SKII Whitening Source Dermdefinition Serum and Mask

I wanted to try out the new whitening foundation from SKII but too bad it’s not available yet in Ipoh. Thus, I bought SKII Whitening Source Dermdefinition serum and sheet masks instead. I am still using CyberWhite Ex Extra Concentrated Brightening Essence by Estee Lauder, but once it’s finished, I feel like changing to other whitening products by Japanese brands. There’s nothing wrong with CyberWhite Ex Extra Concentrated Brightening Essence and in fact, my spots are less visible now. But I’m a beauty freak, so I like to try out new products. :P Too bad I don’t have a powerful computer memory, if not I will list out all the products I’ve tried. LOL!

The serum comes in a new packaging but it’s only 30ml as comparing to the bigger size of 50ml. The promoter said that I can use it for 3 months, but judging from my experience, I will finish that bottle in 2 months. So, let’s see if it works for me later. It’s pretty sunny now in Bangkok and I really need more whitening products.

Kiehl’s Gift Set for Mother and Baby

Taking care of a baby might take up most of a mother’s time, but we have to pamper ourselves as well. There are a lot of promotion sets offered by major skincare brands, and I’m checking them out too because buying in sets are cheaper than usual. Besides that, you can give them away to your mother or hint your husband to give you the set since you are the mother of your kids. LOL!

Check out the gift set by Kiehl which are not only meant for mother, even your baby can use the products too.

This set includes:

  • Creme de Corps the all-over body moisturizer
  • “Lavender” Hand and Body Lotion
  • Body Massage Oil for body massage or emollient moisturizing oil
  • Lip Balm #1, the signature and popular product in protecting the delicate lips
  • Lavender Foaming-Relaxing Bath with Sea Salts and Aloe which is suitable for baby’s delicate skin

So, let’s find out if the set is available here too!

Some Beauty Products…

I didn’t have much to do in Bangkok except shopping for the house mostly. I still don’t have time to check out the beauty products like RMK curl separate mascara, Clarins UV base with SPF 40, and the whitening mask from Cosme Decorte.

However, I managed to try out a few items and here’s my review:

1. Loreal’s Telescopic Clean Mascara

07052008893.jpg

I tried it for a few days and it is really easy to apply the mascara without clumps. However, it will only lengthen my lashes, so I still have to use another mascara to curl or thicken my fine lashes. It’s very affordable, so you can think about getting one if you prefer long lashes. BTW, it’s very easy to be removed, so it’s suitable for someone who’s lazy to remove makeup like me.

2. Estee Lauder CyberWhite Ex Extra Brightening UV Protector with SPF50/PA++

I don’t really like it at first because it’s richer and creamer than my usual sunblock. But then I found that it’s best to put a thick layer of sunscreen on my face and slowly pat it until it’s totally absorbed. Thus, you really need to put in more time for this sunscreen if you plan to apply another layer of foundation or anything else after the sunscreen protector. I have to look for a sunscreen with at least SPF50 now since I’m being exposed to the sun a lot, even by staying in the house in Bangkok! So, I’ve shortlisted this sunscreen in my list, but I still want to try some other brands before buying one.

3. Loreal Revitalift Double Eye Lift

I finally bought this eye cream last Sunday. It’s really cheap, so no harm getting one and see if it works for me. I don’t feel the tingling sensation when I apply the eye gel on my upper eye lids. Frankly, I didn’t see any significant lifting effect, as comparing to my La Mer. :P

But I have only used it for a week, so maybe I will give it another try for a few more weeks. Let’s see how…

I guess I will be getting a few more beauty products at the airport if I have time for shopping. I want to make a trip to some shopping malls again, but we are too busy for that. Hopefully hubby can drop me at The Emporium or Central World when he goes shopping for video cards. Then I can go shopping on my own!

Cosme Decorte by Kose

When it comes to whitening products, personally, I prefer major Japanese brands. That’s why I bought lots of products from Shiseido years ago, but then later SKII and some products from Kose. I’m trying Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Creme by Estee Lauder now because I wanted something that comes with whitening and anti-aging. But if you are looking for whitening products, maybe you can check out the products from The White-Science range of Cosme Decorte by Kose. The White-Science products concentrate on improving skin color by its unique whitening system that reduces skin redness and strengthens the skin DNA. I guess like most whitening products, the concept is about the same, but the differences lie on the ingredients used.

But if I would to buy anything from the range, I might want to try the deep whitening mask by Cosme Decorte. I always go for mask if I still have lots of unfinished skincare products. I use mask frequently, so it’s pretty easy to finish a box of 6.

Frankly, I think the amount of money I spent on buying mask a year is equivalent to buying one of those Chevy grilles. LOL! But I found another way of keeping my skin moisturized without using mask too. Just soak the facial cottons in softener or moisturizing lotion. Then peel them into thinner slides and spread them out evenly on your face, just like mask sheets. You will see the difference after 10 minutes.

Cartidea by Dr. Patrick Allaume

I have been using beauty products for years, but I haven’t taken any beauty supplement due to breastfeeding. Since I’m not a breastfeeding mother anymore, I’m looking for some oral care products. Cartidea was introduced on Queen, my favorite beauty TV program, of course they didn’t mention the brand name but only the main ingredient. I searched for it and found the brand but too bad it’s only sold in Taiwan.

Cartidea Pink Essence is claimed that your skin will improved significantly after 7 days and it’s rich of regenerating bio-marine collagen complex which is a form of protein that provides the primary support of your skin. The skin will be more suppled and moisturized if the skin collagen is stronger and it helps in preventing fine line and wrinkle too. I might be exposing to sun a lot after relocating to Bangkok and I might start playing golf again. Or should I say just whack the golf balls since my skill is pretty rusty now? LOL! Thus, I know that only by using skincare products and sunscreen is not good enough, I need some oral care product now!

So, I wonder if Cartidea Pink Essence will ever be sold in Malaysia or in Bangkok? If you can read Chinese, check out the official website. If not, just check out the ads, but it’s not in English!

CyberWhite Ex and Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Creme by Estee Lauder

You know? I’m a shopping freak for beauty products. My friends asked if I ever finish all of the products I buy, and YES! I did finish some of them, but if the products are not suitable for me or I can’t see any improvement, I will discontinue no matter how much is left in the bottle. I don’t waste time using nonsense on my face. :P

I have been using Casmara for more than 4 months but my skin is getting immune to the products. Thus, it’s time to switch to other range. I don’t know how some women can use the same products for years, but for me, I can’t. I have to switch after a few months, even if the products are great on me. Sometime later, they just lose their wonders and I have to shop for others. That’s all.

So, after some consideration, I decided to get these:

Estee Lauder CyberWhite Extra Brightening Moisture Lotion

CyberWhite Ex Extra Concentrated Brightening Essence

Re-Nutriv Intensive Lifting Creme

I prefer to get something for more mature skin since I’m already 30 years old. But for younger girls, they can just get the moisturizer from CyberWhite Ex. Nonetheless, it’s never too early to start anti aging products as long as they are not too heavy on your skin.

I’ve been using the range for 3 days and I can easily see the brightening effect on my face. Some said that it’s only a temporary effect but if the products you are using can’t let you see the brightening effect immediately, do you think it will work in one month? How fast will the effect be?

Besides that, I love the free samples!!!

Some women think that they need to read some inspirational books like The Secret by Rhonda Byrne to understand more about their lives and feel happy about themselves but to me, I just need shopping and great beauty products. :)

Imperial Herbs Flow Mask Sheets by The Face Shop

I bought a set of 5 Imperial Herbs Flow Mask Sheets by The Face Shop some time ago but I only got time to try them out last week. For better results, it’s best if you can get all the 5 sheets and use them for 5 days consecutively. After this DIY facial pampering, you don’t have to put on any mask for as long as 2 weeks as your face is well revitalized.

26032008834.jpg

Don’t forget to ask the promoter to label the sequence of the mask sheets. But if you have forgotten, here’s the sequence:

Day 1: Dioscoreae Rhizoma & Japanese Cornel to hydrate the skin

Day 2: Tawny Mulberry Mushroom & Sika Deer Antlers for healthier skin

Day 3: Red Ginseng & Cnidium Officinale to improve elasticity

Day 4: Apricot Kernel & Licorice to comfort the skin

Day 5: Prepared Rehmannia Root & Angelicae Gigantis Radix to revitalize the skin

If you are interested to know how these herbs can do wonder for your skin, check out the benefits listed on the back of the packaging. If you are one of those ladies who are too lazy or busy with your laptop rental business or stressful work, these mask sheets might work for you. You just need to use them for 5 days for a better complexion.

Don’t ask me what all these herbs look like as I only know a few of them. LOL! But some of them do smell like Chinese medicine, if you prefer perfume or flowery scent mask sheets, the herbal mask might not be your liking. There are flower scent mask sheets by The Face Shop too, and I have tried a few. I didn’t write about it as I can’t see any different except the sweet smell and a hydrated skin. But if you have sensitive skin, it’s best to avoid all those scented masks. If not, you might develop some skin problems later.

L’Oreal Revitalift Double Lifting Eye Cream

I went to get some stuffs at Guardian just now and I couldn’t help noticing the bottles L’Oreal Revitalift Double Lifting Eye Cream which were being placed on the rack. They are only selling at RM49 (or RM49.90?), so it’s worth a try.

lot023.jpg

I’ve been using La Mer Eye Concentrate for months and I’m still in love with it. However, I don’t mind using this product to see if it’s really that effective in lifting up the upper eye lids. This double eye cream comes with at intense tightening gel, that re-tightens skin instantly upon used. Maybe it works like a temporary eye lift or just some tingling sensation? That I will have to find out one day.

I haven’t bought the eye cream. If I get it just now, hubby will be wondering how many pairs of eyes I have. I better shop alone. :P Maybe I will grab a bottle of Loreal Dermo Expertise Revitalift Double Lifting Gel and Anti Wrinkle Cream. Maybe it will save me from having a San Francisco facelift. LOL!

Natural Skin Care Treatments by Doctor D. Schwab

I’m not so particular about green products and I’m prefer skincare products with fragrance which smell much better than the natural ingredients. Nonetheless, if you have sensitive skin or you prefer organic skincare products, then you might want to find out more about the green skincare solution by Doctor D. Schwab.

drschwab_group1.jpg

These green products come in various range and you can basically find anything you want for a complete skincare routine. One of the natural skin moisturizers caught my attention though, which is the Rescue Cream.

rescue-cream.jpg

This face cream has healing properties of Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly and various botanicals like Arnica and Aloe that help to calm the skin and promote instant relief. If you have just done a laser treatment or having some surgical wound, you might think about getting this cream since it’s very affordable.

Nonetheless, I haven’t tried them out. Let me know if they are great, ok?

How Do You Remove Your Makeup?

I seldom wear makeup but I use makeup removal to remove my sunblock base. I always practice double cleansing in the evening, unless I’m too tired to do so when I’m traveling. I’m using the makeup removals from Loreal and Coverderm, but my friend recommended that I try makeup removal wipes because they are effective in removing eye makeup such as waterproof mascara. It’s quite troublesome to bring along so many bottles of skincare products and if the wipes are great at replacing my eye makeup and face removals, I might want to try them out. So far, she told me that she’s using the wipes from Simple, and it’s effective enough to remove her makeup.

I wonder if the makeup removal wipes from Kao Biore is available at Guardian or Watson now? I forgot to get the wipes before my trip to Bangkok and I was busy with packing and getting a travel health insurance.

I might get the wipes for my next trip to Bangkok. I don’t want to stuff so many bottles in my luggage again.
