When I was reading about The Ultimate Mommy Makeover, I had this thought across my mind about how many mothers still remember to look good after marriage and kids. I’m hanging out with mothers who are self-conscious about their looks and they shop as much as I do to update out wardrobe, as well as engaging in medicure, pedicure, facial and spa.
But there are other mothers who can’t enjoy these as much as we do. If they managed to get back to pre-pregnancy state in a bliss, and still look gorgeous after having babies, they are considered lucky. But what if some of them can’t do it and think that they are fat and unattractive? Won’t that put a strain on their self-esteems? That’s why I never go against plastic surgery, as long as it’s being carried out by professional surgeons and the main purpose of doing it is for enhancing our looks. Nonetheless, I don’t agree on some women who purposely enlarge their breasts like some porn stars when they don’t even need it!
If a mother feels good about herself after a tummy tuck or a breast lift, why not? Some of us have to work harder to get back in shape after childbearing, and it’s not as easy as it seems. Unless you are born with great genes, then you can give plastic surgery a pass.
Women can really go the extend of beautifying themselves. Chinese New Year is coming soon and most of my friends are busy arranging their appointment with various salons for hair, medicure, pedicure, facial as well as eyebrow and eyeliner embroidery. One of my knitting friends has just done her embroidery and I have to admit that she looks prettier now. She’s been talking me into going for it but I’m too scared to try it out. I have lower threshold in pain and anything to do with poking needles into my skin doesn’t look appealing to me. Besides that, I’m too chickened and worried that accident might happen while the lady is working on my eyeliner and what if I’m blind later? Will my medicare insurance cover this for me or not? LOL! OK, I’m just thinking too much…
I would like to hear from the other ladies. Have you done eyebrow and eyeliner embroidery? Is it painful? Do you like it?
I thought this would only happen in oversea, but I was wrong. I happened to know this woman who’s addicted to plastic surgery. She will get some part of her face fixed or go for liposuction once a year. She’s in a 50s, and she has a rich husband. No wonder she can afford all these surgeries to maintain her look. I won’t say she looks good but just younger than her age.
She doesn’t seem to be satisfied with herself, so it’s a lack of confidence or just merely some addiction? It’s not like drug addictions where you can just get some help from drug rehabs. For addiction to plastic surgery, I think the only way is just to build the self confidence. I just hope that she’s not turning into another Michael Jackson, that’s too much.
I have to admit that it did come across my mind if I should go for liposuction when I was having my confinement. I gained close to 20 kg for both of my pregnancies, and it’s quite depressing seeing how fat I was right after I had my babies. But luckily I was breastfeeding exclusively for both babies and I managed to shed off the weight and get back in shape 6 months after delivery. Besides that, I didn’t go on diet but I was eating well.
But if a woman thinks that by getting a Liposuction will boost her confidence, I don’t have any opinion about it. It’s a personal choice but you need the doctor’s consent too. I have read about a few articles about women endangering their lives because they were trying to remove too much fat tissues at a go. You just have to talk to the surgeon if it’s really needed, and you are positively sure about going for it.
However, if I can’t look as good as Catherine Bailey at the age of 46, maybe I will go for liposuction too.
Who won’t want a body like that at that age?
I personally saw a woman who was badly injured by a golf ball. I was playing golf in Bangkok, and I was a bit shock with one of her eyes. If you are a golfer, you should know how badly it is to be hit by a golf ball, furthermore she was being hit in the eye! So she lost one of her eyes, and she should put on a fake eye ball or something. But since most of the lady caddies are poor, it’s impossible for them to consider anything like that.

When I was younger, I wanted to get a bracelet but I was too scare of the pain. Then, I decided to go for it when I was in my early 20s, but 2 of the dentists I visited advised me that it was not necessary since my it only concerned 2 of my canines, and it would be harder due to my age.
