with the cheaper facials and ended up cursing the beautician. I’m really picky mah… :P
