Anessa Shiseido

I have been using the sunblock from Biotherm for the last 2 months, but I accidentally threw it away days ago when I was tidying up my room. :P

So, I am using Shiseido Anessa Mild Sunscreen (Face) EX SPF 43 PA+++ now and I love it! It’s non greasy, and it brightens up my face. I’m not using foundation after it, but just some concealer on my eye area. It’s just as simple as that!

I still have the body sunscreen from Shiseido body care, maybe once I’ve emptied the bottle, I will get the body sunscreen from Anessa, especially before my trip to Pattaya. I really feel like lying under the sun on one of those pool floats, knowing that I will be well protected by Anessa sunscreen from head to toe. :)

Vaseline Intensive Care For My Hands

I like the products from Vaseline. I used to get the petroleum jelly for my chapping lips, but these days, I will buy the hand and nail cream moisturizing lotion, the UV protection lotion for body as well as Vaseline Intensive Care on regular basis. I put some bottles of the hand lotions at the kitchen sinks of my house so that I can use them regular. My hands are quite dry after frequent washing and cooking, so the lotion helps a lot.

Furthermore, most products by Vaseline are very cheap, so you just don’t feel the pinch of buying them. LOL! BTW, they aren’t that bad, and you can try them out.

Buying Skincare Products in Bangkok

I went shopping at Siam Paragon the other day, and I learned something about buying skincare and cosmetic in Bangkok. All these major brands only offer membership to regular customers for a particular counter at a shopping mall only, and points cannot be collected for other counter on the same brand. It’s different from Malaysia. I buy skincare products anywhere in Malaysia, as long as I show them my member card or identity card, I can easily collect points for my purchase and later on, I can get some redemption on the points collected.

So, I have made up my mind where to get my skincare products from in Bangkok now. For Estee Lauder, I will shop at Robinson Rangsit. For Shiseido, I will buy from Siam Paragon. I bought Shiseido Revital Wrinklelift Retino Science Lotion AA, a sunblock by Anessa, and the enriched softener by White Lucent that day, and I will probably use them in the morning as my night routine consists of products by Estee Lauder. I like to use whitening products in the day and anti aging products at night. :)

So, I guess I won’t simply buy skincare products anyway in Bangkok now. It’s best to stick to the same counter huh? But too bad, the promoters of both counters can’t speak English. Gee…

Estee Lauder Intensive Lifting Eye Creme

I’ve started using Estee Lauder Intensive Lifting Eye Creme for a few days and besides that instant brightening effect, I haven’t seen how it can work well for me yet. Like most face or eye cream, we need to use the products for some time before we can see some results. But nonetheless, it doesn’t have that pleasant scent like Estee Lauder Intensive Lifting Creme which I really like. The texture is great as you can easily smooth the eye cream around your eye area, and I just have to use more if I want to have an eye massage.

I guess I will continue to use it and see if it will reduce my fine lines and dark circles in 3 weeks. That should be long enough to know if its beauty properties work for me. If it’s not working, I will look for another eye cream. I’m really keen to try out eye creams even if some of them are as expensive as my car insurance. LOL!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrate

I bought a set of products by Estee Lauder which includes Advanced Night Repair Concentrate, Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex and Advanced Night Repair. I started using Advanced Night Repair Concentrate a month ago, and even if I supposed to finish it in 21 days, but it dragged for more than a month. I like its effect on my skin, and even if I have a stressful life here in Bangkok, my complexion is still doing well. Nonetheless, it will be too rich to me if I apply Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Creme right after the serum, so I only use both of them sparingly.

After this, I will continue with Advance Night Repair as my daily serum. Hopefully, my skin will continue to benefit from it.

Mask by Olay Total Effects

I have a few sets of sheet masks which I rotate and use them every few days depending on my mood and skin condition. I don’t always go for expensive mask because I found a new nice ones from the more affordable types too.

I like the sheet masks from Olay Total Effect and I think it’s great. I’ve used a box of 3 sheets and I like how moisturized my face is every each use. I can see some lifting and “slimming” effect too, so it’s like Phentermine to my face. LOL! The mask is very wet, so once you have done with your face, don’t dump the sheet away. I used it for my neck, elbows and knees. Besides that, I managed to squeeze out a lot of liquid mask from the pack and use it as lotion. Just pat it on anywhere you like!

Besides that, the sheet is very stretchable. Just stretch it along your face and try to cover as much as possible.

However, it might be too rich for certain skin type. If you have oily skin, maybe you can just put the mask on for less than 10 minutes and see if it suits you. The best thing is, it’s really affordable!

Continue with Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv

I made up my mind to continue with products from Estee Lauder, after reading some recommendations and reviews. So, I bought these skincare products today…

Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Revitalizing Comfort Creme

Estee Lauder Intensive Lifting Eye Creme

I wanted to get the Intensive Lifting face creme but the counter was out of stock. Besides that, I’m a bit t*lan that I don’t have free skincare samples but just 2 umbrellas. @#*@#%$@#& I saw the promotion details later on that there are free gift sets, but I really cannot read anything from there!!! Maybe I misinterpret the gift sets as free gifts? :P I better get a translator to tell me more about it…

Anyway, my admin jobs and mothering duties are quite stressful, so hopefully my skin will continue to benefit from Re-Nutriv.

Which Skincare to Buy?

My Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Cream is almost finishing, and so does my La Mer The Eye Concentrate. So, I’m thinking if I should just continue with Re-Nutriv and which eye cream should I be trying next? I really like the Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Cream, even if it might be too rich to some women. The smell is so nice, you will always look forward to using it again.

As for La Mer The Eye Concentrate, I’m “immune” to its effect now, so I need to source for another eye cream. I guess I will have to make a trip to the shopping malls in Bangkok or try to find one frantically at Bangkok Airport while rushing for my flight later on huh?

Besides that, I need to get a good hand cream too. I’ve been washing the faucets, preparing meals, and doing the laundry here in Bangkok. My hands are not as healthy looking as before, thus I desperately need a good hand cream now!  My Multivitamin Hand and Nail Treatment by Dermalogica is finishing too, so I have to get a good hand cream fast! This hand cream from Dermalogica is too expensive, considering that I apply one many times a day. I think I can easily finish a tube in a week! So, any recommendation? Which hand cream is good?

Dr. Brandt Skincare

I came across this brand when I was shopping at Bangkok International Airport. I didn’t try out the products since I only planned to get La Mer at that time. All I know about Dr. Brandt is Madonna is using his products and Dr. Fred Brandt is a famous cosmetic dermatologist.

If you are looking for one of the best anti wrinkle cream, maybe you would like to check out the skincare range by Dr. Brandt which is popular in fighting wrinkles and promoting firmness with its unique botanical ingredients such as green tea, vitamin C and vitamin A. I’ve just read from a magazine that even if he doesn’t come out with whitening series, but his products are great fading freckles and even out the skin tone. So, I don’t have to worry about those brown spots if I’m sunbathing lying on my outdoor furniture huh? LOL!

So, have you tried Dr. Brandt? I don’t think I will get them now. I still have a batch of new skincare products in my luggage. :P

SKII Whitening Source Dermdefinition Serum and Mask

I wanted to try out the new whitening foundation from SKII but too bad it’s not available yet in Ipoh. Thus, I bought SKII Whitening Source Dermdefinition serum and sheet masks instead. I am still using CyberWhite Ex Extra Concentrated Brightening Essence by Estee Lauder, but once it’s finished, I feel like changing to other whitening products by Japanese brands. There’s nothing wrong with CyberWhite Ex Extra Concentrated Brightening Essence and in fact, my spots are less visible now. But I’m a beauty freak, so I like to try out new products. :P Too bad I don’t have a powerful computer memory, if not I will list out all the products I’ve tried. LOL!

The serum comes in a new packaging but it’s only 30ml as comparing to the bigger size of 50ml. The promoter said that I can use it for 3 months, but judging from my experience, I will finish that bottle in 2 months. So, let’s see if it works for me later. It’s pretty sunny now in Bangkok and I really need more whitening products.
