Thai Massage

I love going to spa and massage, but I don’t really fancy Thai massage as it’s not as comfortable as Balinese or Swedish massage. However, if you feel like you are having some stitch joints or muscles, go for Thai massage.

I actually took some photos of how the therapist bended hubby’s legs and arms in various angles, but they are too ugly to be shown on my beauty blog. LOL! He asked her to give him harder pressure and as the result, he felt pain through out the 60 minutes massage. LOL!

Anyway, I hope that I can try some Balinese massage this weekend. I have gained some weight on my stay and I don’t take any diet pills like generic Phentermine ok? So, maybe I can just ask them to concentrate more on my flabby thigh and tummy with slimming essential oils. Mmm… that will be great.

Home Spa

I’m going for spa again tomorrow but not at my regular spa center. My friend has set up her spa business, so I signed up a package with her. Hubby is going to join me for the session, but in separate room ok? LOL!

She’s been suggesting that we get the SG2000 home spa unit from Grand Sun since the price is affordable and we can use it at home. Nonetheless, I don’t have a bath tub and even if I do, soaking myself in the tub for 20 minutes sounds like a luxury for me when kids running and screaming around in the room. I just have to do this out of the house!

On the other hand, hubby suggested that I might think about this as a business opportunity in Bangkok since spa is very popular there. Nonetheless, the idea of setting up a new business, renovating the place, looking for leather office chairs and other furniture as well as hiring staffs which I can’t communicate with doesn’t sound like something exciting to me. I have been really lazy for the years and I don’t feel like running the biz all by myself. I don’t mind help hubby with his though as long as I’m not the main player. Frankly, I would rather fill my free time with shopping and spa. LOL!

So, if you can afford it, think about setting up a home spa, it’s more convenient doing it at home huh?

Body Scrub

I have been very lazy to do my own body scrub at home so I booked a session at the spa center. I thought they would be using some salt scrub, but they convinced me to try the new scrubbing cream from Lucy Belle. This grape fragrant scrubbing cream has grape extract and alpha hydroxy acid and mildly softens and removes the cuticles, thus your skin will be more radiant after every use. But it has only 110g per bottle, so you can only use it twice for the whole body.

So, if you do it at the spa center, they will mix the scrubbing cream with fresh milk which will enhance the whitening effect. How was I flattered!

After that, the therapist will massage the mixture in spiral motion all over your body. It’s like a body massage, but replacing the massage oil with scrubbing cream. It took about an hour to complete the whole session and a you definitely need to take a shower after this! It’s been 3 days after my spa session and my skin is still smooth and soft. So, I really like the scrubbing cream, but again, I’m too lazy to do it by myself!

Ayura Spa at Langkawi Spa and Beach Resort

I signed up the spa package at Berjaya Beach and Spa Resort during our trip to Langkawi last month. My kids were not joining us, so hubby and I could spend some time for body and foot massage respectively. Most of the therapist from Ayura Spa are Balinese so you should know how relaxing their massage methods are.

I like the surrounding of the spa. It’s built in the woods and it’s so quiet!

Too bad we couldn’t try out the pools as they were under some maintenance. We only went for whole body massage and hubby and I shared the same room.

I took aromatherapy massage while hubby tried deep relaxing massage. It should be quite painful for him, but he slept through the session. LOL!

The next day, we had foot massage by the poolside.

It’s so nice to have some pampering under the blue sky while enjoying the sea breeze.

But then again, I have lower tolerance for pain and hence I was fully aware of what’s going on and I screamed at some spots of my feet. On the other hand, my hubby was enjoying the pain. Gee…how to enjoy???

I missed my spa appointment on Wednesday. The lady at the reception desk called me up 2 hours after my appointment. Excuse me, why can’t she call me earlier? LOL! I better don’t miss my spa next week. I need to have some pampering again.

Rose Tea Spa Bath and Relaxing Body Massage

It’s my birthday today, so I decided to get myself some pampering after hearing some suggestions from blogger friends. I went for rose and tea spa and a relaxing body massage.

Rose and Tea Spa

I know that bath doesn’t look too nice, but it’s due to the tea. At least the nice scent of rose was very relaxing and I managed to catch a cat nap in the tub. After that, I was given a relaxing body massage. I wanted to get a Swedish massage initially, but the masseur suggested that I tried another massage which is more relaxing. Actually, it’s a bit painful as she concentrated more on pressure points and it seemed like Thai massage to me. But she’s right, I felt lighter and more relaxed at the massage.

So, did I shop? Yes I did, but of course I didn’t get an egg beater or any microwave ovens, ok? LOL! Sorry, I was joking to someone that I might just bake myself a birthday cake, but no, no cakes for me. I’m uploading the photos right now and once it’s done, I will blog about my shopping spree.

It’s a lazy afternoon for me again. I’m enjoying my spa today and I’ve added a body scrub and body wrap session into it because I’m too lazy to do it myself this week. So let me enjoy myself now, ok?

Rose and Tea Spa Again

Do you know what’s the best way of spending an afternoon, it’s spa. Just go for spa and 2 hours later, you will feel so good about yourself.

I was in a bad mood, so I went for my spa session today. No, not that painful hot stone spa, but the relaxing spa with tea and rose bath and one and a half hour of full body massage. The lavender massage oil did wonder in relaxing my tense and I almost fell asleep. Of course, the masseur was doing a very good job too.

After that spa, I felt a lot better. I did some shopping too, just to get the bra shaper and some tops. It’s great to be relax again and forget about all those things that were bothering me. To me, both spa and shopping are my therapies.

Unisex Spa at Summerset Resort

I have been asking hubby to join out the spa session with me since I have so many packages paid!!! I can’t possibly finish them all by the end of the year unless I am going every fortnight, without skipping. However, he has been giving me excuses that he is busy with his work, so a 3 hours spa is impossible. But bear in mind, he has 4 hours for golf!

So, I wonder when I can have a nice spa session with him? :P Anyway, if you are willing to try out, I found that the Veqish Spa at Summerset Resort looks really nice. I hope that we will have to try it out one day. Gee…I canceled my spa today, and I’m a bit regretted. :P

Clarins Body Treatments

I don’t know how could I missed the newsletter but it was only last night that I saw the newsletter from Clarins. I haven’t tried their facial or body treatments before, but it seems very nice.

When I was pregnant, I wanted to try their prenatal massage, but it’s only available in KL. I couldn’t make it there even if I was in KL as the time was just not right for me.

But now, I’m eying on the body treatments that start at RM138. It includes silhouette from the Andes and firming from Guraya. I’m not sure what they are for, but I an excited about FIRMING! LOL!

I better call up Parkson Ipoh Parade for more info.

My Second Hot Stone Spa Experience

I went for hot stone spa again reluctantly. I told the spa center that it was very painful the first time, and the bruises took a week to heel. I had to choose my tops wisely not to expose my purplish back. But no point wasting the package, so I die die also gave it another try.

This time, the spa began with far infra red chamber where I was there for 20 minutes of sauna. It’s not the same as normal sauna as this sauna from Lucy Belle promotes some health properties too.

Far Infra Red Sauna

It’s nice to be sitting in there, reading a magazine and listening to nice music. But the heat really made me sweat, oh boy, hopefully I lost an inch after that session. :P

Then, I proceeded to ozone water spa for detoxification, but I felt that it’s really one good spa for dead skin cell removal. The masseur told me that most of the dead skin cell will be removed too, and I saw that dirty residue by the side of the tub once I was done. Ewww!

After that, it’s the session that I was afraid the most. I told her to be gentle as I have very low pain threshold. Here are the tools that will be used through out the body massage and the head spa sessions. I had blogged about the massage session in previous post, so this time I will only feature the tools.

  • For body

The essential oils

The body scraper

Hot Stone Massager

  • For Head Spa

Hair brush for patting on the scalp

A comb for head spa

After the massage, I had the bruises again. But this time, it was not as bad as the first spa. However, it has been more than 5 days, but it is still there. So, I still need to wait for a week before it clears out completely.
