I only knew about Helena Rubinstein days ago when I was watching Queeny on TV. It’s one of the famous makeup line with Demi Moore as their spokeswoman.
I would love to try their mascara named Lash Queen because it has the leopard skin casing, which is so unique and the demonstration showed how great the effect is by just using the combination of voluminous and lengthening mascaras. It looks like putting on fake mascara if you know how to use them correctly.
But the bad news is, we can’t get the product here. Maybe I should ask my blog buddy to get them back from me from US huh?
I hardly put on makeup, that’s why I try my best not to buy a lot of cosmetics. However, there are some makeups which are hard to resist. These makeups are more like costume jewelry and you can hardly tell their main purpose until you open the casing. 3 of my favorite party accessory makeup palettes are:

I love makeup with nice packaging. It’s not much about the colors or the texture but the casing and how the make is presented. This makeup palette by Benefit may not even have the colors that I like, but I love the design of the palette. It looks more like a diary to me and it’s in darker pink! Besides, the silver buckle looks so pretty!
Now, I really regret that I didn’t check it out when I was in KL yesterday. I was rushing to get the toys and clothes for my kids, but nothing for myself again. Gee…
I found that there are a lot of makeup artists who are fond of using the foundations from Laura Mercier. It’s been very popular for its range of foundations, including Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation as well as Laura Mercier Moisturizing Foundation. I haven’t made up my mind on which foundation should I try out yet, but checking from the reviews of the products, I think Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation might be a better choice.

I can’t find a Laura Mercier counter here unless I visit KL again. Since that is impossible for the time being, the best way to get the foundation will be purchasing it online via Amazon.com. I found lots of products from the same brand at Amazon.com. But before I swipe my credit card on any beauty products again, I better look for the Amazon coupon code from Deal Locker which can be used on those products from Laura Mercier. I would be an idiot if I don’t make good use of those Amazon discounts and pay more for the same thing!
However, I wish that someone will give me some Amazon discount gift certificates now because it’s my birthday in 2 days! I have to get something for myself just to celebrate my 30th birthday. I think a good foundation will be great since I need to look youthful and flawless as I age a year older. So, is there any sponsor here? I guess I will have to ask hubby about this.
Sometimes I don’t just get something because it’s useful and practical. I will also buy some “collectibles” cosmetics because the packagings are attractive. Take a look at those Royal Assets from M.A.C, simply gorgeous huh?
There are 3 different combinations of eye shadows which you can choose from based on the effect that you like. You can either go for Cool Eyes, Smokey Eyes or Metallic Eyes. Personally, I will only go for Cool Eyes as I’m really clueless on how to get those smokey effect even if I read so much about it, and I prefer a much natural look, so if I am going to buy the eye colors, I will only get the Cool Eyes set. I love metallic colors of cosmetics, especially those in gold or silver. Of course, if you are not sure of how to look good it them, you better ask the sales lady before you get the whole range of MAC Antiquitease. The colors are great if you like those shiny effect on your face, but try to minimize it at one part of your face so that you won’t end up like performing for an opera show.
See? Before I can finish my existing cosmetics, I’m eying for another range. If I continue to buy every single range of makeup launched in the market, I will be broke in no time. Who can afford to buy everything, unless she’s really good at making money or she’s born rich like Paris. Don’t you envy girls like that?
OK, let me check out the pricing of those cosmetics first. I don’t want to blow my cards.
I love to get makeup sets last time because they are very convenient for traveling. Besides, most of the colors are very not too seasonal and you can wear the colors anytime of the year. It’s more about basic makeup instead of going for the in and hot look.
Since the Christmas sales is around the corner, most of the cosmetic counters are launching their makeup sets. I have browsed at the counters just now and there are so many nice ones to get! But how to get more money to buy more stuffs? If you keep using the credit cards, what if you exceeded your limit and you can’t pay for it? I still can’t made up my mind on which blush to get. I have shortlisted 3 blushers from different brands and here they are:

I seldom put on foundation and I prefer to have a natural look. That’s why I’m thinking of getting a mousse blusher which can be easily blended onto my cheeks. I’m not sure about the texture yet, so I will have to test it out first.
The reason I’m attracted to the blusher is the packing. It looks so cute! I think the pink looks really nice as if you have just came back from a nice holiday on cruises.
- Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Powder Blush
It has sculpting 3-D Powder that adds depth to facial contour. I’m just wondering if it will work for me.
So, which one should I get? Or maybe I should try all the blush from one counter to another first huh?
