All about Beauty

This is a busy month for hubby and I, especially since we are starting some new products and he’s getting into a new line. I’m trying to check out other competitors’ products too, and do a rough market survey. I guess I have most of the name tags with logos for most of the major industrial fairs in Bangkok now. LOL!

So far, my staffs have been very helpful and good enough. I would like to push them more but I can’t do so, for fear of losing any of them now especially at this critical moment. But I might need to get more sales to cover our investment in diversifying the company. Oh ya, I need to get a new office building!

We visited an architect fair yesterday and I love what I’d seen there. I hope that we will be able to buy a land one day, and build our own house here in Thailand. It’s going to cost a bomb but it’d be my dream house come through. I like those latest building materials especially the waterproof kitchen!!! It’s awesome! It’s a must for Bangkok since it’s a flood plain, so no one knows for sure if a major flood will happen again.

I like those gazebos like those from pergolas. I must have one in my garden and I’ll design the landscape.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, do check out baltimore Mother’s day flowers promotion if you are interested. My mom is not keen of receiving flowers and she prefers to plant her own. She’s good at gardening anyway.

I haven’t celebrated Mother’s Day with her for years, that’s the price of living abroad and she’s still in my home country. But we are meeting up at least once a year, so I’ll make it up to her.

The place is just 80% completed and I’m not sure when will the whole condo be done. Actually, after staying in it for months, I can’t be bothered much about the progress, as long as the kitchen is fixed and my boy’s bed is here. But maybe hubby is still trying to do some other “projects” as I saw him getting another quote from another contractor. Whatever…. just don’t dirty to place.

I’m glad that I don’t have a tub now, so I can forget about scrubbing the tub or getting those hot tub covers. Not having a cleaner is a pain in the a**.

Can’t wait for my ex cleaner to be ready to be back to work.

I’m not sure what’s the exact term of my gals’ school project today, but she has to bring some money and a toy to be sold in class as part of their weekly term. She’s supposed to bring only ONE toy, but this morning, she packed a bag of old toys. OMG. I didn’t let her bring all the toys, of course, and telling her that these toys, once sold, won’t be coming back. But she said, ok la, don’t come back never mind, I don’t want already. O.o

In the end, she brought along her favorite wand and another toy, which I can’t remember. I will not buy her another wand, and let her “suffer” the consequence of selling one of her favorite toys. LOL!

And they use real money in this learning process, instead of challenge coin or fake notes. So, I guess she will spend all her money.

Don’t you wish that you will have more money to spend? If I may, I will shop till I drop, buying all those designer bags, shoes, Black diamond earrings, jewelry and more houses and cars!

That’s the kind of life I wish I can afford, without working too hard to it! But in reality, it’s totally different. Everything I have is earned the hard way as I’m not born nor married to rich family.

But then again, I can be very proud of myself for achieving on my own.

I wish that I have more money to spend, and it would be better if there will be endless amount of money for me to spend! Then, I will buy all the designer bags, mac 90, shoes, and all the nice houses and cars which I’ve longed to collect. That will be a dream come true.

But again, dreams hardly come true unless you work for it. Come on, I’m too old to believe in fairy tales or Christmas wishes, so all I know is, you need to put in some effort to archive your dream, unless you are born rich, that will be a different story.

Most mothers here prefer sending their kids to private school as public schools have a lot of social issues, such as early pregnancy and drugs. As much as we are aware of non 12 step program and the efforts in preventing drug abuse in teens, I don’t think it only happens in public schools. Even private schools have its own issues in dealing with drugs but most have lesser students and thus it’s easier to control. Bear in mind that most children in private schools are pretty well of, so maybe they are monitored more by nannies or maids? Or they have better upbringing?

It’s just not about school, it’s about the people at  the school.

I love music even if  I can’t play any musical instrument well. Actually, I used to be able to play the piano, organ, some guitar, flute and etc, but I’ve forgotten the skills over years. That’s called aging.

I wonder if I should get one of those Fender Guitars and start playing music again? I would love to buy a piano now if I can afford it too! My place is too small for grand, which is my ultimate dream of musical instrument.

Or maybe I should just start by getting a violin and enroll one of my kids to the class. LOL!

My dad called me last night, telling us that they might visit us during the next school holiday. All this while, it’s me who took the initiative to book their tickets and invite my parents to fly here and visit us, but this time, they will be booking the flight on their own? Do you know why? It’s due to the sale of Air Asia! It’s too hard to be missed.

I wonder if they will purchase the travel insurance, as personally, I always get one whenever I fly. It might not cover much, as comparing to Travel Insurance Direct, but it’s better than none. You can be ruled out the risk of getting sick or hospitalized when you are away on vacation, and it’s always better to insure your luggage, just in case they are lost during transit and transportation. I found that this company offers pet insurance too, which is something you can’t get from airline insurance.

We haven’t planned our vacation this year especially since we have lost so much due to the flood, and spent a lot of money buying and renovating our condo. Hopefully, my business will be more promising this year, or hubby will get a better job offer which pays for kids education and accommodation! I am praying hard that it will be a better year for all of us.
